  1. Autoshart, as I call it, is a curse from the EPA. Make sure you feed your hamsters good sunflower seeds OP. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  2. To be fair, the L84 really is just an L83 with that autostart nonsense. All that does is burn your starter out and put more load on the battery. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  3. Naaaaah, those numbers are too low. Not my experience with the Vortec 5.3 or the Ecotec. Towing is capped below 7,000?! Hard pass. Modern half tons are up around 10,000 or above. Best of luck to you, hope you don't try to haul too much with it. That turbo has to be screaming to get those numbers. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah ok, but what's the fuel consumption like? Guaranteed it sucks more gas than the V8. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  5. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] That's not what I've read. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  6. But WHY? I watched that truck channel on YouTube make a video with it with a trailer loaded to near max the capability and that thing was a dog. Now we want increased rolling resistance? Dear god. This was GM's ploy to give the Silverado moniker a "green" appearance. I guess the mall parking lot speed limit is only 15 mph. It oughta do that. 7. That was my thought. Jesus. It probably struggles with the stock wheels and tires! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  8. Oh heavens. You got the 4-banger?! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  9. Without putting blocks under your rear axle, your front end has to come up about 2" to level the truck. Now, bear in mind that if you plan to use it to tow anything close to its capacity, you need to leave it with the rake. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  10. If you level it, you'll need a realignment. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  11. In fact, if you want to level your truck, get the Bilstein 5100s and set the snap ring to the top. If you're doing it yourself, here's how. A lengthened strut assembly won't just hop back in easy. Take one of your two strut compressors and run it down on the outer side of the spring, so you can get the lower part of the strut to sit on the lower control arm. Run the bolts in, and release that compressor clamp. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  12. Absolutely. Your 2019 LD pickup is only an overrun of 2014-2018 parts that GM wanted to make money on. They did the same thing in 1998, the GMT800s were rolling off the line but for 10 whole years they were making GMT400 pickups. They sold GMT400s for at least an additional 2 years beyond 1998, labeled "Silverado Classic". Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  13. I would also ditch the hideous wheels they stuck on the LD. The 18" LT wheel is so much better looking in my opinion. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  14. Exactly, in regards to adding fog lights to your truck. 2016-2018 parts will work. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  15. Yes, your LD is really no different from the 2014-2018 trucks. You'll need the bumper with cutouts, the harness, and the switch to turn them on. You'll need 2016+ parts because they updated the front clip that year. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  16. I'm thinking air pocket as well. They are a common problem with these capless radiators. The old way to "burp" the system was to fill the radiator and overflow tank, and start the vehicle. As it warms up, keep filling at the radiator until the level stabilizes, then top off the overflow tank. Now? Fill it the best you can and drive it around until your temp gauge stops acting wonky. 17. Why do they have to sit flush with the sides? Do you want them to be usable or not? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  18. Short story of it is this. Your truck isn't possessed. RF interference and coupling onto unshielded conductors is a funny thing. Radio stations are given limits on transmit power by the FCC, but that doesn't always mean they abide by it. There are also plenty of "pirate" radio stations run from personal property. It causes anomalies as you describe, which is why the FCC tries to control it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  19. You also mentioned you were in the boonies. I live very close to boonie area, and CB is very much alive here, and on my highway commute. Some of those truckers are using biiiiiiiig amplifiers, that signal will bleed into anything and come out of your speakers if you aren't actively using them. It's common for someone to play most if not all of a song to get attention. I don't use an amplifier, but instead a big 55" whip on the roof. Range is outright impressive on that with a standard 4 watt radio and even further on sideband. But it's clearly intended for the amplifier crowd, as it's rated for 3500 watts. 20. Were you near a radio tower? Being in close proximity to a powerful transmitter can quite literally bleed into your stereo wires and faintly play it through your speakers. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  21. Was the RPO code on the sticker in your glove box? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  22. I really didn't even know the G80 wasn't something they stuck on all the K2s. Even the WTs have them here in Central Florida. It seems to be a standard RPO here. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  23. [emoji952][emoji91] and there goes the diff cover! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  24. Idk if it's a regional thing or what. Every K2 I looked at/test drove had a G80. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  25. Mine came with one from the factory. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
