  1. The keep changing what is available with what. (example - 10 speed no longer available on Elevation with 5.3L,, but still available if it has the 3.0L) Currently on SLT - 8 speed MQE - Standard on models equipped with (L84) 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine. - 10 speed MQB - Included and only available with (L87) 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine, (LM2) Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I6 engine or 4WD (L84) 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 engine with (PDT) SLT Premium Plus Package or (PDW) Texas Edition SLT Premium Plus Package. SLT not available with the 2.7T or the 4.3 or the 5.3L L82 (AFM version)
  2. The 3.0 is priced between the 5.3 and the 6.2. (I've no idea about the ram pricing, but the first LD pickup diesel sure disappointed a lot of owners) Failures (sometimes leading to replacement campaigns) can happen on more mature designs too.
  3. Any dealer can enter your vin and print the list for you. The GM social media route mentioned earlier is probably easier/quicker.
  4. They don't turn on the indicator lights in the dash on remote start -- even if the features enabled in the menus are running. They also turn off when the start button is pushed, so it will be necessary to turn them on again. This is different than the way they work in some other GMC's -- like the Acadia Denali that has auto heated seats which will turn themselves on when the vehicle is started by button. or by remote. The heater function should work too under remote -- but it will run the fan low until the coolant has warmed enough.
  5. Did you consider the 3.0L? Full torque at 1500. From Spec sheet: TORQUE WHERE IT COUNTS Diesel engines are all about torque, the LM2 delivers it at low rpm, where it counts when taking off under load. The engine’s peak torque of 460 lb.-ft. (624 Nm) is achieved at only 1,500 rpm, with 95 percent of that max twisting force available by 1,250 rpm. This gives drivers an immediate feeling of pulling power as soon as they touch the gas pedal. Noise-attenuating elements like acoustic resonators and fully decoupled cam covers with rubber-isolated fasteners help curb sound levels for exceptional refinement. The 6.2L also makes 460 ft-lb, but doesn't get there til 4100
  6. The way GM specs tires, the outside diameters are close to the same with the 18's and the 20's - so rpm per mile stays very close and speedos stay very close. As well as the differences for off-road use, the stiffer sidewall results in a harsher ride. Otoh, the stiffer 20" set-up will corner sharper because the stiffer tire has less body roll. One of the reasons that sports cars use tires with very low profile and very stiff suspension. Great on smooth surfaces, but sucks on expansion cracks, potholes, bumps or gutters and of course even in mild off-situations. I've not done the airing down thing I hear about for some off-road uses, but if there is little sidewall..... Of course all that argument is meaningless if the intended tire/rim system is going to use non-factory tires sizes.
  7. Normal for LM2 oil pressure. Coolant likely moves around a little, often but not always, a tick or two above 210 on the gauge. Nice looking truck!
  8. You can negotiate a 'deal' online and still do the delivery and final financial stuff IRL. No matter how negotiated, the seller still needs to 'deliver' the product and have it 'accepted' by the buyer to complete the transaction.
  9. 22"s with 275/50R22 all-season are for smooth pavement. Low sidewall is stiff. There is a reason GM doesn't offer them with Z71 or with or with either Trailboss I wouldn't have 22's on one, but it's your truck.... If I could have ordered it with them, my truck would have 18"s instead of 20"s.
  10. Remove a couple slats from the active shutters.
  11. There have been a bunch of fluid updates and changes over the last bunch of years. And the 10 speed uses another new fluid. Besides those that check wrong and then over fill they are likely also worried about the people that remember that GM uses a different fluid than the other makers and since they have a 20 year old part quart of an old dex fluid that is hanging around in the garage figure it must be what to use -- so add it because they checked the level incorrectly. (Check wrong and then add wrong fluid) Automatic Transmission (6-Speed Transmission) ---- DEXRON-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid. Automatic Transmission (8-Speed Transmission) ----- DEXRON-HP Automatic Transmission Fluid. Automatic Transmission (10-Speed Transmission)---- DEXRON ULV Automatic Transmission Fluid. We didn't seem concerned when a manual trans didn't have a dipstick. We don't seem concerned about no dipstick on a transfer case or differential either.
  12. Should be able to get the 10 speed with the LM2 on an elevation ( SB2 version) But not with a 5.3 Standard tailgate also shows available on SB2 elevation but not on 3VL elevation 3VL version seems to be a new order code as of Mar/8/21. It seems to have a long list of options not available that are available on the SB2 version' (bedliner, standard tailgate, 10 speed/LM2 and many others are not available on 3VL version but are still available on the SB2 version) Probably going to build a bunch of the SB2 version for a marketing campaign...

  14. In winter it also takes longer for the transmission to warm, the differential(s) and the transfer case. Once the truck is warmed up, If you drive the epa city loop you will likely get the epa city loop mileage. The odds of anybody's usage being the same as either epa loop are extremely low. But it does give a way that expected mileage of 2 vehicles can be compared. Leave the '25 mile average' screen up for awhile and watch what it does under different driving conditions. Usage (and temps and wind) makes a huge difference. Driving the same stretch of road at different speeds and in different weather conditions will give different results. (yes, I realize that sometimes there is little choice about speed and stops/starts --- but I often I'm running where there is little traffic) And it shows that while mileage comparisons between owners might be a little entertaining, it is mostly a waste of time.
  15. The factory 2" lift is on both Trailboss trucks (custom TB and LT TB) and on the Sierra AT4. GM also offers a 2" lift accessory kit which could have been added.
  16. IF you have enabled that feature in 'settings'...
  17. Temps below about -11C when this was going on?
  18. I'd go drive a stock factory lift truck (AT4) for comparison . It might give you an idea which issues are due to the mods.
  19. Should have that button -- and it should fold the mirrors.
  20. The 6 speed in the HD's is not the same one as the one used in 1500's. It's carry forward from the 6.0L days. Imo, it will be fine behind the 6.6 gas.
  21. P204D is an issue with the reductant (DEF) pressure sensor circuit voltage out of range on high side.
  22. It's never 'free'. They are in the purchase price. I like to change mine too, but I'll let the dealer do the ones I already paid for with the truck. Filter failures are rare, but they do happen. When one is gonna fail, it doesn't care where the change was done.
  23. The 1, 2 and 3 are references to trim levels. Note 1 is for base sierra Note 2 is for SLE and Elevation Note 3 is for SLT 6.2 is not available on Base, SLE or Elevation, so that's why note 3 is the only one that mentions the 6.2 On silverado the notes are for Z71 instead of X31: NQH Transfer case, two-speed, electronic Autotrac with push button control (4WD models only) 1 - Included and only available with (Z71) Z71 Off-Road Package. Free flow requires Regular Cab model. 2 - Included and only available with (Z71) Z71 Off-Road Package. 3 - Included and only available with (Z71) Z71 Off-Road Package or (L87) 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine. Note 1 is WT Note 2 is LT Note 3 is RST and LTZ NQH is not available on Custom It is standard on Custom TB, LT TB and HC 6.2 not available on WT or LT, so not mentioned in the note. Max tow (NHT) has many notes / restrictions. Seems like generally it's not available with Z71 or X31 (I won't guarantee I didn't miss an exceptions) NHT is also not available on the lifted trucks (both TB's and the AT4) and not available on Elevation or Denali (it is available on HC as long as it doesn't have Z71) and not available with 22's.
  24. May help with parts search? For 2021 model KA6 Seats, heated second row outboard seats Standard on crew LTZ, HC, AT4 and Denali Available on SLT
  25. That's the number listed in the owners manual
