  1. Yes, you're gonna need a basic SWR meter for CB and an open area. Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  2. What? No. Standard transmit power is 4 watts. Yes, your SWR changes as you change channels but should be fairly close. The closer you get to a 102" length, the flatter your SWR will stay. You're gonna burn the finals up without tuning your antenna. Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  3. How do you know the battery is ok? Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  4. Uhaul's idiot employee blew mine on a 3 day old truck. I sent them an invoice for the diagnosis and "repair" because the vehicle warranty protects ME, not them. I wanted to test the trailer lights using the actual trailer plugged in, but they used a test light with probes and shorted it. Being a dense idiot should be painful so you don't do it anymore. 5. It's a shorter sidewall, so it will ride harder when you switch. But it will fit just fine. You really only got 25,000 on the first ones? Damn son. Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  6. You don't have the proper connector to use that splice. Why are you doing this anyway? Your SWR is gonna be terrible. Your CB will not function very long like that. Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  7. Those factory bottle jacks are crap. As you found, at extension, they're too weak. Also, the ram end has NOTHING to grip the axle tube or frame with. Try using that thing in the rain. It's garbage. You can get a small hydraulic jack and pitch that thing in the garbage. This is GM's fault. Not the first person I have heard say this happened to them. 9. The Energy Savers are discontinued - if you don't already have them, they are no longer being made. The "Defender" is the new name for essentially the same tire. Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  10. That's not that bad. Get a quote and see what they say. Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  11. Big props for using the crack stress relief technique. That was a method they taught us waaaaaay back in structure and property of materials, a 3000 level engineering course. Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  12. The other ones have the slightly larger screen in between the RPM and Speedometer gauges, and the PRNDL indicator runs horizontally at the bottom. The trip knob isn't there, the steering wheel buttons are used instead to navigate through menus and reset trips. I would leave it alone, it's not a big enough crack to bother with. 13. The LT cluster lenses don't have the hole for the manual trip odometer reset, but should be the same other than that. Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  14. You could try a junkyard to pull one out of a wrecked truck. Surely you'll find one these days. The holes that you are putting at each end of the crack are for stress reduction. By widening the tip of the crack, you are relieving localized stress in the material and it's much less likely to continue cracking. Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  15. It's more effective to change the arm. It takes a lot of force to push the bushings in and out. You could probably make a jig of some type to do it, but what's your time worth? Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  16. It's doing WHAT?! Sent from my SM-A516U using Tapatalk
  17. What is the problem? That the radio turns on? Turn the volume to 0. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  18. Are you sure the dealer was putting 8 quarts in? Any time I have them change oil, I always confirm with them that they're putting 8 quarts in of 20w synthetic. When you say "way high" on the dipstick, how high is way high? There will be some oil in the oil cooler that won't come out with an oil change, but that's alright. The owner's manuals say to add 8.5 quarts, which would cause a high reading on the stick. It won't hurt anything but they put out a bulletin that says it's ok to just use 8. 19. [emoji849] it's the shutters, guys. It's likely been doing that the entire time you have owned the truck. You just weren't looking. The effect is more pronounced in hot weather or towing, but it isn't gonna hurt anything. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  20. You're gonna need the same cab size. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  21. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787] Somebody lowered it. Lol! Dude, if you knew it didn't look right, you don't buy it! Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  22. It won't hurt to remove it, it's for aerodynamics. In the owner's manual, it even says you can remove it if needed for off road clearance. GM has been making truck bumpers with those air dams a long time, and each manual says the same thing. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  23. Do it on the rear plate then. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  24. You are not the only one with the issue. You're gonna have to repaint. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
  25. [emoji848] I've had mine plugged in for over a year and my OnStar reports come in just as they did before I plugged it in. Sent from my SM-J810F using Tapatalk
