  1. I thought you could connect the dots. I try to spell it out slowly. On second thought I’m not going to waste my time. How Is. That?
  2. Compliance? What are you smoking? So you think the underground enrichment facility was built since 2018 and producing weapons grade uranium? Keep on smoking.
  3. That person said yes. I can research any model from any manufacturer. They all have model years that have flaws or failures. Some extend warranties. Some try to ignore hope people would grow tired and move on. The choices are buy new extend the warranty. Research 5 year old vehicles see who has the least complaints. I’ve done both. I had one failure warranty covered it.
  4. It’s wound be easy to end with complete destruction. A pause is to save lives. And to convince people who look for anything negative. That everything was tried. Of course we can continue to do it the old way and take our chances that they wouldn’t completely destroy the world because we aren’t fit to live according to their teachings. I choose patience pay a little more for gas. And then send them back to the Stone Age. Because that’s they want to do to us. Just in case you haven’t been listening.
  5. 200$ on the horizon? Sorry I’m an optimist.
  6. My brother hosted a graduation party for his granddaughter. He has a nice pool setup in his backyard. As usual we got around to our daily driver’s. Up until five years ago they were chasing me. Bench racing of course. In our younger days we did go to a track locally. My wife was close by with a big smile on her face because of the familiarity of it all. The old days it was my father and uncle’s. Same topic different generation. After retirement I changed hobbies. Playing cards at the casino is much cheaper. The biggest difference instead of building they’re buying. My brother drives an F-150 super snake and his son a raptor r. The shop Forman had a TRX. He recently smoked them with a regular cab f-150 they called a sleeper truck. Evidently it’s a thing and dealer backed with warranty. A regular ford with several supercharger packages to choose from. Complete packages starting in the low 50k. Both my brother and nephew said they should have went that route since the wow factor had since past . Looking at me with that we finally best you look. And saying how about that minivan Stan. My wife had the look of OH No not again. Knowing we’re going home in a ridgeline. I said well times have changed. Where can you use that power? Does it feel any different at 70 MPH? I did research a bit come Monday into those sleeper trucks. It didn’t conjure up the same excitement. At least at this time.
  7. I was just passing on information from a supposedly knowledgeable source. If I was still buying every two- three years for work. I would probably buy one as long as I could cover it with warranty. I always had spares just in case.
  8. I have 3 different brands with Automatic climate control. They work. I find myself making very few adjustments. Even my old Avalanche works well as long as the Freon is right. As hot as it gets here it adjust high automatically turns on max air. And adjust down when temperature settings are reached. Some vehicles don’t have dials anymore. Looking over going a mile a minute to make adjustments could be hazardous to your health. Especially when you’re paying attention to your phone at the same time. I don’t like it when I’m dodging people heading to my lane who can’t multitask. Long live climate control.
  9. I have enough battery powered yard tools that I would wear out before I run out of batteries. Now when I worked doing ROWs we used nothing but gas powered trimmers and chainsaws. I got tired of hearing the noise. My tractors were noisy even though they had cabs. My trucks had loud exhaust. I wanted to hear stuff work. High powered custom stereos, nothing but noise. Suddenly when I hit 60 I had enough. No loud mufflers, no noisy yard equipment. It’s amazing listening to music that isn’t loud with ears that aren’t beat to death from noise. My trip vehicles have sound deadening my life is serine. It’s amazing how you can go from one extreme to another.
  10. I just paid 7.80 for Max life at Walmart.
  11. 3.67 Murphy @ Walmart in Montgomery Tx
  12. You use to be able to drop a gear to lock it out. People used to do that until they were on the interstate. Some never would up shift. I used a tuner.
  13. I’ve only recently 10 years have tried to get the most use out of a vehicle. My wife on the other hand has always done that. I’m a vehicle addict. Never satisfied until recently. A minivan a midsize truck seems to be the ticket. Replacing those only with another only when the others die. It helps that my wife has a sports sedan and a sports car. There’s no reason to change. I still look every day. A good buy who knows.
