  1. If you pulled a U0140 that is a communication fault with the BCM a U0164 would be HVAC. The U0140 can stop a vehicle from starting especially because of the anti theft. I would scan truck everyday for a few days. If you keep getting U0140 then you might be having a BCM problem. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  2. So what did the dealer say it wasnt communicating too. For instance, I had a no communication fault (U1556) but it was for the trailer brake module not communicating. This didnt stop the truck from being able to be driven. So I am curious what communication fault they found. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  3. I am not sure about it in the temps that you mentioned but I know when the temps are -25 and below if I turn the heat on before the needle gets to the middle it will never get to the middle during my 15mile drive to work. Also the heat is not as hot as it is when the gauge is in the middle. So I just wait till it gets to the middle to turn the heat on. Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk
  4. This is why I scan my own truck every month. Having a good scanner is a tool I suggest everyone have. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  5. Have the dealer take a look at the in tank fuel pump. I was there when they pulled my out and it was falling apart. Contaniments end up in the whole system and messes up injectors and high pressure fuel pump. Mine wasn't the first one to be like this they had to deal with. So now when injector is a problem it's the first part they check as part of diagnosing. My fuel pump, high pressure pump, rails, and injectors all replaced. My warranty covered it all. 6. That is about the right price for the dealership. At least they are saying they are all bad and not like a lot of people that had to keep going back and get couple done at a time. Since they are saying they are all bad see if they will look at the condition of the in tank fuel pump to see if it is falling apart and sending contaminates through the system. 7. It is not covered under the power train warranty and GM has already stated this. What GM has done and I think some people have received it like I did, was send out a letter that the truck might have faulty injectors and that part is being given an extended warranty to 150k miles. 8. His delearship is lazy. Troubleshooting procedures have been put out on exactly how to figure his issue out so I don't see why they haven't. I wonder if the dealer has even checked the head which GM has put out exactly how to do. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  9. Something as basic as bad gas can cause it. Could also be a bad injector or just bad connection to injector. If you can check and see misfire count. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  10. Even though its just throwing a #6 misfire it might be the head. #PIP5498: P050D P0300 Setting On A Cold Start A vehicle may have a problem of DTC P050D setting along with a P0300 after a cold start up. White smoke and/or coolant odor may come from exhaust for an extended period of time at cold start as well. Misfires on start up only, with high rates always on one cylinder, can be suspect for coolant entry at the liner to deck face casting or the casting line in the intake port of the cylinder head. 11. Personally I always stay away from the stop leak stuff. Now, I would definitely check the condenser for a leak and if you dont have the bracket installed on the line I would make sure you do not have a leak from there also.
  12. I didn't even know there was a problem that needed a fix. I have never had a problem and others I know that have lifts have never mentioned having issues. Hope you get it worked out.
  13. Mine has done it a few times. I could fix mine by using the my Chevrolet app and sending a navigation destination to the truck. It download what was sent and It would clear the red x and start working fine.
  14. I would just change the battery out since it is going bad. If that doesn't fix the problem then at least you know it isnt the battery, but either way the battery needs to be replaced.
  15. Northern interior Alaska. It was -43 outside a couple of days ago but no squeaks.
  16. The problem you might run into if it's been tuned before is that dash tuners will recognize it has a tune on it already and it wont allow you to tune over it. It can say something like (non stock condition detected vehicle may have been programmed with competitive product). If that's the case you will have to tune it in a different way like HPTuners or Blackbear or something similar.
  17. The dealership is full of crap and can tell you if it has been tuned. I would bet it has been tuned because of the way you are describing the shifts, the speed, and the AFM. Now you mentioned re-gearing, well let's hope so, if not that just sucks, and if you tow that really sucks. A 6in lift on 35s and factory gears is just wrong and so much of the truck is lost. If there is one more thing you do to the truck let it be a re-gear if it has not been already and it you do 4.56 unless not ever or not much towing then 4.10 is ok.
  18. As you said you tuned Escalade to 1000 but that was because they modded the engine so it had to be tuned to get the benefit. A bone stock engine that people are not really putting on a dyno or adding to engine can get away with a handheld to do the simple stuff. I for one think people forget about doing stuff like they should before thinking about a tuner. For example someone that lifts a truck puts 35s on but doesnt regear to 4.56 but does do a tune is just dumb in my mind. To each their own.
  19. If your just wanting to do the basics then just get a hand held like diablo or a superchips. I believe there is no reason to spend money on others like HP or BB unless you are doing other stuff to the vehicle like forced injunction, changing gears, cam, meth, and other stuff. Most people will rarely utilize what the truck has stock.
  20. Basically preference. Some will say it's not good for the engine. On top of that I had no difference in MPG with it on.
  21. I have used Flashpaq, Dashpaq, Diablo and to be honest I find them not to good. For just a little bit more money Black Bear is the way to go. They have sent me multiple tunes till I got it exactly how I wanted it when towing and not towing. Either way turn off the AFM
  22. Not trying to be rude, but how did you not notice that before it got that bad especially the wet mildew mold smell.
  23. They can hook up to computer and figure out why the service stabilitrak come up and shouldn't make a difference if you have bigger tires or not for them to do the test. Second, I have 6in lift and 35s and it has never affected cost when it came to warranty work. Go to another dealer.
  24. No fun in that. Rather do it in the drive way garage door open watching NASCAR or hunting channel and drinking a beer, plus it is cheaper then going to the dealer or at least in my area. Doing my self $56, $48 for oil and filter $8 for the six pack. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  25. No problem. Squeaks and suspension noises are always the biggest pain to figure out. Since you will be doing the level and other stuff might as well look at the shock strut area people mentioned and see if that can be causing anything. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
