You might find the overall tire diameters of the tire sizes GM offers are closer than you think. https://tiresize.com/calculator/ For 2021 Sierra, NHT is only offered on SLE, the 3SB version of the Elevation and the SLT. NHT requires either the 5.3 or 6.2, Of those 3, the 6.2 is only available on SLT. Requires 18's or 20's. Note available with X31 or 22's. Looks like there may be some restrictions on ordering NHT for 'stock' orders as opposed to 'sold' orders. On the chev, NHT is available on Custom, LT, RST, LTZ and HC. (also has lots of restrictions) Tow mirrors are now available without NHT, and NHT doesn't include them.

Doing mostly 2 lane rural driving, this one is regening about every 250 - 300 miles. I was always able to notice when regens occurred on the LML and L5P trucks I ran for many years - but not on the 3.0L. Decided to add an aftermarket monitor. It show regens about every 250 - 300 miles, and that they only last about 10 or 12 minutes/miles. I've never put any additive in any of them.

Afaik, it's the same windshield. HUD info is projected from a unit in the dash. (similar to the small unit that projects the dots on the forward collision warning, but a larger projector) HUD was one of those options that I figured was just a gimmick. Turns out it's a 'gimmick' that I'd like on them all....

As posted by above, the LM2 and L5P both use the TP1015 The Fuel Filter Minder determines the amount of filter blockage . Diesel supplement suggests changing it in the LM2 at the earliest of 30,000 miles, 2 years or when the filter minder recommends it. Get some dirty fuel and the filter minder will be asking for a change. L5P the (6.6) diesel supplement recommendation is 22,500 miles or 2 years or when filter minder suggests it. Presumably the difference in miles reflects the difference in fuel mpg between the 2 engines. For $15 over a couple years, I'll likely just stick with the TP1015.

One downside if the box is heavily used is that it is the 'shortbox' size. Not available in the 'standard' box size.

I usually, but not always, use the PB on mine. Kinda depends on slope where it is parked. Sometimes (but not usually) when it is on, I intentionally give gentle throttle and have it auto release. Now has about 5000 miles, none of these 'methods' has caused any codes.

3000/month is still a LOT of miles per year -- compared to average / typical users. I guess I'm biased because I'm happy with mine, but that seems like a perfect application for the 3.0L/10 speed.

Unit is the IOT (nav) version. I've been accessing the equalizer screen by pressing the 'sounds' button on from either the (FM) radio screen or the usb player screen. Anyway, after restarts it always has the EQ settings as they were set just before shutdown.. I was wondering if it would keep separate eq settings for each audio source -- but it seems to be 'one setting for all sources'. Doesn't seem to matter if the < (back arrow) or the X is used to back out of the eq screen.

3.0L exhaust brake is only active when the truck is in tow/haul.

There is a (long) list of things that may prevent auto stop/start from activating. I find it's not always obvious what is preventing it from doing so. (although frequently it's because I disabled it ...) FWIW, I've found that I can release the brake enough to get it to restart, with releasing enough that the truck will move. After doing that and getting a restarts, it doesn't re-stop until the minimum speed has again been reached. I have been at a light with if off, and had it restart before the light changed. (presumably that was the maximum time timer at work) Regen on the 3.0 takes about 10 miles, so its much shorter than either the L5P or the LML. I don't think I've been at a stop while in regen -- but imho it would make sense for it not to autostop if regen is active. These are the ones listed: Auto Stops may not occur and/or Auto Starts may occur because: . The climate control settings require the engine to be running to cool or heat the vehicle interior. . The vehicle battery charge is low. . The vehicle battery has recently been disconnected. . Minimum vehicle speed has not been reached since the last Auto Stop. . The accelerator pedal is pressed. . The engine or transmission is not at the required operating temperature. . The outside temperature is not in the required operating range. . The vehicle is in any gear other than D (Drive). . Tow/Haul Mode or other driver modes have been selected. . The vehicle is on a steep hill or grade. . The driver door has been opened or the driver seat belt has been unbuckled. . The hood has been opened. . The Auto Stop has reached the maximum allowed time.

Don't think there is one....yet. Trim wise, if we accept that - HC roughly like Denali (especially now that HC can have adaptive ride control added as an option) and SLT and LTZ are pretty much equivalent. and SLE and LT are pretty much equivalent. and WT equivalent to base Sierra AT4 is higher trim than SLT/LTZ and lower than Denali /HC OTOH, GMC does not have a lower trim lifted truck (Chev has custom Trailboss and LT Trailboss) Of course adding available options to any/all the trims makes it even more confusing. There are a lot more 'trim levels' available on the chev's. Add-in the 'special editions' and 'premium edition' packages that are offered on some trims makes feel like even more versions are available. I've always thought that GM made slight differences between the Silverado and Sierra trims partly to make price comparisons between them even more difficult. On older trucks I've had the ESC (stabilitrac) fault occur when there was a bad wheel bearing causing change in sensor gap, or a wiring issue near a wheel.

AT4 and Denali are both GMC. I'm not aware that Chev offers the PCP option...

I haven't tried remote start with low fuel. The OM warns against using remote start if fuel is low --- but doesn't include low fuel in the list of things that prevent remote start. 2021 Manual: Do not use remote start if the vehicle is low on fuel. The vehicle may run out of fuel. The vehicle cannot be remote started if: . The RKE transmitter is inside the vehicle or if the key is in the ignition. . The hood is not closed. . There is an emission control system malfunction and the lamp is on. . The ignition is in any mode other than off. . The hazard warning flashers are on. . Two remote starts or a remote start with an extension have been used. . The vehicle is not in P (Park). The engine will turn off during a remote vehicle start if: . The coolant temperature gets too high. . The oil pressure gets low.

He said the local tow was 2 miles. He one of the later posts he also said most local runs would be long enough to completely warm it up. I think we all agree that no engine would be happy if it only ever got to make 2 miles runs....