  14. Some people stay in California until retirement. Sell their house move to Texas. They buy a new house for half the money and live off the rest. Interesting what you learned on your daily walks.
  15. My mower is the only yard, garden appliance I don’t have a battery powered replacement. I spent a lifetime listening to 2stroke powered yard equipment. It is rather annoying. I almost bought one when Home Depot had them on sale. Instead I bought a cub cadet. I wear earphones anyway.
  16. Funny you look at Texas as a down grade. My business afforded me travel all over the U.S. mostly training operators after purchasing our equipment. I owned property in NJ, Texas and South Carolina. Rented in Ohio, Oklahoma, California and Kansas. I left no stone unturned. Lived in a camper in some others. I’m where I want to be.
  17. Yea, I agree those Iran tweets are really inflammatory. Some people never learn.
  18. Twelve years ago my daughter had divorce number two. She moved in with us for awhile shortly moving to an apartment with three bedrooms. When the lease was coming to an end she asked our advice in a home purchase. Using her lease payment as a guide we found a two story home being built outside of town with growing population. We had them finish the garage. She bought the house right at lease payments including taxes and insurance. The area has exploded giving her tremendous equity already. She’s almost fifty making life retirement decisions in play. Two of her kids are in their mid twenties the third is turning fourteen. If she doesn’t find a new mate in five years I’m going to offer her a job in assisting us in our older age something she has mentioned in the past. Her kids will be grown she can downsize or move in with us with a giant nest egg. My other two are very well off and happily married. My daughter will not only help us but improve her inheritance keeping us out of assisted living as long as possible. Those places are expensive. If she does find a new mate. That of course is preferable. We have additional plans as needed.
  19. I was listening to the CarPro radio show Saturday while walking. The caller asked about a new Suburban with the 6.2. He answered the whole 6.2 thing was a little over blown considering the amount produced. Yes it’s high but not wide spread. He’s confident the new ones are fine. I have two V-6 Honda’s currently with high mileage. One is known as an oil user and had an extended warranty sent out to owners. The other is considered bulletproof up to 300k miles and beyond. The (bad) one doesn’t use a drop. The (good) one uses a qt every 4K miles. Not a problem. Just shows luck of the draw comes into play.
  20. I always thought life lessons were best given from people who had a life. My grandson is always trying to give us life lessons. He gets his experience from the internet. I laugh and say my lessons came from my elders and experience. The well off ones. At 25 he lives in his mother’s converted garage. At his age I was married had a kid and my first new home.
  21. I call it life lessons. Or you could just go to Starbucks and buy 5$ coffee and wonder why you can’t save money. I mean this generally. If I wanted to pick on anyone it would be Atlas. You know the guy who tells me my life sucks in Texas. While he pays close to twice as much for gas. Probably twice the taxes and all the rich people are leaving and becoming my neighbors. I meet them on my walks almost daily. My wife runs into them at the pool. But let’s tell him it sucks here.
  22. 3.72 Kroger’s in Montgomery Tx.
  23. Your disrespect makes you a little man. We’re in the top three for growth. You live a beautiful area. Maybe you’ll change your voting habits before all your businesses are gone. It’s utopia here except for two months of oppressive heat. In retirement it’s very easy to work around the heat. Remote start, climate control garage and an emergency generator. All easily affordable with all the money saved with low taxes and low cost of living. All you bluebirds can continue to vote in the destruction of your state. All I ask is don’t move here and ruin our wonderful utopia. Unless you finally wise up.
  24. Hyundai Genesis 3.8 sport sedan. Wife’s daily with 154K miles. Bought as a CPO with 1K miles on it. It finally lost its second battery after 11 years of in town driving. I had the dealer replace the original with original equipment with battery number two. It’s in the trunk with a vent. This time Auto Zone had one. Easiest battery I ever replaced. Auto zone wouldn’t do it because it was in the trunk. it was 100$ less than the dealer battery 11 years later. It was Auto Zones best.
