I'm so unsatisfied with the performance of my truck. I've been back to the dealer several times complaining about the hesitation, the bogging/lagging at slow speeds in traffic, and the poor shifting. It most often feels like I'm driving a stick shift vehicle in 3rd gear when i should be in 2nd gear and waiting for the RPMs to to finally catch up and meet the correct gear. The dealer opened another ticket, called GM and I was told its "a normal characteristic of the truck" if they are no codes or troubles there is nothing they can do to help me...GM even said drive another new one to compare, I did, and it did the same things (but mine seems to do it a lot more often and worse)
So I'm forced to either trade it in and take a huge loss on 3 month old $53k truck or after reading the last 46 pages of this forum, tuning my truck to make it drive like it probably should have from the factory.....the BIG catch being I MIGHT lose my warranty...I really want to believe that Diablo could be undetectable or maybe Black Bear has a way around the dealer seeing a tune, buts a huge gamble...the devil on one shoulder say "TUNE IT" the angel says suck it up and live with it...
The service writer says he would work with me, knowing might complaints, if i tuned it for most warranty items, but a catastrophic failure would be a grey area and GM has the final say if they find anything in the codes regarding a tune
(who's to say that service write dosen't work there in a year though)
So is Diablo correct , they are really undetectable? Does Black Bear have a way around it also? they seem to be the 2 I'd have to go with....i don't have the time or experience to write my own tune, etc...
I just want to NOT HATE DRIVING MY TRUCK!
