  1. Something as basic as bad gas can cause it. Could also be a bad injector or just bad connection to injector. If you can check and see misfire count. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  2. Even though its just throwing a #6 misfire it might be the head. #PIP5498: P050D P0300 Setting On A Cold Start A vehicle may have a problem of DTC P050D setting along with a P0300 after a cold start up. White smoke and/or coolant odor may come from exhaust for an extended period of time at cold start as well. Misfires on start up only, with high rates always on one cylinder, can be suspect for coolant entry at the liner to deck face casting or the casting line in the intake port of the cylinder head. 3. Personally I always stay away from the stop leak stuff. Now, I would definitely check the condenser for a leak and if you dont have the bracket installed on the line I would make sure you do not have a leak from there also.
  4. I didn't even know there was a problem that needed a fix. I have never had a problem and others I know that have lifts have never mentioned having issues. Hope you get it worked out.
  5. Mine has done it a few times. I could fix mine by using the my Chevrolet app and sending a navigation destination to the truck. It download what was sent and It would clear the red x and start working fine.
  6. I would just change the battery out since it is going bad. If that doesn't fix the problem then at least you know it isnt the battery, but either way the battery needs to be replaced.
  7. Northern interior Alaska. It was -43 outside a couple of days ago but no squeaks.
  8. You act like CST is invincible. I am sure it's the only lift you have ever had and it's on a truck that spends majority of it's time on pavement but It's just another man made product that can break like the rest of the lifts out there. Thats why I am not going to say whatever X company is the best because there isnt one. Hell CST should make engines, or entire vehicles, or actually they should make every product on the face of the planet so no one will ever have to deal with something breaking since CST products cant break I guess.
  9. Northern Alaska, you get use to it.
  10. Have have destroyed a CST lift on the truck. Welds just split and pulled apart. Come to find out it just couldn't hold up to -50 degree temp and being stressed. Have also destroyed a BDS and Fabtech. That's why I said any of them will suit the need unless your need is more. If so then need to go more custom. How is the truck being used. In my case 10% of the time pavement 50% mud and the rest unimproved back roads. If truck is on pavement and nice dirt roads most of the time most any of the lifts will do fine.
  11. Are you trying to decide on what to get or already decided. I say just get whatever from and good name brand company. They are going to suit your needs especially if it's on pavement or nice roads most of the time. Now if you are trying to accomplish something specific then go custom. Quality is subjective and there is no best because I have seen parts break and problems from majority of the companies out there. You are going to get a response saying X company is the best because most likely they have that one, a friend has that one or something. Just my opinion but most opinions are pointless.
  12. The problem you might run into if it's been tuned before is that dash tuners will recognize it has a tune on it already and it wont allow you to tune over it. It can say something like (non stock condition detected vehicle may have been programmed with competitive product). If that's the case you will have to tune it in a different way like HPTuners or Blackbear or something similar.
  13. The dealership is full of crap and can tell you if it has been tuned. I would bet it has been tuned because of the way you are describing the shifts, the speed, and the AFM. Now you mentioned re-gearing, well let's hope so, if not that just sucks, and if you tow that really sucks. A 6in lift on 35s and factory gears is just wrong and so much of the truck is lost. If there is one more thing you do to the truck let it be a re-gear if it has not been already and it you do 4.56 unless not ever or not much towing then 4.10 is ok.
  14. As you said you tuned Escalade to 1000 but that was because they modded the engine so it had to be tuned to get the benefit. A bone stock engine that people are not really putting on a dyno or adding to engine can get away with a handheld to do the simple stuff. I for one think people forget about doing stuff like they should before thinking about a tuner. For example someone that lifts a truck puts 35s on but doesnt regear to 4.56 but does do a tune is just dumb in my mind. To each their own.
  15. If your just wanting to do the basics then just get a hand held like diablo or a superchips. I believe there is no reason to spend money on others like HP or BB unless you are doing other stuff to the vehicle like forced injunction, changing gears, cam, meth, and other stuff. Most people will rarely utilize what the truck has stock.
  16. Basically preference. Some will say it's not good for the engine. On top of that I had no difference in MPG with it on.
  17. I have used Flashpaq, Dashpaq, Diablo and to be honest I find them not to good. For just a little bit more money Black Bear is the way to go. They have sent me multiple tunes till I got it exactly how I wanted it when towing and not towing. Either way turn off the AFM
  18. Not trying to be rude, but how did you not notice that before it got that bad especially the wet mildew mold smell.
  19. They can hook up to computer and figure out why the service stabilitrak come up and shouldn't make a difference if you have bigger tires or not for them to do the test. Second, I have 6in lift and 35s and it has never affected cost when it came to warranty work. Go to another dealer.
  20. No fun in that. Rather do it in the drive way garage door open watching NASCAR or hunting channel and drinking a beer, plus it is cheaper then going to the dealer or at least in my area. Doing my self $56, $48 for oil and filter $8 for the six pack. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  21. No problem. Squeaks and suspension noises are always the biggest pain to figure out. Since you will be doing the level and other stuff might as well look at the shock strut area people mentioned and see if that can be causing anything. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  22. Sorry don't have the one for energy suspension because I picked them up from a 4x4 shop. Now the ones i put on a friends truck recently where the Dorman 531-608 from summit racing, but I thought the bar is 36mm if I remember correctly. His has no squeak at all either when it hit -30 a few weeks ago. Lub with marine based Teflon grease Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  23. Energy Suspension bushings. I lifted the truck and got underneath it as friends pushed up and down on tires and that's where the noise was coming from on mine so changed them out and the sound has never come back. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  24. Check sway bar bushings. My 15 did this, thought it was coming from control arm shock/strut area, but it was actually the bushings. Changed them and no more squeak even when it hit -50 last year and -37 so far this year. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  25. Sway bar bushings. The oem ones are garbage. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
