    I definitely agree with running e85. Makes a noticeable difference, in my opinion. I had a 14 double cab with a 4.3 and always ran e85. An added benefit of e85 is that the exhaust smells like corn chips

    The DIC is Driver Information Center. It is the small screen between the tach and speedo. For what it's worth I had a set of aftermarket lights similar to yours. Also had problems with hyper flash. Got rid of them and installed factory led taillights with adaptor harness and have no problem for over a year. Best of luck!

    This is from a post on the center console swap thread. Looks like this is where most guys are getting consoles from. I got mine on ebay, it was a brand new take out. Got it a lot cheaper than what they are going for now, but think those days of $350 consoles are gone. Anyways here is the post from that thread.... mitchell95: I just finished my swap.     Washed, used clay bar, and waxed the truck today. Also installed areoskin deflector.

    If you put it in manual shift mode and it goes to L8 it's an 8 speed.

    Craigslist, Ebay, offerup, any of the many gm parts websites, gm dealer. gmpartsdirect.com seems to be a popular one. car-part.com is also popular for salvage ones. You will need a custom harness, to go a long with console. You can get that from a member here. His name is @pgamboa. Good luck hope you find what your looking for. Also check out these threads, if you haven't already.

    No the harness listed is the GM harness. You need a custom harness. It is available from a member here, his name is @pgamboa Just message him and he will hook you up. Here is a link to the plug and play harness page.

    I actually kept the stock Goodyears that were on my stock z71 wheels, only had 7,000 miles on them. Figured I could get a couple more years out of them. Saves some money, I have a few more things I want to do first. Now i am thinking i need to get rid of the chrome steps and go to black.

    Wouldn't say it's a Chevy thing. I've had 2 different k2's with 6 speeds and both have been flawless. Have never had any weird shifting, even when cold. My dad also has a 6 speed and he hasn't had any problems with his. My brother has an 6.2 with an 8 speed, he has had issues with harsh downshifting.

    I understand where you coming from, just don't think a dealer is going to help you with this. A lot of dealers will tell you it's not possible to do things, because it isn't supported by GM. My dealer told me it wasn't possible to put power fold mirrors on my LT Silverado. That is when I found this forum and with @pgamboa wiring harness, I now have power fold mirrors. If you are worried about buying from Phil, just read through his threads and see how many people are satisfied with him and his wiring harnesses. Good luck with whichever way you decide to go.
