  1. The weathertech rear is a 1 piece unit that pretty much covers every part of the carpet. They cost a pretty penny, but my dad is a real piece of work when it comes to his trucks. I need to get a photo of the stash of microfiber towels under his rear seats. Mine? I've got GoJo hand cleaner, 5 D-cell MagLite, greasy jumper cables, and my spare tire tools unbolted and free because nothing is more frustrating than that big wingnut with 4x as many excess threads to turn it past. He and mom visit every other weekend to see the kids and if my truck has EVEN ONE bug stuck to it, he'll tell me about it as he goes out to wash his from the drive over. As a kid, he'd send me outside to wash my truck if it had anything on it. Even now being over 30, he'll tell me my truck is dirty. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  2. I didn't click the link, looked like weathertech to me. My dad has those in his 17 Sierra front and back, I'll take a picture when he visits Friday if you want. Oops, the post had Husky liners. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  3. Maybe he's got a single cab! I understand, as rare as those are, few to none come to the chop shop! [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  4. All depends on environment and where you drive the truck. If it was clogged up, definitely worth changing. If you are unfortunate enough to get a single leaf sucked into your AC fan just under the filter, which just happened to me, get an air compressor with air nozzle and blast in that slot that the filter comes out of, and you'll clear it. 5. I washed it. [emoji16] Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  6. If your phone is taking a long time to charge, it's ready to be replaced. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  7. What's that? Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  8. You can also get them from[mention=202707]Frankielozano214[/mention], the guy has just about any external or internal piece of trim you could think of swapping to. [emoji106] for Frankie's Chop Shop. [emoji1787] Oops, just looked closer and realized that's a T1. For any K2* needs, Frankie is the source. Sorry guys, that's our K2 owner shenanigans. Carry on. 9. Hell I can't tell. Been driving it for years between Eau Gallie and 46. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  10. The new wheels will fit the previous generation truck, but not older wheels on the new model. The new model trucks have larger brake calipers. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  11. The Range modules really do work wonders on these trucks. I love mine. Mine wasn't shaking, but it's soooooo smooth on shifts with it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  12. I commute 5 days a week on my 5.3L/6 speed, been doing it for years. Did it on a 2014 double cab and a crew cab. Crew cab was a few hundred pounds heavier. Really didn't notice much difference in fuel mileage between the two to care about. Bear in mind, I'm in Florida and the road is flat as can be. We get windy days, but I've never paid attention to that. But wind can be pretty restrictive. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  13. 6', sorry. The keys are close together. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  14. In my mind, "short bed" is 6". I'm old school like that. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  15. Where did you guys find regular cab trucks with short beds? Nobody has them around here! Most of what's out around town are crew cabs. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  16. A V8 1500 will tow literally twice what that thing will. Please tell us all again how it's got more power than a V8. Please. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  17. I'm still not sitting here thinking "Damn. The V8 is a turd, I should've bought the Honda." Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  18. The V8 will want to roll at the highest gear possible for better MPG. Of course it downshifts for a hill. Your 2.7 won't because it's already spinning high and more revs only help. But that downshift on the V8 with the gearing it has will give it far more torque than your little 2.7. Waiting for a shift isn't a measuring point. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  19. I guarantee the 5.3 is geared lower than that lawn mower engine with half the rated capacity. Lower gearing WILL make you shift more to maintain speed, but I hardly consider that a negative on towing ability. Look at their ratings. The 5.3 trucks will tow twice what the 2.7 will. Here's a test. Get a trailer loaded to the max that the 5.3/3.42 will tow, and put that on the 2.7. Now tell me which one feels better. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  20. What are the differences in the transmission? What were the rear axle ratios? That's what is gonna dictate whether your transmission shifts, not the engine. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  21. Sure it did. [emoji849] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  22. Over the lifespan of the truck, you wanna bet you save 7 grand on fuel? I'm thinking no. To get that little hamster wheel to crank out takes a lot of gas. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  23. Your turbo is gonna be screaming wide open, you'll be sucking down fuel, I'm getting 23 mpg on a V8. No V4, it's disabled. What is a 4 cylinder turbo engine saving you? Turbo bearings go south, bam. Need a new turbo. The V8s have their own issues, but they are manageable and easily mitigated. Y'all on the other hand are in no man's land. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  24. Not even, I wouldn't go to a 2500 unless I regularly had a load to pull. A V8 1500 even without max trailer package can do 9,000. That's more what I'd expect buying a 1500. What was the out the door price? I can almost guarantee you didn't save any money picking that engine. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
  25. For light usage like you stated, it's probably fine. For me, I yank an occasional stump, I pull a 8,000 pound loaded trailer, and in Florida we have Hurricane season. Whole oaks may fall and block the road. You can either wait for someone to cut it up and move it, cut it yourself, or drag it out of the way. In the last 4 years, I've done a lot of dragging. If you buy a pickup for regular heavy work or even the prospect of it, this go-cart motor ain't gonna cut your mustard. My 1993 Single cab short bed has more towing capacity. I will never support farting in the wind to stop a tornado. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk
