    After the 4.6 and the 5.4 spark plug problem and the head gasket problem and the back window pop out problem I pass when ford does a new engine or model. I was lucky enough to miss the 6.0 diesel. I now visit the forums before I buy. Hell there was even a vid on this site on a EB trying to accelerate. Like I stated I own some Ford diesels and like them. By the way that not a Ford in your Sig. Check out the thread on this site about would you buy a GM truck again, the yes are way ahead.

    All brands seem to be having recalls, people are getting use to it.

    Pal? Im stating what I read, heard and witness, Im not downing the brand I own a 13 F550 6.7 for a service truck. Anything over 1/2 ton Im a Ford guy, under Im GM. So as far as the early EB falling on its face its been documented.

    I was making reference to the early problems they were having with the EB with power loss. In my field I have lots of costumers who rack up the miles in there trucks, when something new comes along they buy it. Some of them went back to V8 ford or GM, Im not hearing the problems now with their trucks like Im reading here, these are people with higher average miles who pretty much work their trucks off road.

    Yea until he goes to pass on a two lane and says uh oh no boost. Ill put up with a little V4 shake knowing the power will be there when needed. I also found a little less tire pressure goes a long way.

    Not really, one 3or31/2 inch is enough, so the other pipe is for the pleasure of the owner. Enough flow has already been reach. When I need more flow I just run them down one side.

    Duals been around since the flat heads, ever look at the back of your Vette? I bet there are 4 sticking out back on that. Twice pipes are more common now than ever, which is fine by me.

    Its been a few years since I messed with a can tune but I had a problem once where you could raise the shift point higher than you could raise the rev limiter, that would make a pop till I lowered the shift point a little.

    I bought it with the truck, it is a hard tri fold with a soft cover over it. No leaks, what I like about it was it says GMC in the corner and warranty.

    I ended up buy mine at the dealer, couldn't beat the price or the warranty and it says GMC on it.

    I was wondering how many people change the stance of their truck, I was getting ready to drop the back and didn't after reading the vibration post. My truck has no vibrations. It didn't come with Good Year tires. I did a muffler delete and notice a little vibration at low speeds in V4, I just keep it out of V4 till after 60 MPH and fix that.

    My Barber drives a new truck, and is putting his kid thru collage. He charges 16 dollars for a reg. haircut I give him 20. Ive seen him do 3 an hour, while yapping like crazy, not such a bad profession.

    Back in the day buying old stuff was a no brainer, they were easy to work on. I took the heads off a car when I was seventeen, good old small block. Takes a lot more know how these days.

    Ive had both the problem I had with roll lock, when its hot sometimes you have to pull back on it to get it to unlock and you burn the hell out of you fingers. The flip one you open the tailgate to unlock no burnt fingers.

    Ok Steve, you may have been down this road before. Try Donaldson on the web, they have all kinds of tubing and rubber elbows for remote filter installation. I haven't had the time to do the research, figured it would be up your alley.

    Most of the time I have the radio crank pretty good so if the truck is rattling or making any noises I wouldn't notice. Now smells I would notice, there is nothing any different with this than any other ride Ive had. GM has made these trucks pretty quite so I can imagine hearing little sounds is to be expected. The roads we drive on aren't perfect, a lot to ask at the speeds we travel.

    My only hope is that if anyone manages to get their truck cabin completely sealed, they and their passengers are on a back road somewhere and simply run off into a field when they all pass out. The only smell I get in my truck is the duck dynasty air freshener swinging from my mirror. I drive in Houston all the time.

    I have seen and had my share of problems with 1/2 ton fords. They all have them. My GMs had all ways got me home, cant say that with the early plug spitting 4.6 or 5.4. I think I would wait to see how those new bodies work out on the new fords. Ecoboost had problems with power loss.

    I wouldn't take it personal, some people are direct and to the point and mean no harm. I bet if you took a poll most people that use that device would say it feels like more power. Heck people that do a tune in most cases gain 20 to 30 HP, but they change the driving feel, so it feels like more. You can get the same HP out of e85. I say my truck is a different truck in m5 and m6, other people would say Im nuts, so who is? Since I change my exhaust my truck vibrates in V4 under 60 so I don't go in 6 till after, no problem.

    I would always used can tunes before, one of the reasons I joined this forum was to find out more about tuners and pros and cons of each. Haven't read about anyone blowing their sh er stuff up yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
