  1. They just did the clamp/zip tie on mine and I'm doubting it will work, I have 750 miles on my 2014, yes you read that right 750, got so disgusted I parked it in my garage and left it sit. Going back this morning to have the B pillar trim panel replaced because it got scratched taking the seat out of the truck. Seriously tired of all the recalls over the years and I used to work at Delphi in Engineering so I had to answer the quality issues then from manufacturing but that is apparently a dead art. GM is turning a deaf ear to this stuff, I'm ready to buy a Honda Ridgeline. I have purchased 6 new trucks off of GM and I think this will be my last. No excuse for this problem to be all the way into the 2016 trucks and the fix I watched happen on my truck is a joke.If GM is reading this how about you offer to take this truck back? The mechanic I have is excellent, dealership incredible, they all are trying very hard, GM is not and the only surveys I get are about the dealership which has nothing to do with design flaws. You have 6 sigma and Shanin red X experts on your staff perform a root cause analysis, look at your DFMEA and PFMEA and fix things!
  2. All, I have a 2014 Crew Cab with believe it or not 725 miles and yes the date is 2/11/17. I have been given PIT5542 that states what the fix for the movement is but after reading this doubt it will work. The bulletin states that the service technician needs to grind .40" material to install the clip which sounds risky to me. What happens if they screw it up? and I have seen nobody on this string that has had this performed yet. I also have Safety Recall #15822C that needs performed on the seatbelt and from what I see they will cut the trim panel on the side of the seat which will then be an eyesore. Last Safety recall is GM 16007 for Airbag/restraint recall. I'm not sure any of these other than the programming for the airbag will be done at a satisfactory level on essentially a brand new truck. Has anybody had these done to any level of satisfaction? I'm considering just trading the POS in. Extremely disappointing, I planned on keeping for a long time.
  3. I have a 2014 Silverado crew cab with 600 miles (bought in 2015) that exhibits the seat movement and also has smears inside the windshield glass which is a new one to me! Also had paint issues I really hoped this would be a nice truck. Haven't started having everything reworked yet just wonder if that action will make things worse . Dissatisfied with GM quality AGAIN, I said in 2007 I'd never buy another after buying a new Avalanche and Suburban and should have stuck to my plan. So sad this stuff makes it to market. The windshield issues is unreal, had nothing to do with new model it's sloppy workmanship and care!
