  1. A lot of people have them on here. They do work. I think the most up to date version has a blue LED. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  2. Does it not set off a chime alert and a dash light when your gas gets low? From there, check your range. Should never be surprised about running out of gas. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  3. You only get a certain resolution of adjustment per "click", so it's likely that an automatic watch will always be a little off. You can go further and change springs... but if you need that level of precision, use a quartz watch. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  4. Did anyone in this thread get the roner yet? Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  5. Get the truck up, all 4 wheels or two at a time, and in neutral. You should be able to turn the wheels by hand somewhat easily. If not, take the brake caliper off, grease up the slides real good, and try again. If that doesn't fix it, you're gonna need a new caliper. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  6. Sounds like your truck was letting a beefer! I feel my guts shudder when I do! Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  7. Where in CFL are you? I'm in Oviedo. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  8. You should be fine, mileage-wise. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  9. I would just change the mirror caps to chrome. They don't get ruined by bug splatter like the painted ones do. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  10. The only time I've ever heard any whine coming from the engine bay of any truck I have ever had was when my belt tensioner pulley was on its way out on my '93. I've never heard an AC compressor running inside the cab. My old truck made a definitive click when the compressor engaged and disengaged. Can't even hear that in my new one. It just blows cold air. It still does what it is supposed to, what are you hoping to do with it? Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  11. I am a human radiator. I always have it full cold. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  12. I put my radio bracket on the little compartment door where, traditionally, the ashtray would be on the lower part of the dash. It's 2 holes, if it bothered me enough later, I could just replace the door. My coax is just routed up between the front and rear door, between the weather seals. If you zip tie it to the grab handle, and route it on the floor under the mats, it's not in the way and you don't really know it's there. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  13. The entire cab cools down pretty fast if you crank the fan to maximum speed, open all the front vents and point them straight, turn on recirculation, and set your temp knob(s) to LO. The problem occurs when you have someone in a front seat who closes their vent or angles it towards the window. Blast that ******, it's gotta make it to the rear! My rule is no messing with the vents, the temperature, or the fan. If you're thin blooded, bring a jacket. I'll take the fan speed down after I can see frost building on the rear glass. 14. Make sure you ran the top nut of your strut assembly down far enough. There is A LOT of preload on these springs, to the extent that I don't do front struts at home anymore. If you don't have that preload right, your strut will be too long. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  15. Considering that states are reporting more deaths as due to COVID-19 than reality to get federal money, I highly doubt these figures. It IS happening, and has been reported on. It's another flu. You can't refute my claim because the numbers are known to be inflated. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  16. [emoji23] All those numbers and calculations and we still have a 99% survival rate. It was another flu. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  17. You are probably right, but I like flying well under radar. I can definitely confirm that an officer that stops you hates hearing themselves through your radio when you have a mic attached to the unit (which only works on CB, but they don't know that). Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  18. I may get slightly better performance on the scanner if I had a roof mounted 800/900 MGHz antenna, but that's a function I prefer to keep "stealth". From an outside observer, I only have CB. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  19. I have a K2, but I screwed my bracket into the little door that opens and shuts on the underside of the dash in the middle. I'm running a Beartracker 880, the CB/scanner combo unit from Uniden. Check it out, it's pretty sweet to be able to hear Police/Fire/EMS and other digital trunking systems that every service seems to have now. It has 2 antennas, 1 for CB and one for the scanner. The scanner antenna is internal to the cab and works just fine that way, my CB antenna cable I route between the jumpseat and passenger seat, under the mats, up along the driver side B-pillar and out between the driver and rear door on the driver side so that it escapes through weather stripping with no pinching. You may be able to do the same. Also, FYI, the 980SSB and 800/880 use the same mounting bracket and microphone, so you can interchange head units as you see fit. I also use a magnetic mount Tram 3500, it's a 55" with adjustment at the base for SWR tuning (use a meter, don't smoke your radio), and it's rated for pretty high wattage if you choose to use an amplifier. I'm close enough to some big highways, so I don't see the need for one. I will say I have DXed with that antenna on my truck with my gain all the way up, SWR at 1.1 out to Texas. 20. I call it sweet and sour sicken. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  21. But my statty sticks showed that coronavirus is worse than the flu! [emoji23] Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  22. [emoji3166] still a mystery to me but I'm in Florida where it's all flat Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  23. Ok, still, why? What am I looking at? Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  24. [emoji3166] why in God's green earth would you purchase a 4x4 Z71 pickup truck to lower it? Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  25. You're missing the point. If you have to pull the arm to change the bushings, especially the lower, by then, the thru-hole for the sway bar is most likely egged out. That's been my experience on past trucks. It makes far more sense to just replace the whole arm with bushings installed (they're in there super tight). The cost for the metal becomes a wash.
