i took the rear mirror out completely, LOVE it. less obstruction and can see people standing on the corner crosswalk when attempting to make a turn. i almost killed a couple pedestrians because of mirror blindspot issues.

i tore apart a few AC delco cheapo $3 filters, and have to say the quality is plenty good for 5000 miles of easy daily driving . not recommended for high revving race motors. but daily truck is great i would focus on giving the transmission more in terms support and clean fluids and a bypass filter change every 10k

so... 84% is 100% wot? i'm guessing whats left on the gauge is reserved to either TM, IDLE, or TC

I'll look into that. but at stock power my last log showed 84% tb opening

if you did the bypass mod, you can bring the temps up about 10-20 degrees by installing a full flow spin on filter without the anti drainback spin on oil filter. this puts pressure on the cooling line and and holds back the trans fluid from flowing freely thru the cooler. i found a standard spin on filter with the anti drain back valve causes restriction and will increase the trans temp to the same level as the thermostat before deleting it. I now got rid of my old spin on set up and went with a motorguard cartridge style (toilet paper roll) design, more surface area and no restrictions with drain back valves, also dialed down the trans fans to 190 degrees operation , before they never turned on until 220 degrees.

after 2019 covid pandemic, it seems everyone left the city who could afford too, and bought homes in rural areas for back up plans

bigger is better, since the factory tb programming wont open them past 80-84% at WOT unless you got the 6.2 software or 6.2 equipt truck.

only issue GM is going to have with EV's is... cold climate sales, since lithium batteries loose over 50% of their performance when cold, which means you need to heat the batteries with the cars own battery thus reducing efficiency below Gas. then there is the whole climate control thing, you ev owners are polluting more by charging your ev from the power station instead of using solar panels on your house, A grid of panels to charge the car with a battery storage bank will cost you over $80,000 and require a weekly or monthly maintnance. and if your not living in the sun belt your power absorbsion from sunshine is less efficient again to sum it all up , ev's are a small niche and cant replace fuel energy. unless the US gov and millitary releases the patents and tech on old man Tesla's wirelesss power transmission device, ev's are a gimmick for yuppies and city dwellers

was driving behind a newer bolt ev today, when he came to a stop at a light, as i pulled to a stop behind the little car, i could see the front end of my trucks grill in his rear view mirror, getting bigger and bigger the closer i got to his bumper, it was like a magnafied view of his rear camera on the whole mirror, very interesting waste of technology. like having a 4K tv for the rearview mirror. wonder who's gonna be the first to install this on your truck?

take off the fm radio antenna and run your cb coax to the factory antenna mount.. install a stainless steel CB whip ant. where the old FM antenna was

i have been playing with my TCC lock up and i find i get shudder when locked in the last gear and in v4 mode. the gear selection and apply time is probably to early and causing lugging on the motor at these low powered and low rpm's. kinda like a manual transmission car when your in the wrong gear. except this is designed for max emmisions and best fuel consumption.

its simple, find the closed position, and rotate the flapper bracket open on the exhaust til it stops, now you should be able to slide your 1/4-20 x 2-3" long bolt thru the two square brackets, this is where you need the large fender washers to hold both sides together. tighten it up, and bamm you got more horsepower for $.75 of hardware
