  1. Thirty five years ago I was counter guy at NAPA, they had flyer for people to sign to keep the auto makers from making where you could only buy parts or get work done at the dealer. Looks like were close. At lease if you want to keep your warranty. A hand held tuner will not hurt anything. I had truck with 200,000 miles on with tunes. That's the way it goes I guess.
  2. Warm up times cost me about 2 miles a gallon city. Its warmer now Im at 18 city.
  3. Remove the muffler add a pipe, sounds good not to loud quiet at cruise. I left everything else you can always do more later. I even left the flapper for now. Cost less than a tank of gas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Depends on the dealer and relationship with the dealer. If you buy all your cars and trucks at one dealer he may work with you. I had a trailblazer ss that I tuned all the TM out of the trans. When tranny went south, they reminded me to pull my tune out before I brought it in. I even supplied then with the (stock) converter to put in
  5. I just removed the muffler add a little more sound, left all the rest. May do last muffler later. Still quiet at cruise speeds. Looks like the cats take care of most of the sound anyway. Save your money spend it on a tune or headers. I also put the tailpipe out the back with a nice polished tip. Grand total 150 dollars. Check local laws before you mess with cats, some states have big fines.
  6. Christine lives!
  7. Im going by my on star app. Conroe Texas 30-60 temps,12 miles to my shop 60 mph for 5 miles, 45 to 35 then 60 for 5 miles. Hammer down when I can. I have seen 19 mph but then it gets cold for south Texas I let it warm up, it goes to 17 and change. Mix of 87 to 92 fuel 10% blend. I expect better in the summer months full synthetics first oil change. I run M5 till 45 mph then M6 Trans seems to like that the best no jerking.
  8. 1414 miles on truck only 100 miles hwy, total rest in town. 17 miles per gallon, 16 lifetime per on star app. Lots of warm up time, 10 to 20 minutes depending on temp. Semi lead foot.
  9. I can't see how that caused it, any car with a stick would be hard on the timing chain. But that the reason they gave him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. It's almost out of warranty, any that keeps it going on all 8. Some dealers don't care if you have a tune. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I bought the one from the dealer says GMC on it tri fold hard with vinyl cover. No leaks, works good. He said it was the best made. He said it must be true, like the internet. 800 dollars, lifetime installed
  12. I got one for you, my sister in law was driving her Hemi car thru Dallas and it quit. They haul it to the dealer, timing chain at 40,000 miles. They told my brother to put a tune in so it wouldnt go to v4 that's why the chain broke. He told to put that in writing. See where that goes. The are fixing it under warranty.
  13. Im surprised how long it stays in at slow speeds foot off gas. Then it feels like a downshift then the trans downshifts, sometimes jerky. I just put it m5 in town smooth as glass no change in fuel mileage. After 45mph I go to m6 or drive. I wonder if the mile or two per gallon you get with it is worth some of the oil problems some people have had with it. I get no change in town.
  14. I have 1k on her Ipone onstar app says 19 average 12 miles each way mix, med lead foot. No interstate yet
