  1. Iridium Metallic and Fuel anthracite. Not sure which fuel rim though. Looks pretty good. That said the method machined face NV is starting to seriously grow on me. I need some place to go try on wheels. Two at a time. One NV machined face on the passenger side and one black on the other side so i can make up my damn mind.
  2. 285/55/20 is 33x11.5x20 mickey thompson ATZ P3s come in this size and can be found for around 250$ a tire. I'm thinking of running a set until i can get my rims. Nitto Also makes Trail grapplers in that size.
  3. Idk about throttle response, maybe tiny bit. 5-10whp wouldn't be noticeable i don't think. The growl is basically what i got it for that and MPG. Though lately i haven't been able to keep my foot out of it. I should've rev'd harder a couple times so you all could hear it. That and really stomp it in the cab. I passed someone going 80 the other day on the highway and it was much louder than the video.
  4. I gotcha i'll have to get some and go from there or see if this guy can install them in the morning. If not i'll go get screws, take out the headlights and do it neatly. Might as well install the fogs from there as well. Could you send me pictures of your setup anyway? From when you ran your HIDs?
  5. I never got it hung, couldn't find a place to hang it. My cousin's DDM kit came with self tapping screws he said. Was the Morimoto kit supposed to come with any mounting hardware?
  6. I'm trying to figure out where to plug everything up before i even drill the end cap to make my hole for the wires running to the bulbs. I haven't found a place to hang the relay yet. Getting irritated because i'm rushed, i have to go back to starkville tomorrow. Where do i plug the oem input from the harness? I have no idea where that goes. I guess i've got to find a place to hang it first. I'm thinking of taking it to someone but idk anyone to take it to. Idk anyone that would know how to do this and drill out the holes and such.
  7. I see. I might do that as well just depends on how hard that piece between the grille and the bumper is to remove. What did everyone use for sealant? Silicon? Butyl tape? Just the rubber grommet?
  8. Is there any particular way the bulbs are supposed to pointed filament wise? Up, down, inward towards the engine bay, outward? Also did you all remove the headlights to install or just work through the engine bay.
  9. Starting to think these rims will match Iridium Metallic. Depending on what kind of light your in, they look anywhere from black to sterling gray/anthracite.
  10. 17s on 35s. 4.5" spindle lift IIRC. I'll have to dig up the link to the specs on that truck.
  11. Thanks! I should've held off on the airaid seeing as how I have to take the damn thing off to put my HIDs in. Hopefully installing the fog lights won't be as much trouble. Soon as I find a drill bit and some 3M tape I'm going to go at it.
  12. Going to have mine switched when i get my oil changed tomorrow.
  13. I think so as well, though i just would rather have this design. Unfortunately method doesn't have an anthracite coating yet. Though their matte black looks grey depending on the lighting. I'll think i'll be fine with black though might have them powder coated anthracite. I feel like anthracite or a darker shaded silver that doesn't have such a metallic sheen to it like the stock chrome wheels goes well with Iridium.
  14. Damn I wish that was my case. Kinda want to tear a boot off to see what the shock looks like. You look at fox or icons read shocks and its clearly supposed to go one way
  15. Yup mine are boot up as well. Might have to change them. Though I've been running them like this for some time. How would it not matter though?
  16. Yeah there is no alignment regarding the rears just unbolt them and switch them around right? I wanna say they installed mine boot up.
  17. Need a tune bud to take advantage of that CAI and Exhaust! Also rid of the horrid throttle response on these trucks.
  18. Airaid installed. Definitely a more throaty sound when you stomp on it, so much that some of that sound resonates in the cab. Might be hard to hear in the video but it's a little louder than stock, more of a growl to it. Can't say i can feel any throttle response. Which i wouldn't think that 5-10whp would do anyway. Soon as i can find a drill i'll tackle the HIDs. It's the MIT with the stock airbox and filter. Doesn't seem as loud as a CAI but i think a new filter would likely be a remedy to some of that I'll post mpg results when I head back to Starkville. And over time. Right now out of the last 1000 I avged 16.2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clYwVrzAQMI
  19. Damn that is irritating. I wonder if i caused it. I guess i'm going to run it and go ahead and have a replacement.
  20. So checked the bulbs out last night figured I was gonna put them in today but a couple of friends want to hit the casino so I'm going to try tomorrow. Looking at one of the bulbs the protective coating around the filament on the outside is cracked. Does this serve any other purpose besides protection? Do I need to get another bulb.
  21. Did you use bilsteins plus spacers or the bilsteins at the highest setting? Also how do those new UCAs feel?
  22. When did I say or imply the 5.3 is not a good platform? Was in no way saying there is anything wrong with it. It's what I drive lol. I was just posting those videos because they're awesome. My statement of people asking me why I want more power out of my truck was merely a comical response to those car enthusiast friends of mine that ask "why do you need or want over 400hp in a truck?" But yeah those are some expensive upgrades. Before I get another truck I plan on a supercharger and long travel suspension kit for this truck in its lifetime. That much power with the stock tranny is certainly a concern. Planning ahead for a new one that could handle it would probably add another 7-10k to an already 10k worth of upgrades. Livernois did some impressive work on that truck indeed.
  23. Bubba I'd go black method NV or method mesh. I love a red black themed truck. I'm going with method mesh myself methods white chrome or chrome rims are very bright also. Which I don't care for. I asked them if they had any plans for anthracite rims at the moment they don't.
  24. Airaid MIT on the way, the 20% off at auto anything didn't apply for the Jr. or any intakes for that matter. So I figured i'll pick a nice high flow filter down the road. Considering BB's test results showed the MIT with stock filter/airbox alone gaining as much as the Volant system no worries. Free shipping is nice Will have to wait until i can get my leave hours for the D2s, still going to work on installing the Morimotos this weekend and the MIT.
