  1. find a local tuner that can just disable the lock up converter for 1-4th gear, this will solve lots of issues
  2. what i experienced is the rumble might not be the DoD but your lock up converter lugging the engine at too low an rpm. I think i need the adjust the parameters for lock up and un locked vs rpm on my truck
  3. i love air bags for towing but they suck when unloaded, have you tried the foam springs ,? i 'm sure they are rough too unloaded, I wonder if Air shocks would be better for all around ride comfort and towing stability? I believe Grumpy found a softer rear truck spring set for our trucks, you might want to ask him the part number
  4. i have a feeling the 8 speeds issues are software related. i suggest purchasing the HPTuners MPVI and the tuning schools GM transmission booklet

  6. what RPM and Gear are you in when it vibrates? is there a simple way to disconnect the TCC clutch by removing the connector to the TCC solenoid?

  11. this same effect use to happen to me when i had a youtube app on my apple phone, anything i talked about near th phone , would pop up a day later on my youtube feed page.

  13. this cured my clunking , engine push during stopping and hesitation. there are many other mods to the trans file that need attention, i'm still learning but you will be very satisfied after completing this software fix.. your next problem is unlocking the encryption on 2017-2021 trucks , to access the TCM . your not screwed but it cost over $1000 to unlock. Next step is you get the tcm from an older truck , 2014-2016 TCM and install into your transmission. this is cheaper than the new encrypted units

  15. stay away from anything after 2016, infact i would go back a previous generation. but if your getting the K2 2014-16 is my cut off . tuning and mods cost increase and get more complicated 2017-present if i was gonna tow cross country it would be a 5th wheel, and a 6.0 2500 with 6 speed, part time towing i like 5th weels in a 1500 truck with the 6.2 motor try and find a 373 rear end, or the best gearing possible. long hauling thru crosswinds is no fun on a class 3 hitch,
  16. i keep the rear seats up, and weathertech florr cover, and some sort of seat covers for the front, i use black sheepwool covers on my front seat, and slide a shirt or sweater slide over the center divider armrest to protect the plastic from snot and claws. when my dog is dirty he lives in the bed been toying with the idea of removing the rear folding seats and putting them into storage. then i'lll have way more room for Doggoo and gear

  19. have you tried setting the rpm activation point to 1200 or 2000rpm? I also discovered the ramps in /out time prefers a factor of 1.0, and not .050 on stock i am getting confussed on the ECT min max, temps, i will try your numbers , i think mine are backwards. Amaized at how hot the truck gets when i do a pull, i got the cooling fans pretty well dialed in, but they are always running even at 40% but maintaining my the 178 temp. I wonder if the radiators are a bit undersized for the power output and weight of the truck?
  20. have the tuner reprogram the transmission. stock is horrible. I have zero engine performance parts, but am slowly tuning the A6 trans , and i swear it feels like i added 15hp by reducing slip, tcc poins, TM, an cooling to 135 F gears are great for towing and off the line hole shots and shitty MPG. stock is 3.42, which sux for running 35" tires, but in stock trim its great for city and highway MPG, and top speeds with stock diameter tires
  21. $10,000 to have a shop do it correctly , truck will be well tuned, and reliable and clean install. hiillbilly tuner shop probably get you going for $5500 with a single turbo..
