    For sure prepare for a new transmission install. these transmissions are Pos Get the new GM with warranty and upgraded parts that don’t break. I paid 5300 total i was luckily I got 120k miles from my original. New transmission mucho better. just suffering from almost 2 mpg less than old.hope this changes. My average used to be 16.5 now it’s 15 ish good luck my mods :)) ac system starter radiator transmission Seat switches axle joints soon new booster brake pump

    Oh f* Truck shaking again at 65 and over with new tires. This time alignment didn’t work and several balance attempts. remember I had driveshaft spin and universal joint repair awhile back. continental all terrains stock 265/65/18.

    I have this weird crap happening now.. wanted a new booster etc with that last recall and they said my issue is not covered. These brakes don’t make you feel good. what is the fix besides getting no help from GM?

    My truck is running smooth, knock on wood! Really happy at all speed ranges. Axle shaft balance, new universal joints and an alignment some time ago. Nervous about getting new tires soon, lol prolly drive til these are bald don’t wanna mess anything up! At 81k

    I have been complaining bout my truck for most of it life and it’s vibes and shake at hi speed. Sick of no help from you know who I finally brought it to a independent mechanic and they figured it out in one quick test drive on the hwy. and in my case it was faulty Ujoints on either side of the drive shaft. I have 70k on my truck now. this is a cheap and easy parts swap so why not try it. Several dealers the last years had no clue. no clue! Notice cup of liquid in the video, that was my case as well. The faster I went the road the more it was evident. I had lots of drive shaft clunk which I was told by dealer that it was normal. Taking drive-shaft off to spin balance we found the joints to be bad. I shared this info with local dealer. He pointed my before after alignment specs where in range in that paper. But even tho, it took shake out at 72 on up. And driveshaft was the vibe that got worse 65 or so and up. I am getting great mpg’s Even with how I am driving fast all time! * update it still drives good!*

    Update on my vibratio, shimmy shaker. Drive shaft out and u joints are spent. Spin balance tomorrow. The mechanic thinks my issue could be faulty seizing u joints. But will balance anyway. Test drive tomorrow. *success* spin balance driveshaft new ujoints alignment! Such a relief!

    A independent mechanic drove my truck and felt the shimmy shake! Monday they going to check drive shaft and go from there. I remember Gm truck member RT’s words. “It’s the drive-shaft”! we will see, I would be so happy if this is the case for my truck. Will post with results.

    Hi all i got a call from some lawyers asking questions about my truck. i told them my history of a dozen wheel balances, 3 sets of tires and a few trips to dealers seeking help with none to be found. so anyway they call it a defective drive shaft class action lawsuit. they asked why I hadn’t tried the driveshaft. i told them I was too busy paying off truck and replacing the air conditioner, windshield and dealing with my weird ABS braking issues to get to the driveshaft install. so maybe now i will finally try installing one. Shakes start at 72 and violent at 80.

    Just spent 1400$ on a new complete system, compressor, condenser lines rings etc. at an independent dealer with 1 year warranty. The dealership wanted 900 for just compressor and no warranty. My truck has 65k.

    So what ever happened with your brake system? i am experiencing this problem lately. However when I took mine to the dealer it would not replicate. Frustrating.

    My Silverados rear ended binding on driveway turns. With creaky rear brake noises. Maybe brakes locking up, rather than rear ended?

    No love from GM. I called them and they said 65k is about the time that their crappy parts will fail. Deleted remark, have to call my advisor, brakes So I got my truck out of the dealership and will go with a local mechanic that is aware of the AC r e-end locking up now:(problems with GM! My local mechanic will replace condenser along with my compressor with other system Parts for 900$ dealer only would only replace compressor for 1100$ I promise from here on out no more dealer visits.

    how to make a pole to see how many compressors go out compared to leaky condensers? Emeralado's compressor went out today in a stink of glory. Maybe it will get my mine of the shakes.

    At 60k another Compressor bites the dust. not Condenser. mine went out today with a lot of smell in the cabin and a lot of heat blowing at 102 degrees outside with 2 kids in the car. so anyway I pulled into a dealer and they said they can get the compressor in 2 days. will they warranty the work or the part? from what Ive read the parts are bad and the problem will come up again. what to do?

    You got the Yukon’s and shaft at same time? Which would you suggest getting done first? Are the Yukons for stock application truck?

    ok, im ready to try this. my shake starts up at 70 then it gets worse at 80. i bought the new tires and it doesnt work. so now i know its been awhile. ill re-read through the post. the dealer people are not able to help. esp now it's out of warranty they say. which I thought axle would be part of drive train. I just went in to for3rd time for trailer brake system check ding that keeps coming up. they charge me to diagnose and say they cant find anything. im pissed cause both the shake and the trailer system message had been an issue since i was in warranty. now they charge me to diagnose. argh!

    I hate to be so harsh but it really starts to wear on you. Ive got an appointment to see about another road force balance. Hope it works cause I really dont want to buy another.. I found this article in FB. it has a mention our truck with ac issues noisy, shaky suspension is a mention.     I bought from four wheel parts in Santa Rosa. Mickey Thompson’s at stock tire size and had the same experience. Terrible shake multiple visits etc. I hardly even wore hafeway through the tread before trying another attempt at purchasing a tire at the dealer. Spent too much money dealing with it. Now my truck is shaking again:(
