    The step placement is perfect for me. Additionally, due to the way the mounting brackets interface with the step bars themselves, you can actually slide the bars forward/aft within roughly a 6-8 inch window. I know that sounds strange but as engineered, the brackets are not fixed or welded to the bars. Rather, the rear of the bars are almost like tracks which slide along the faces of the mounting brackets. When you get the spacing the way you want it, you just crank down the bolts and you're done.

    Here are the Iron Crose HD's fellas: Steps are sturdy and really sharp looking with powder coated hammer finish. Better than any GM offering in that these are not SOOO LOW as to sacrifice too much stock ground clearance. Installation was difficult alone but not impossible. 13mm wrench is all you need. HD in name more than reality.

    Well here she is. The rig is a 6.2 SLT AT. Mods at this point are slight: valance delete; GM Bed mat; GMC wheel locks; GMC Hood protector (tall profile); driver' assist handle; dash topper; WeatherTechs all around. My Snugtop XV Outdoorsman and BedRug will be here in 2-3 weeks.

    Interesting, the RPO codes for the L86 6.2 engine clearly read that, among other things, the engine is "E85 Max". This coding is the same as what is referenced for the L83 5.3 and the 6 cyl engine. Those codes also state that, among other things, the engines are "E85 Max". The inclusion of the "E85 Max" information for the 6.2 is at variance to everything else which is published about the 6.2. Anyone have insight as to why?

    Wow, cool info. Just joined this forum this morning in advance of my delivery of my custom built to order 2014 Sierra All Terrain 6.2. Will certainly do this on day one until my aftermarket solution is in place.
