  1. Some people say when they switch to winter blend gas the milage goes down. Are you on a winter blend now. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  2. You say it pairs right and you can play music and other stuff from the phone. Then it is a phone problem or app problem not a radio or mylink problem. The radio and the bluetooth it self doesn't know the difference between music and any other sound media the phone is outputting. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  3. A lot of reality to what you said. The not wife at the time bought a truck years ago with 70k on it. Fast forward a few years later to when I met her and there was 275k miles on it. When I asked her about oil changes and stuff she says never has done anything to the transmission and only had the oil changed twice. She said all she would do is check the stick every once in awhile and if it was low she would just dump some in till it got to the top line. That is it. Truck still running today. I say could be the fluid, or load, or just luck. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  4. You can treat it like any other winter and just not give a crap about Covid. That's how I do it. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  5. You can contact East Coast Gear Supply. They have been great to deal with. They will let you know what you need without you getting stuff you just don't need. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  6. You do realize that all the manufacturers have problems. I am always repairing the wife's 2017 Ford which she got when the new Ram she was test driving broke down when the engine just grenaded. I have had a few issues with my Chevy but I fix it just like I would have to do with any other brand of truck. They are all made as cheap as possible to make the most profit. 7. Do you not have any local lumber companies that provide it. If not, that sucks. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  8. I suggest stay away from E2, JLT, Moroso. We have had to deal with people having issues in extreme cold weather with those. Usually the people with these move to where I live with them installed. The one I use and we install on vehicles are Saikou Michi cans. Have not had issues with them even down to -60. 9. I think it more depends on location. I havent seen a aluminum shortage or any artificial sweetener shortage. All the same stuff on the shelves like before the virus crap, but also never had to deal with shortage of anything else like toilet paper or hand sanitizer and other stuff I read about. People where I live just didn't give a crap enough to run out and buy everything. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  10. Have you tried not using Google as your browser. Try it using DuckDuckGo and see what happens. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

  12. Forgot to mention. You know those high speed specially fitted N95 and N100 masks medical professionals where not only at work but also where out when they are made to. They have valves on the front of them to help expel the persons warm breath when they breath out and its not filtered. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  13. Yes I know, I was making a point. I have a specially fitted MERV-19 and a n100 mask. It also has a valve on the front of it to help expel the warm breath out.
  14. Quit paying attention to the stuff you read or hear from big sources. The spouse is a health professional, they where masks because is works both ways but mainly to protect themselves. Like I said most people wouldn't and didn't care thats why the caring about others crap was incorporated. It all boils down to none of this is actually that big a deal or that bad. Media and idiots created hysteria and panic over it. I mean its a lot of panic for a such a bad virus that 80% of people that get it won't even know, wow so scary. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  15. Wrong. The wearing mask for others protection is just some stupid thing thought up to control and get people to wear masks because they knew people wouldn't. They went with the emotional unselfish route to get people to wear one. If I am wearing a mask next to a person that is wearing one, and he is standing next to someone wearing one, then we all choose to protect ourselves. If I am wearing one and the person next to me isn't I protected myself because I choose to, and he made the adult decision not to, and accepted the risk. His protection is not my responsibility because of his own decision. See that's the problem these days and not just with the virus. People look at others to take care of them instead of taking care of themselves. If everyone would just take care of themselves if they can then everything would be so much better. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  16. I say adults can make the decision to go or not. People need to decide to risk it or not. It is the same thing as going to a grocery store. I also think people need to take care of themselves how they see fit. If someone wants to where a mask for protection, they can, if they dont want to they can choose not to.
  17. Just so you know I have never heard a single person till now regret a regear once the truck is lifted. I also have never heard of someone spending $4500 for it to be done. The most I have seen is $3000 or the parts for $1200 and do it yourself. Regearing actually brings the vehicle back closer to stock. When people bring a lifted truck into the dealership shop myself and the other mechanics make a comment about how we hope the owner was smart and got a regear especially if on 37s. Tunes won't really do anything to help because of the lift and larger tires, except getting the tire size tuned in. You can't actually tune away the negatives brought on by the lift and tire size. 20. As a project, a group of students asked me if they could do a test on 4 CAI. It was the AFE GT, Airraid MIT, K&N and some weird name cheap thing off Amazon. They tapped in a sensor a little before the TB to check flow and temps. There was definitely a flow increase compared to stock, with the MIT producing the least amount of increase. There was also only a 3% difference comparing the other 3 against each other. The K&N and other one did have some increased air temps detected. Now when the stock air filter was replaced with a higher flowing one, the MIT was even closer to the other three. Then they cut out the plate in the stock air box and the MIT was equal with the other three. So my opinion is that CAI systems are a complete waste of money. The stock box is just as good as any of the aftermarket ones, with a tiny mod that a 10yr old can do. The restriction mainly comes from the tube and filter. Change those out, quick mod, and save money. One last thing, the Amazon one was out of spec and didn't line up the best and took some forcing, so I would just stay away from those cheap never heard of ones. All my opinion Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  21. What I find interesting is that most people say they have a lot of metal shavings like this. Now every truck I get, I go straight from the dealer to home and change all fluids to Amsoil. Then when I change fluids at 50K & 100k I have very very minimal shavings. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  22. I recently got some off ebay to change them out on the wife's truck. A buddy went to the junk yard and pulled some. It was a risk but it worked out for him. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  23. Are you doing it for looks or not. If just for performance gains then the stock box is perfectly fine. Just get a better flowing filter and change the tube. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  24. That's what I have. The stock air box, better flowing filter, and the Airraid tube. It all just helps it breath better which is all that is needed. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  25. Believe what you want, but they can. I have watched it with my own eyes be entered into the system. I promise you a dealer can. They can do it, then go to another dealer 5 min later and it will come up in the system warranty voided. GM doesn't not have the time to deal with every warranty related issue for every dealer every minute of the day in the country. They give the dealer the latitude to do it. The dealer is suppose to be the honest broker, so GM is not paying for work done that they should not have to pay for. Now if the dealer outright voids it, it will usually get reviewed quickly, if they put the warranty on hold, then it can take weeks for GM to make a decision. A customer can complain to GM and if GM wants they can send a field rep out and see if it's legit. Remember it is always about money not only for the dealer but also GM. GM has extremely high priced lawyers to deal with stuff so if the customer takes the complaint far enough they are ready to go. The small shop I work with was once pulled into court for the plantiffs side, and I watched the lawyers chew up everything, even the Magnuson-Moss act when it was brought up. Needless to say the plantiff lost after six months, a lot of money, and warranty still voided. Now you posted the following in a previous post which I find interesting. Why would federal law say dealer can't void warranty except for two exceptions, if the dealer can't void a warranty no matter what, like you say. (Federal law precludes a dealer from voiding warranty just because of using aftermarket speed equipment, with only two exceptions: the warranty can be voided if the aftermarket part causes damage, or adversely affects the emissions or the emissions system. SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) reported that a trade association representing specialty automotive parts manufacturers, the following quotes have been extracted:) Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
