  1. I usually watch most of the launches. Find it kind of interesting. The Covid test stuff is not a surprise. They are not 100% accurate. Ontop of that you can test positive for 90 days after getting it but only contagious for 14days. So a positive case now might really be a case 90 days ago. So is there a massive increase in cases now, or is it because the amount of testing has increased by 10X and catching people that have already had it. Its just going to become part of life just like the flu. A vaccine will be created but will have to get it every year like the flu shot. It won't be 100% and people will still get it. Over time our bodies will build up some immunity to help deal with it if you get it. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  2. Whats going on with the ammo and supplies also shows in my opinion to not just go with the norm, or diversify when owning firearms. Every store I have gone into in a few different cities I still see 10mm, 40, 44, and 357sig on shelves, but the stuff I consider normal is what is all gone. On another note I was lucky enough today to come across a brick of magnum pistol primers just sitting on the shelf at the hardware store. Then of course friends hit me up and gave them a 100 each. 3. I just go with a plow on the ATV for the main part of the drive. Then just drive on the rest of it multiple times with the truck and flatten out as much as possible. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  4. If there are any out of the way shops you know of check there. I find stuff at a local hardware store a lot of the times. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  5. Yep, like clock work. The same people telling Pfizer 5 weeks ago to hold off on asking for emergency use from the FDA for a few more months to collect more testing data on the vaccine, seems to have no problem with them putting in a request now. One good thing the election did was it some how made covid19 just not that bad of a thing anymore. It's like the fear mongering isn't need now. Atleast we can now get back to normal life. 6. You will hear about trimming both ways. I never trimmed, then I got into some competitive shooting, and some said to trim, and some said no real need to. So I did 500 none trimmed and 500 trimmed to exact specs. I ended up not shooting any more or any less accurate. Gave 100 of my none trimmed to a friend that shoots competitive and he shot no better or worse with my none trimmed and his trimmed loads. This is just like the chasing the lands, full length size everytime, bump the shoulder, or neck size only arguments that go on all the time. When it comes down to it, whatever helps with accuracy and what a person is comfortable with is the way they should do it.
  7. You say you never had a problem with a Ram and the your wife hasn't had a problem. I say ok. I also say I haven't seen or heard about people having a problem with their brakes. I have seen my 7 recall notices and problems for my Ram though. You even pointed out Rams 2018 brake problem. The point is people run into issues with there vehicles, and it's just the way it is. I am just curious what caused the problem with your brakes? I ask because its still under warranty.
  8. I would just fix the brakes. Not much work and not that expensive. If you are going to look at something else you might want to look at Ford or Toyota. The wife's 2020 Ram is the worst mistake I made. Been in 7 times for recalls. On top of those the constant uconnect problems which means no radio, no climate control, nothing. Then the dreaded data bus failure which just makes the vehicle pointless. Before even totally explaining the problem the dealer says they know what it is. So basically it comes down to choosing the best you can and go with what you get.
  9. Rifle especially for the 5.56 is just a little more time consuming especially for first time reloading. If you can just buy some 5.56 in bulk mainly for SHTF. Spend the time reloading on what you use for EDC. When it comes to bullets reload some self defense and some just for plinking. The hornady book as mentioned is good, but I would get the Lyman book also or individual bullet maker books because the Hornady book only talks about Hornady made bullets.
  10. Best thing to do is buy and reload all year long. Buy for longevity, reload for current use. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  11. Powder manufacturer sites like Hodgon has reloading data information. You need to get some reloading books and start reading. I would get Ken Waters Pet Loads book, Lyman reloading book, Lee reloading book, and you can look at getting one or a couple of bullet manufacturers reloading books. I know you say you got a reloading kit but there is more you will need, so you need to start getting everything together. Its my opinion, but you should start with reloading the handgun loads before the rifle ones. There is another problem you might run into and that's components. Brass, bullets and especially primers are more scarce these days. Learn and be safe. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  12. Trunk or treats work out great especially when weather is not the best. Plus some parents worry about safety. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  13. Halloween no different then any other year. Kids came to door, dropped some candy in bag and thats it. Most of the kids all hangout next to each other all day anyways so nothing to change just for trick or treating. I can say these days it would be great time to be a kid. 14. I guess I will stop being an ass and arguing. Still just going to live my life how I decide just like everyone should. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  15. It reminds of what a politician said the other day. You will be able to guess who said it. "I am not going to shut the country down, I am not going to shut the economy down, I will shut the virus down" Really, good luck with that. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  16. One of my favorite pastimes is watching cases go up in multiple areas but the amount hospitalized doesn't correlate. Its almost like majority will not have symptoms and if they do its like the sniffles, oh wait that is correct. How about majority of deaths is because of already having comorbidities. I also agree with a lot of the experts that say 50% of the entire US population has or have had the virus but will never know. Here's a joke "How bad can a virus be if the only way you know you have it is by getting tested just for the hell of it" Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  17. I wear seat belts, its for my protection.
  18. I hear you. Same in my area. People choosing and most just back to normal life. Obviously some places require masks because of a corporate decision. I like my freedom, my freedom to choose, my freedom to live how I see best. The reason this whole thing still has so many freaked out is because of media and the way the numbers and statistics are looked at. If the information was actually looked at by people then they would know its just not as terrifying as the media makes it out to be. Also the mask thing. Its for self protection to a point and that's it. The whole, (its to protect others), was just something they came up with to try and get everyone to wear it to protect themselves because they knew people wouldn't. So they tried to go with the whole, you might not care about yourself but atleast help others, with an outcome of them wearing a mask to actually protect themselves. Anyways, its good to hear you are making your choice to live life how you see fit. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  19. My suggestion is the same I have given others before. See where the connector can reach and look if anything is there. If the connector is taped up or secure and can only be pulled so far but there is nothing to connect it to, there is a good possibility it goes to nothing, and could be used for something your truck doesn't have equipped. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  20. Maybe its just me, but I don't spend time looking at my truck much from the front. Actually not from any angle. I just walk up to it and get in and drive. It's probably because I just don't give a crap enough since its a truck, and if its not something major and it does what a truck is suppose to do, I am good.
  21. I can say in my area its the opposite. Even in stores that say need a mask, like grocery stores,or Walmart, still not everyone wears a mask and it doesn't bother people. In bars and restaurants very few wear a mask or social distance. The ones that do are actually the outliers. At the same time though not many people care if someone is wearing one or not because its there choice to make. I think its all dependent on the area and information. When the data is always updated, all numbers are presented for people to see, and they see cases go up but no increase in hospitalization in the area, people think differently and way the risk. When all said and done people are choose to mask up and distance or not. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  22. Not true. Repair shops can as long as they have the proper authorization and equipment. Especially in areas like mine where there are not many dealers. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  23. It might. Its made for the 17s and later but it's been successfully programmed on late build date 16s. When talking to the dealer its all because of the BCM. I have not had a problem with 17s and later. It's probably why they came back and said no. You could see if you can find someone that can try and program it for you. 24. You are very sensitive. I didn't say anything about the science. I said mostly because you said we are all on winter which is not true. California changes winter to summer 1 April and summer to winter 31 Oct. Arizona and Texas doesn't have a 15 September change over. This goes back to my original asking if the OP was already on winter. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  25. Mostly correct but states that are more strict on air quality adjusts the dates. California and a few other extend the date on summer blend and have to use earlier because summer blend is cleaner and they want it used more. I never notice much change on mpg so its not really a concern. Also I never have to deal with ethanol in the gas. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
