  1. I kind of like that chrome handle on the console lid.
  2. throw it on CL. you might get $150-$200 for it.
  3. came across this ad on CL. Not mine and encourage you to do your homework before buying on CL. https://poconos.craigslist.org/pts/d/center-console-silverado/6350846708.html
  4. cool. luckily i don't have holes in my front bumper. ;) how long before you install the front camera? lol
  5. making me nauseous just thinking about all that wiring and pinning lol. nice job and good vid as well. i'm guessing you don't need an upgraded cluster for this? just the programmed module?
  6. That's strange that they aren't the same. But good info to know. Thanks
  7. are the escalade clusters blue?
  8. yeah, i know. VA sucks for tint.
  9. gotcha. i need to get my fronts matched to the back.
  10. where did you go for tinting? all windows or just fronts?
  11. Here's the connectors I used. It didn't occur to me to check the measurements of the door opening prior to getting these. I had to shave off the little tab in order to get it through the door.
  12. Here's a few other pics I took while installing these.
  13. I wouldn't bother with it. but if you do, you might as well go put some sound deadening in while you're in there. that would be the only reason i would take the panels off again.
  14. Still enjoying these handles. The lights are very subtle, but cool nonetheless. I actually like the contrast of the chrome, so I have no plans as of now to get them painted.
  15. while not preferred, is there anyway to do a DIY muffler swap and use clamps and extension pieces? trying to get a better sound without spending too much right now.
  16. i went with a retrax, but the diamondback was my other choice. only issue for me was being able to carry taller items in the bed.
  17. All done. Thanks to pgamboa for the writeup and supplies I needed to finish this.
  18. I was hoping to get away with not painting the top piece. And so far I'm really liking the small contrast. So I'm going to stick with the chrome for now. I will say that wiring these up is not as easy as Phil makes it out to be. Be prepared for a lot of work to get these to work. I skipped some of the cosmetic stuff ie, wrapping the wires in the factory harness, etc just to save some time. But one rear door took me the better part of 4 hrs when it was all said and done.
  19. easy part is done.
  20. I may try to tackle some of this, this weekend if the kids cooperate. or at least get the door panels taken off.
  21. As many harnesses as you make, the crimpers are an absolute no doubt. but for one offs, needle nose pliers would work fine.
