  1. Uhhh, really? Is this a real post?! A 6.6 Duramax of the vintage you speak of is extremely overpowered for a 1500. Will it drive? If you can shove it all under the hood, but good luck getting that to work. A 1500 is not a HD.
  2. That looks pretty good! It would necessitate a redesign of the center console for the ducts. My 05 Tahoe I had used vents in the ceiling and had a controller overhead for that zone of the AC and should have been implemented in the K2 trucks similarly. But, the cab volume is not that of an SUV, so if you run your fans at full speed and set it to blow from the floor vents and the forward vents, you enhance the cooling in the rear. But I've found that just blasting the front vents cools the whole truck pretty fast. Remote start before you get in via the Onstar app and by the time you get in, the entire interior is damn near 60 degrees.
  3. If you can hear it shift gears, and I don't mean just the noise made by moving the lever inside the cab, then I'm betting the transmission is shot. Hooray!
  4. Why? Just roll it up and drop it in the main compartment that's underneath that middle seat. No need to unbolt it. Those seatbelts are incredibly unsafe anyway. Nobody should be in the middle seat.
  5. Where did you have all of this work done? There was an old trick you could do, not sure if it does anything on this generation, but WITH THE BATTERY COMPLETELY REMOVED AND NOT CONNECTED, touch and hold the + and - cables together. Then re-install your battery.

  7. A friend of mine just had what you are describing. Had to have the fuel injectors removed, cleaned, and reinstalled. There may have also been a top top cleaning done. If you idle your truck a lot, stop doing that.
  8. The stamped arms are far bulkier than that. I've had both. One is not necessarily better than the other, just different.
  9. It's gonna be REALLY hard to get the front end back together like that, if not impossible. Your ball joints are going to have some really bad angles. 2" is all I would lift with factory control arms.
  10. Nope, here is why. I need my truck. If you maintain your own home, you will also. Don't be that guy constantly pestering someone if they'll help you move, pick this up, etc. If you sell, now what? You're going to lose anything you gained to buy another truck, and with the low stock of new out there, you're gambling on someone else's used truck. It makes no sense at all.
  11. LOL the auto ride stuff is ridiculously priced too. Several companies make autoride delete kits so you can use regular struts. Pretty hard to beat the ride of a Bilstein.

  19. It makes no rational sense to separate GMC from Chevrolet in terms of comparing sales against Ford or Dodge/Ram. It's the same product, it should be combined. Using the combined number, GM is tough to beat. Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
