    If you took the time to make this post, it bothers you, so I suggest you get it fixed, how you feel would be the best way. You can justify the cost of being a lot less than a new truck, and you take a lot of pride in what you have. plus it will make you a lot more happy driver knowing it is gone.

    And at this point, the truck is owned by the bank (or the OP) , not the dealership, salesperson, or GM.

    Would be pretty cool if you could use the excuse, "these tools are needed to own this truck" and get away with it before the wife found out the cost, but then again, could I find the time and parts to fix it myself anyway? The big question is, if cars are driving themselves, will there be crashes, and will traffic flow without congestion? Can a car be distracted while driving? I mean if a girl Ferrari rolls by a boy Corvette, is he going to look away or crash in into the Prius in front of him?

    Kind of sounds like the 16 I had when it broke a push rod, no power, ran like crap (of course), and shook violently. At this point, get it as soon as you can.

    Yea, rolling computers, that is why most of us take them to the dealerships, so many things could be wrong at any given time, and we do not have the tools or knowledge to fix them anymore.

    Yikes, welcome to the site. I know this is the Captain Obvious response, but I always drive around the block and pop the hood, even after oil changes. Worked at a dealership for a while, so I have my suspicions. I would keep an eye on the overflow, you will probably need to add coolant as they only top it off before you drive away. Hopefully there was enough in the block to keep it somewhat cool as it lost everything in the top end of the radiator.

    Did all of the functions still work on the old HVAC control? I thought that when something went out, like a light, or a switch function, they were garbage.

    Welcome to the site. If you still have the original battery. replace it, they do not last very long with the draw that is put on them by the truck.

    What board are they referring too? Should have no issues with factory equipment, but are you still on the original battery?

    I would say it is a bad HVAC control unit, if the buttons are not working at all. Don't think you can replace the bulbs either, been like that for the last few body styles.

    You are very welcome. I was referring to the rear shocks since you said that is where the noise is coming from. Could always take it to a dealer and have them retorque everything to factory specs.

    Have you tried your other fob to see if it works better? Maybe your fob is going bad, things wear out.

    Welcome to the site. How old is the battery in your truck?

    Post from 2015 on the same subject: Low beams are wired direct from bcm. High beam control relay is in the underhood fuse box which are "non-serviceable Printed Circuit Board (PCB) relays and are internal to the block".

    Ask about this TSB, or any others that apply to your truck: TSB ID: PIP5330C.

    You will have codes present, best way is to check them out, takes all of the guessing out of it. Flashing CEL means something was going on that was physical/mechanical in the engine. Like a misfire which triggers it because of how it effects the emissions system.

    Think you may have answered your question. There are certain components in the fuse box that can not be replaced. learned this with my 08 when the 3rd brake stopped working, only way to fix was a new under hood fuse box. Have you check with a dealer for confirmation?
