  1. I ended up replacing the USB port in the center console in my 16. Had all kinds of issues with the factory one, replaced it and no problems in the future.
  2. So, does that mean he drives home naked? Or put the sweaty clothes back on? I think during the summer months I would be OK driving naked with the cooled seats on, winter with the heated function on, maybe.... Know this only applies to seats with the cool/heat function.
  3. Common Area Maintenance works for your wife, very nice. Business write off, correct?
  4. Could be your HMI module failing, it controls a lot of things in the truck.
  5. Welcome to the site. Very common problem in that era, this should give you an idea what is involved to change the bulbs.
  6. I like it, now just have to find a friend with a Trans Am, cowboy hat, and a solo mustache, might be on to something here...
  7. Yea, that would make sense on what you are seeing. They do make an overlay that is held on with 3M tape that covers the whole handle.
  8. Pictures with Phil please.....
  9. You can post negative reviews anytime you like on their website, if they treated you and your truck like this, they do it to everyone. It all finds it way back to GM, who can pull their franchise rights anytime they want.
  10. Something looks strange, what is on the bezel casting the reflection of you taking taking the picture? I have the factory bezel with just the chrome pull handle, and there is no shiny surface that low on it. Maybe that is what you see in your camera image?
  11. Go to Cars.com, do a nationwide search, find the truck, check with the dealer to see if it is still there, and see how to get it home. Have your finances ready to go, if they play games, go the next one. Taking you will have no trade, so it should be pretty simple, warranty work when you get it home will be a different story as most dealers do not like it when you buy out of state and bring it them with problems.
  12. Yes sir, shortly after you discover some hair on your NutS@ck,, you learn to back up a trailer, at least that is how it worked in a small farming community like I grew up in. To this day, I still turn the wheel the wrong way to start backing up, then swear, remember to remove my head from my butt, then get going in the right direction.
  13. Good answer, was thinking maybe body parts from an ex to the swamps to feed the gators.....
  14. Should I even ask what you are hauling in the trailers?
  15. Really don't think there would be that much of a discrepancy, but when I think back to my first car, a 73 Vega that I paid $100.00 for, I will even take the lower number you threw out. It used more oil than gas, maybe averaged 8 MPG, and had suicide doors, not the Lincoln style, just flew open when you went around corners, hence the suicide part, and of course when it rained, you got a free shower. The AM radio picked up zero stations, and the heater worked in the summer, and not at all in the winter. Thinking I like my 100 more each time I get to use it for "truck stuff", or just driving to work each day, Hell, might even ask to be buried in it at the ocean, just drive out on the beach and let mother nature take me home.
  16. Yes sir, that is why I only averaged 21MPG?
  17. Technical Service Bulletin Welcome to the site.
  18. Like this, except closer.
  19. Sorry, how about a shot with the tailgate up, with the lens in the handle. Just wondering if it is flush sitting inside the handle housing.
  20. Yea, have them define truck, it will be classified by weight, 1500 will not apply. They probably jack you on tabs, like Washington, we have different plates than cars and SUV's, but you will still not be considered a commercial vehicle.
  21. Yes it is. Now you are finding out dealerships do not like to try and fix someone else's warranty woes. Hopefully 3rd time is the right shop.
  22. When you say shop, are you talking about dealerships? I would never take it to an independent shop while under warranty.
  23. The garages downtown Seattle always scare the crap out of me when I go into them, your antenna is the first thing you hear scraping. I only go into them if it is absolutely necessary, these trucks are pretty big, and things get tight quickly.
  24. Why is that? Have you made aftermarket changes to the truck? What year and model is it?
  25. Welcome to the site. Not the best circumstances for your first post, but was there any damage to your wheel? If so, wonder if there was any suspension damage done?
