  1. Yeah, expensive lesson learned. I'm now trying to figure out how bad I want to torture myself by doing it in my driveway.
  2. The 7500 would be for parts and labor. Would also include replacing the rear main seal while in there.
  3. Brief update on this, but I think changing the fluid accelerated my demise. Tried to drive the truck the other day and the trans was slipping pretty bad. Pump was also whining loudly. So now worst case scenario. Anyone have a shop recommendation in Northern Virginia area? Was quoted 7500 by one shop. Terrible timing with the cold weather, but I'm also considering trying to tackle it myself.
  4. Putting this year in case anyone else has similar issues to me. Last year I was having the same issues with my 2016 silverado radio and the random station changes, frozen screen, and eventually blank screen. I got a new HMI from Whiteautomotive and it fixed my issues.
  5. Yeah, 6 speed i assume that's with a tech 2 scanner? at full throttle, it seems to shift just fine. it's when i am slowly accelerating that i'll get the hesitation around 28-30mph. i guess a trip to the dealership for a diagnosis is in my future.
  6. Just started getting some hesitation on acceleration and so I was hoping that fresh fluid might fix the issue. But after draining about 7 qts and refilling and new filter, the issue is still there around 30 mph. So back to the drawing board, but I'm thinking it's probably the torque converter.
  7. Well, give it to me straight. 90k miles, original fluid. Should I start donating plasma to pay for a new transmission?
  8. 2016 LT 5.3 with about 90k miles and truck is now starting to show symptoms of this issue I believe. On acceleration, it seems to be hesitating or mis-firing. Original fluid, so I'm going to try and drop the pan and do a filter and fluid change. If I wanted to do multiple drain and fills, how long between each one should I do?
  9. Thanks. I've gotten some stuff from phil way back when he was first starting out making DL3 mirror harnesses. I'll try to look up the BCM plugs in the upfitter manual and see what it lists for the connectors.
  10. Reviving this thread again. Does anyone know the part # for the terminals needed? I tried looking through the thread, but didn't see any references to them. I want to see if I have the ones on hand or need to order them. Thanks
  11. My tungsten metallic is a very dark gray. Most people think it's actually black. Best color they offered imo.
  12. I'm wondering what the difference is between the escalade model and the suburban model? Is it the USB plugs?
  13. I'd have to measure it when I get home. Unless the Amazon link gives the depth. I don't have shutters, but when doing a dry fit I didn't notice any fitment issues.
  14. Not yet. I haven't had a chance to mess with my truck lately. I went with a mictuning 32" led from Amazon. I caught it on sale for $35. If I think of it, I'm going to try and call Rough Country this week to see about ordering their mounting kit. That looks to be the best option besides a diy route.
  15. hmm, did i know your lighted handle turn orange?
  16. Oh man, that's not bad at all. I'm going to call them up to order one. Thanks for the info. Shoot me a PM with how much you are looking to get for your extra switch. I might be interested in it.
  17. How much was the Rough Country bracket kit?
  18. With money being the way it is, I decided to just go with the 275/55s and put the additional money towards an alignment after i get them installed. i was also worried that Costco would freak out about installing a non oem listed size.
  19. trying not to hijack this thread, but in looking at the KO2s, is it worth $80 to go up to a 275/60 over the factory 275/55? It looks like Costco is running a promo on BFGs as well. Trying to figure out if there's really any real benefit to just an 1" taller tire?
  20. Thanks for info. I mainly do Hwy and pavement driving, but do occasionally find myself driving through construction sites and getting all muddy. :D. Wet traction and handling in the snow are also important. I have always liked Michelins and Costco is running their Michelin promo this month, which has me leaning towards the LTX. But the BFGs really do look good on our trucks.
  21. That does look good. I'm debating between the BFGs and Michelin Ltx. I can't wait to get rid of these SRAs.
  22. Is anyone running 275/60/20 BFGs All Terrains on their stock setup?
  23. I"d be interested in the lower bumper filler with license plate bracket if you decide to separate.
  24. Installed the heated steering wheel on my 2016 LT. Install was easy and straightforward. Really should have done it years ago.
