  1. Are. Leer, snugtop, are the best in they are in the 2002 $3,000 range new you can check a dealer that might have some that he's traded in when he sells his new ones. I will keep my eye open in the Kansas City area for you just in case but you're better off just buying a new one and getting exactly what you want if the money isn't a real big deal but like it said your going going to save a couple hundred bucks if you have to do all this extra stuff to it. And all of the terminology you were using is correct. If you can zoom in on my truck on my profile that a a ARE top I bounced back and forth between a.r.e and Lear. I personally like the smooth look on the sides. I had one repainted years ago for about $500 and it was a lousy job and I ended up getting a new one five months later anyway. If the body shop doesn't use the right preparation and right paint it will crack and come off. Good luck and I'll look around some of our listings. Also check Facebook Marketplace I heard is taking over a lot of Craigslist stuff
  2. I still have eight tracks in my old Lincoln's. I love the old-school nasty sound and The Click Click between song wakes you up when you're driving :-). You can tell I am not very fussy audio file type of person so I am easy to please
  3. Make sure that you look at the numbers on the side of the windshield it's about 6 in down I believe that is a legal limit as to how far something can be in the windshield space I had a friend pulled over because he had a stick on dash cam with a suction cup in a rental car and he got a ticket for obstructing his view apparently there's numbers or some type of line in the visor height of the windshield make sure you stay above that.
  4. I was just rereading some of this and I was going to suggest that as well yes what the hell call 911 that's what they're there for. If you're not injured maybe your feelings are hurt because your brand new truck just got smashed by a responsible driver :-) I would always go for making sure that I got a police report on site regardless of how bad or not bad the accident is. None of this was this posters fault and he's going to suffer the consequences of all this bullshit including diminished value of his truck it's going to be posted and listed as being in an accident comes right off the top as far as point on Carfax or any of the other reporting agencies and it's really sick that people just want to diminish what their responsibilities are IE nine-one-one in this case. Thank God this poster had a dash cam to prove what happened if he didn't it might be on his shoulders. I suggest everybody get a dash cam not only Mount 1 to the front of the vehicle but Mount one on the back of the vehicle to see these incoming drivers on your rear end. All my work trucks have cameras all around because of this situation. Just my two cents, yes I'll give you a penny back God you guys drive a hard bargain
  5. I can argue lots of points and with your video I can't see how anyone could argue that the other driver was not at fault. Obviously she was either going to rear end the other vehicle or cut in front of you she had no other choices because she was not paying attention. Interesting though at the last second she put a turn signal on or it appears to be on. But you don't put your turn signal on when you're already in the other lane.
  6. Due to the amount of damage it looks like you are probably going to have to initiated claim with your insurance company for them to pursue her. I hope you got her contact information plate number Etc your footage on your dash cam is very important make sure you save that and it doesn't Loop over your recording card. Save the video, initiate a claim with your insurance company to get the ball rolling. Amazing that the police wouldn't do a report since the damages in excess of $500 and it wasn't in a parking lot. Good luck with this, sad your truck is brand new.
  7. Bolt it down real well.
  8. I have a 2015 GMC Sierra Denali with the cocoa Dune interior. I am looking to replace my microphone that's above the visor on the driver side. It looks as if I pull the headliner down and just replace one section of the microphone where there is a clip to a harness. Problem is I can't find a microphone let alone the same interior color. Does anybody have a part number for this cocodune microphone, wow that rhymed. Anyway I appreciate any and all help thank you very much. I am replacing the microphone because it was damaged by a leaking shark fin antenna. I believe the antenna is fixed however the microphone must have got corroded. Just some additional input maybe it'll help someone else downline. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  9. Don't our trucks have Bose in them? I'm not a audio file so I'm not really up on this type of stuff. But my sound system sounds great if that's what's in it Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  10. Well, at least we've got the volume control on the steering wheel are hardly ever use the knob on the dash itself, keep in mind it's made in China Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  11. Well in my book that's already a big negative Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  12. Im wondering if the bose sound quality is compromised... it would be good to read up on this before you install it or buy one. Look for the reviews I seldomly get anything under 4 and 1/2 Stars. How long it's been out? What the upgrade policies are? And Company service support?

  14. I wonder if you could remove the badge and then epoxy it with body filler fiberglass or something and just round it over with no grooves engine sizes or anything and then painted body color after you prep it, you would still have the badge but it would just be a blank piece. After re-reading this it sounds ghetto but a body shop guy could probably do a good job to make it your own badge since it needs to fit in a Groove in the fender wall. Just an idea, probably a bad one at that, maybe somebody else can expound on this with better detail and knowledge
  15. I had 45,000 miles on them, however I noticed something thousands of miles ago where I was just getting his extra clanking noise up front try to research it and everybody said the crossmember at the calipers check all this as soon as the shocks were replaced no more noise, I believe I had two blown out shocks for about 30,000 miles these Rancho things are garbage. When I was reading my window sticker on my truck they made it sound like the Ranchos were such a wonderful thing that they were doing for us LOL, I am running a 3/4 ton however so I know I'm going to have a much rougher ride but these bilstein's make the ride really really good even for a 3/4 ton truck. So replacing them was probably the best thing I could have done and should have done many thousands of miles ago but I only learned about the shocks on this site
  16. When I replace my Ranchos I was able to compress two of the shocks with one hand on and they wouldn't even rebound one of them is still compressed in a box for trash and it still has never rebounded yet. So you can imagine the difference in my ride quality with new bilstein's
  17. One part of the ad says 294 when you click on it it says 304.

  19. I just saw the Bilstein 5100 set of 4 for $294 free shipping on Amazon oh, FYI all you guys
  20. They look good, live with it :-)
  21. So this modification could be ultra-expensive. It would be interesting to see what the costs are for all of the components and what it would take for labor to tear your dash apart and then rebuild it seems like a lot of work for not much additional if any information
  22. Was there any special template for drilling , or any special wiring needed?
  23. For this mod. The windshield needs to be replaced??? What if there is the red flashing hud warning light? Does that mean you have the right windshield?
  24. My 2015 GMC HD had a similar situation with the same message popping up. I found mine to be to be the control module that is back by the gas tank for the trailer / trailer brakes. Also you may want to check your wiring harness plug male plug on your trailer if it has a clamp on it with a 7 pin connector there might be something corroded or loose in there, I found this to be one of my problems as well. There is a very descriptive YouTube video on how to find and replace the trailer brake connection module. The unit itself on eBay was 20 something dollars
