  1. Quick question, who is your insurance company? I paid my $50.00 deductible and had a Fuyao put in my 18. Believe it had a Vitro that had to be replaced because of a crack from a rock. State Farm is my company.
  2. Good reason, always nice when you actually get a win/win with the sell/trade and purchase. Enjoy your new truck!!!
  3. Congratulations on your new truck. Square body was a good looking truck, any reason you did not just keep it?
  4. If you are talking about the yellow sheet, that is a scale ticket. In this case a private entity, but similar as what you would get from a weigh station on the highway. The numbers are showing the weight at different spots on the truck, and a grand total.
  5. Nothing required if they use the correct glass, would ask and make sure it is one of the two (maybe 3) GM authorized companies that they use at the factory.
  6. Which key fob are you using when trying to move things? There should be a #1 and #2.
  7. Just make sure everything is as clean as possible on the truck, no dirt, silicone, anything that might cause a void. Run you finger along the whole edge of the light to make sure there is no warpage, chips, or anything that might let water in. Good luck, water leaks are a PITA.
  8. Just replace the light, your truck is 5 years old and you live in a pretty harsh environment with the huge temperature swings from summer to winter. It would be a lot safer if you have doubts about the existing light, and would give you some peace of mind with winter coming. They are not very expensive and easy to replace.
  9. Maybe, have you had the truck out in the daylight or night time to see if responds to the light source/or lack of?
  10. Maybe your headlight switch has gone bad? One of the plugs did not seat in all the way? I would start with the HL switch, since it seems to control nothing now.
  11. Maybe it did?, do you remember the rest of the test drive?
  12. Truck updates current? Phone as well? Maybe "forget this device" on your phone (if it is an Apple), then turn it off, then back on. You should see see your truck if it works on the phones Bluetooth list. These are just guesses, hopefully one is correct.
  13. Welcome to the site. Have you tried this route? Pairing a Phone 1. Press speak button on the steering wheel, The system responds “Ready,” followed by a tone. 2. Say “Bluetooth.” 3. Say “Pair.” The system responds with instructions and a four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN). The PIN is used in Step 5.
  14. Looks like it happened earlier today since the picture was taken in the daylight. What did your insurance company tell you to do? Do you have all of your copies of the police report?
  15. Yes, they can access the dent from behind the coolant overflow tank from inside the engine compartment. Had dents taken out of both my 14 and 16 the same way from a good PDR company.
  16. Vye, Vye Uncle Rico, you will be missed. Good luck catching on with an NFL team this year, show them the video of you throwing a football over that mountain again.... Buy what makes you happy, your money, your decision.
  17. Welcome to the site. Think you might to try and get your money back, this straight from their site, sure it is the same for the tail lights. 18. Welcome to the site. Lots of money and time, and a really talented shop that cut and reshape your fenders, grill, bumper and so on to accept the new headlights. Then there will be the issue of a new harness and wiring to make them work with your truck. Might be cheaper to retro fit the whole nose onto your truck.
  19. time gizmo, Think you need to use a more laymen's term to describe what you are talking about, that sounds way to technical for most of us....
  20. Question, does your AC still work? I know you have the fan off, but I do not think the system is truly ever off on these trucks. Reason I am asking is, your condenser may have failed on you, very common problem on the early trucks and SUV's.
  21. What was the main failure? We lost the steering rack in our 16 Tahoe just under 60000 miles. Problem is, only a few items are replaceable on the rack, so in most cases the whole unit is replaced at a cost of almost $2000.00.
  22. Lost the steering rack at just under 60000 miles on our 16 Tahoe. It is a more common issue than you would think in the GM trucks.
  23. Can you make a "shim", and stick it in along with the plug to firm it up?
  24. The traditional Chevy lean is on the drivers side, yours does look like it is on the passengers side, you may have more problems than you think. Did you buy it new, if not, any known wrecks the truck could have been in?
  25. Well, upbringing, for one thing, and not being able to read through the lines and guess the exact problem with no clues provided. How could you not tell by just looking at a sitting truck in a picture that it had squeaks and the "Chevy shake"......
