  1. Basic: Collects oil mist and blow by. All you need to know: http://oilcatchcan.com/
  2. That is true, but it is only one kit (length) with additional steps for the double cab, Cut the boards to length. (at least it was at my time of purchase). That's all I was getting at. It's really just a crew cab package that you have to modify. If AMP had a RC model, it would be "just cut more off to fit". Sucks for RC owners though. Hopefully they would discount the price knowing half of the board would be trash or just cut it in the factory and ship correct sized boards. On a completely unrelated side note... Your truck name "ruby" I just saw, has me youtubing the Kaiser Chiefs' Ruby...
  3. Technically, they don't make them for a double cab either... You, the installer, have to cut the boards to the appropriate length. Cutting that much off for the RC though is a lot more, but the same thing you have to do for the DC, cutting. But there are still a lot of great options out there though.
  4. Agree on that. Was just trying to figure out his setup. But it seems 2-2.5 in front is what is required. YMMV of course.
  5. was it 2.5 up front and replace the rear block with a 2" block? Therefore 2.5 upfront and 1" in rear?
  6. Looks good. Not too much chrome, but just enough for some contrast.
  7. Although, even when the boards are retracted, they still provide some protection of the rocker panels, from the bottom anyway. As much as a steel tube? don't know, but the internal baffle design in the aluminum steps is definitely strong. But yes, 1 more electrical thing to worry over, but so far AMP has had amazing customer service and I wouldn't hesitate to think they wouldn't replace anything if it went out. It's all personal preference though.

  9. It depends on**: Tire selection - measurements vary ever so slightly depending on who makes the tire, tread design and more. If you go on a tires website and look at specs, it will give you the specific measurements. Wheel Offset - the closer to 0 offset and into the negative numbers, the less tire you will be able to run for a given level. **If I'm off on my info... please correct me. I know that's not the best answer, but hopefully gives some insight. Best bet is to find a setup you like and find someone that has that setup. Or find a nice shop that is willing to order a couple different sizes to actually try them on and test them on your truck.
  10. I guess you'd have to crawl under there and look at the mount points. Or take some pics and put them up. As for the leaving them long idea, I'm not sure if there is clearance under that portion of the bed or if they line up. I have seen RC with amp steps on other forums. All depends on possible mount locations underneath I guess.
  11. They only make one size now. For the Double Cab you have to cut them to size, so for the RC, just trim more. Or leave them longer to act as a bed side step.
  12. I was debating those tires too with a 2.25 level and a 1.5 body lift. Talking to some people with the combo lifts, I still think some rubbing will occur.
  13. The black chrome one's in 20: http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/Wheels-for-GMC/20-Fits-GMC-Sierra-1500-Wheel-PVD-Black-Chrome-20x9-SET#.VBolxJRdV8E 22's: http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/Wheels-for-GMC/22-Fits-Chevrolet-Sierra-1500-Wheels-PVD-Black-Chrome-22x9-SET#.VBol15RdV8E Doesn't look any cheaper on ebay.
  14. Excellent. Thank you.
  15. Is this one of those new fancy photo filters?!? or just trying to oversize the photos... With the level and body lift, do you have or can get pictures showing clearance at closest impact points? Really want to run this setup with larger tires. Close to 35's. Thanks.
  16. Looks good, but more fitting on the Silverado.
  17. Did you have Nav before or is this the add-a-nav module as well.
  18. Looks great. What's the stats on the setup? Wheel size, offset and tire size?
  19. So those are 34.9" x 12.2" Do they bulge out a little being on a 9" rim? That info should give some more knowledgeable people some idea if they'll fit. I'm pulling for you though as I'd like to run some 35's on your intended setup.
  20. The Peragon seems to be a great deal. I keep eyeing that one now.
  21. 35x12.5x20's(18)? what wheel size and offset? What tire specifically as 35's can be 34.5 and up. I'm mostly curious myself as I plan on the 2.5 RC and 1.5 body lift. But this info will be needed for determination.
  22. For the Nitto Terra's the weights are around 60 lbs for 275/65/20 and 68 lbs for 295/60/20 (I think. they removed weights from their site) For the Toyo AT II's the weights are around 57 lbs for 275/65/20 and 62 lbs for 295/60/20 The Toyos seem to be a bit lighter, if the weights for the Nittos are correct. I found those on a random site. Haven't heard anything bad about either tire so really it comes down to looks and road noise if that's an issue. From reading, I think the Terra might be quieter, not that the Toyos are loud. There are lots of reviews going around though.
  23. make one ... The solution you have though works too. and cheaper if you don't have a plasma cutter.
  24. Looks great knowing what went into it. It will be very sound for many years to come. Sorry if I missed it, but why is the trailer wire hookup under bumper? Just easier than drilling a mount in bumper?
