  2. One question Homer? Do you plan on keeping this truck a long time? If so use your off the shelf oil just shorten the OCI's, 5k? If the cost doesn't bother you switch to a higher quality oil with the same OCI's.

  12. Lifter tick is primarily caused by insufficient lubrication, low oil pressure, or oil sludge, which prevents hydraulic lifters from maintaining proper clearance with the camshaft. This results in a, metallic tapping or clicking sound as the camshaft knocks against the lifter. It is commonly caused by worn parts, dirty oil, or faulty lifters. IMO if you had done more oil changes you wouldn't have this.
  13. People tend to hide their pain so their not called babies I guess. I don't get it. It's surgery, it causes pain and everyone's pain tolerance is different. They should call it RECOVERY not surgery, the surgery is a walk in the park, you're knocked out.
  14. Life is throwing curve balls. Someone we know passed away yesterday from prostate cancer, 9 year fight. My brother in law has been fighting it for 2 years, he's having rough go right now. My brother is in the hospital due to his MDS. Our cat was diagnosed with asthma last week. My recovery is slow, the wife's eyes are not improving. My granddaughter totaled her car, she's OK.
  15. The wife has had two fittings for the special contact, not there yet. Eyes still blurry but a little better. She is getting tired of the blurriness.
  16. It's been a week since surgery today. I have one spot that's hurt the worst since waking up from surgery. It's improved a little. Stopped taking oxycodone, taking Tylenol now. It helps. Senokot and Metamucil dailey has worked.
  17. The recovery sucks. I'm real prone to constipation from pain meds. So it's a big problem for me. I've tried it all to help.
  18. With the electronics today I don't wait for the battery to go dead, I have always changed them at 5 years. I just don't understand the thought process. It's going to die so why wait until it won't start.
  19. Surgery check in was 5:30 am, got up at 3 am. Surgery at 7:15 am. 4 hours on the table, 8 screws the doc said. Surgery went fine, just the pain now and the neck brace to deal with for 6 weeks. Had a room to myself to spend the night, very nice. They gave me an itemized bill, $243.000.00 total. Hospital fee/usage was $45k.
