  1. Dunno how to delete this with stupid mobile format
  2. You did zero damage. There are people who hit the rev limiter everyday. I mean the 6.2 has the cutoff at 6k rpm, and it’s the exact same engine as the one in the corvette, and that cuts off at 6600rpm. You did zero damage at the cutoff and it could probably run through an entire tank of gas bouncing off the rev limiter, well if you had enough cooling.
  3. If you have slt/denali projectors, because that’s what I have and I dunno what the other type of headlight has or if it‘s any different hylux 35w ballast, morimoto 35w bulbs, plug in and done if you want the fancy pants beam pattern, which is actually functionally better as well, and don’t mind a little diy work, d2s mini 5.0 projectors. (I have 4.0, i think they came out with 5.0 now) buy from retrofit source Led’s and regular bulb upgrades pail in comparison to 35w hid. i think if you tried 100 different setups and were the worlds leading expert on headlight upgrades, you’d chose this setup in the end for cost/performance/reliability
  4. Well it’s good info to know when you drive a vehicle with a 6k rpm redline and the identical motor in another vehicle goes to 6600rpm.
  5. Yeah right dude, you were blasting music, its ok i’ve done it before too.
  6. And 6600rpm when the identical long block is installed into a corvette
  7. I seriously doubt the ride is as nice as that old tahoe….or buick roadmaster, or a host of other 90’s boats. I mean it’s pretty damn easy to design a suspension to be good at one single thing and suck at everything else. Also, tahoe had air suspension too….courtesy of the 5” smaller wheels than your denali. I suppose I can’t really be sure without driving a new denali, but I’d seriously doubt it. I’m not knocking your denali, it’s better than an old tahoe in like 999/1000 categories. me saying the tahoe rides better than your denali is kinda like saying a 25 year old civic with cement poured in the water jackets and a 350shot of nitrous can beat a lambo in a rolling drag race. While technically true it’s not really relevant.
  8. I was talking about the oem ones as well. They are very expensive to buy new oem headlights. With 100’s of thousands of them built, they should be cheap. i mean it’s over $2k to buy 2 new headlights from the dealer I believe. On a $40k truck, in which over 100,000 were produced, the headlights are 8% or more of the cost of the vehicle? That makes no sense. I totally understand they have to appease regulation and need testing, but they have to do that with a lot of stuff. Surely those costs are a drop in the bucket when dealing with that kind of volume. I bet the only reason for it is wanting to avoid people buying the cheaper truck and throwing the better headlights on it, since headlights are nearly as important as wheels from a cosmetic standpoint.
  9. Those were pretty much exactly my temps when my trans thermostat was non functional and stuck closed. I had to figure it out myself, dealer was clueless. Might want to verify your trans cooler is receiving flow. You can do this warming up your trans and feeling the output line from the trans cooler. If you’re actually flowing fluid through it, it should very hot. Like burn you if you keep your hand on it. You can also touch the lines coming from the tstat as one is supply and one is return to the cooler, with your trans hot, both lines should be very hot to the touch. If you’re not receiving flow, one will be ambient temp.
  10. I bet it’s a bad ground somewhere. k2xx had one on the driver side A pillar. A manufacturing flaw caused some trucks to have the plastic trim sandwiched under the ground bolt. Caused some weird ass intermittent problems, like the stabilitrack randomly intervening and jerking the wheel. Also would explain why it hasn’t been found yet.
  11. Yeah and I seriously doubt the dealer is doing either of those things. I’ve been wondering this and asking this question for 5 years now lol.
  12. I hated the mag ride. It was awesome in the Camaro and the cadi cts I drove that had it, but the denali I hated it. it gives so much feedback. You can feel basically running over a quarter in the road. I want my luxo barge to be luxurious, floaty, and silent. I don’t want to know whats going on in the outside world. I want cracks in the road, potholes, and small children to give me zero feedback when I run over them.
  13. Well there goes this thread. op why are you saying that it has it?
  14. So many people talk about flushing the trans fluid. ever since I joined here, not one person has told me how this is possible. How do you flush the trans fluid when there is a thermostat that doesn’t open until 190 degrees? i asked my dealer this, and they said they don’t do flushes. This is not some small town dealer either. The only thing they do to change trans fluid is drop the pan and change the filter and then refill it. There are so many people, even in this thread, that mention the dealer “flushed” their trans. How the hell did they do this?
  15. They are slightly firmer than the stock ranchos for small bumps/road variances, and way way softer for large bumps. Basically when you go over a speed bump or hit a large pot hole, it no longer feels like somebody hit your truck with a sledge hammer.
  16. You’re rear end ratio obsessed I see. The differential is a torque multiplier. There are 2 torque multipliers when taking power from the crank shaft to the tire. The transmission and the differential. Why people think they can judge the overall torque multiplication with just the differential ratio is beyond me.
  17. There’s no point, the l86 intake is better.
  18. This thread made me wonder, why the hell are headlight assemblies so expensive. molded plastic, some glass, mirrors...where’s all the money going? I’d assume they were $100/pair if I didn’t know any better.
  19. Bet you could buy the oem bose sub center consol, rip out the amp (because of compatibility issues), power it with your own amp. I kinda like the oem bose sub. Just enough base without being annoying.
  20. I always pondered the idea of building a bed out of cement. Like pour the bed and somehow lay down on it to form the mold. It should be so perfectly formed in the end it would be like floating in water
  21. I have an epidural scheduled for wednesday. In a ton of pain. I am driving so gangster right now.
  22. If your back is hurting, you inflate the lumbar. i have a herniated disc. So i have lumbar all the way out and I have a pad for my lower back
  23. Ah, well fortunately there are hundreds of reviews from people that used those actual tires and we don’t have to listen to people who base all products a large company produces off of one bad experience at some point in time. Craftsman tools must be great too, because I had a great experience with my ratchet set from 1980.
  24. So I have 62k on mine and it was slipping a little. Just had the pan dropped and filter replaced. shifts firmed up a lot, feels like a new trans. Wondering if you guys that had a fluid done and then it went, noticed something similar
  25. No 5100’s are good if you don’t want to change as well. They are like $10 more each, proven, and you can leave at stock height and should you ever want to, you can lift the front end. Out of all of us that bought bilsteins, like 95% went with 5100’s regardless if they wanted stock height or not.
