  1. I was thinking the task was more like a PITA.
  2. Did they check the fluid in the T Case to see what it looked like? Any metal shavings (excessive) present? Does the 4WD system work/engage?
  3. You are very welcome.
  4. Welcome. Toy hauler, or work trailer? Set up looks good either way!
  5. Stop in, say you forgot something in the center console, and need to get in the truck. Just so you know what is going on, could be good, maybe bad, saw way too many parts on the ground when I saw my 16 with the engine coming out.
  6. Let's get this post going. Info about the truck, is it a crew, double, or single cab? No transfer case in 2WD, so you can cross that off of your list. Have you checked to make sure your leaf springs and shocks are tight, no loose bolts?
  7. Good luck. https://youtu.be/gAN84LZJjoQ
  8. Welcome to the site. How about some info on your truck, GMC, or Chevy, trim level and any other info you can think of, otherwise you just will get random guesses, and not so nice comments.
  9. Yes and yes, had it on all 3 of my K2's, nice surprise when you find it, WTH.
  10. Congratulations, that is a great looking truck!
  11. Welcome to the site. First, how about some info on the truck, miles, are you the original owner, mods done to the truck, maintenance done, and anything else you can share helps get better answers/guesses.
  12. PM GTPprix, he is a vendor on the site that can help you with that mod.
  13. I think the battery, and the electrical system are set to be a perfect match for amount of power and functions. In the old days, mods, stereos and lights, rule of thumb was a bigger battery, or alternator, but now I think the computers get fooled and put excess stress on components, basically burning them up from the inside.
  14. Ooooh, why didn't I think of that, sounds pretty simple to fix? Glad to hear your truck is good again, makes life a lot easier.
  15. You answered your own question, it did not leave the factory with the wrong wheels. Happens more than you would think, most do not pay attention. How are they going to comp you for catching them in a lie.
  16. Good to know, wonder if this will be another addition to the electrical problems for others? Did they happen to mention what the problem with the alternator was?
  17. If you have the correct size phone, and a good wireless charger case, the trucks are pretty quick. Plus the added bonus of "flinging" your phone into the back seat each time you forget it is there and open the console lid?
  18. And congratulations on your new to you truck!
  19. If it is the original, would suggest replacing it, when they start to fail, you will get all kinds of weird things happening, then it just won't start without warning.
  20. Next questions, how old is your battery, how long has it been doing this, and lastly, have you tried to disconnect your battery, 30 minutes or so, and hooked it back up? Electrical problems usually lead to not enough clean power, whether it is a ground, battery, or component problem with the new trucks.
  21. Welcome to the site. Does it do the same thing when you have the system set to Auto mode?
  22. That's a good looking truck! Any vibrations? TC could be going bad, the engine revs fluctuating (flares), usually are tied to the transmission. Maybe a lifter failing? Any CEL's present?
