  1. That just sucks. I am sure it was rough being hired then let go right away. All these people that want to work and will work hard just can't get anything. Hopefully it works out for her. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  2. Great to hear that the brother in-law was offered employment. With no more mask mandates and everything can open in the state hopefully more people are offered employment. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  3. Alot of freedom going on in Texas. I love when states treat their people like adults that can make decisions. Decisions that they are comfortable with. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  4. You didn't get anything off track and nothing to apologize for. I appreciate that you realize people have different thoughts and opinions and don't get all upset and run away scared from conversations. Certain individual is to weak emotionally and mentally to handle stuff like "words". Keep on saying what you want and giving your opinion. The smart people are ok with that. 5. That is true. The rate started to drop quick even though not many people had even gotten the vaccine yet and still not that many has gotten it. I see going back to normal is going to be left in the hands of the people. Officials to scared to make the decision. Lately I have seen more and more people not wearing there masks or social distancing when I am out and in stores. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  6. I know it not for everyone and don't see it as an age thing. I know 80 year olds that have no problem with it just like 25 year olds that do. I see it as only 3 things that could of been done. Everyone get together and not let the construction happen, move to a place that is quite and it won't happen, or just get used to it. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  7. "Visable act of caring" , not a fan. People can actually care ot not care, makes no difference to me. I see the visible act as fake. Like fake smiling, fake being friendly, or fake happiness. I look at this like the Flu and have from the beginning. The most that can happen is people get the vaccine and it brings the cases and deaths down to a certain level and that's it. Maybe just maybe burns itself out. Thousands still die from the flu every year even with the vaccine available. Covid will still get some people. If not covid it will be the next thing that comes along. People can panic and want to change living for the moment or just continue with normal living and accept the fact that it is the way life is and stuff happens. Everything now just needs to go back to normal living and move on. For myself I don't see the cons outweighing the pros or pros outweighing the cons with the vaccine. 8. Football has become full of cry babies. Boo hoo I got hit to hard. Boo hoo that shouldn't be allowed or I might get hurt. To many creature comfort rules. It would be like a fireman complaining about having to go into a burning building, police having to deal with dangers people, or the military having to go into combat and deal with the enemy. 9. I would actually enjoy the sound. Living close to artillery ranges and dealing with mortars for so much of my life I find the sound not bothersome at all. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  10. It is true warmth is coming. It's suppose to get to 0 degrees in the day tomorrow and only -12 at night. Going to be a good day. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  11. This isn't the first time it has gotten like this in Texas. The cold and snow weather used to happen more in the past then now. I never noticed a change in the roads out of the norm. I guess time will tell. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  12. That's interesting I would like to read some of the studies saying this. All the studies that have been released and peer reviewed says the vaccines may stop the transmission but they just not sure or how much. A few reserchers say that is why the focus shouldn't be on not spreading it, but should be on not getting the virus and is why everyone needs to get the vaccine. It's also why even if you get the vaccine, mask and distance protocols still need to be followed. The failure part of this, is all the money, research, and focus is going to prevention. What about medication to easily fight the virus if somebody gets it. Vaccine or not people are still going to get it. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  13. If you haven't flip the pill in the transline, then you need to. I wouldn't have flushed any thing and instead just changed the fluid and a new set of lines. Flush would have been my last step. Hopefully you get it worked out. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  14. I would flip the pill in the transline. Those 35s are not helping either unless you re-geared, which in my opinion every person should do going to 35s or larger. As already stated definitely add a fan. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  15. Did you try manual shifting it to see if it would shift. If not next time it happens try it and see what happens. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  16. I'm going to wait the vaccine out until it's proven to actually stop transmission. If it doesn't then no point for me to get it. I haven't gotten the virus yet and I doubt I will. If I do get it, then I get it, and will be fine, not worried. Plus now they are looking into making booster shots to help with effectiveness and the new strain. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  17. The parents are old so I made sure to cold proof the house. They have 2 generators, pellet stove, all water pipes/lines are wrapped with heating cables. They are also on well water. I did this a few years ago just in case Texas had the cold hit and now I am glad I did it. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  18. I see the biggest problem is keeping the power on. Multiple family members have houses in Texas, some built in the 70s and some new. None had a problem with anything. They also didn't have to rely on the state or city to keep the houses warm. This is why people need to have a backup plan for power and now it sounds like water. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  19. For me doing it by hand is part of my workout to stay in shape. Now when I get done I hurt and use a tube of aspercreme but it's worth it. Growing up in Texas I remember some snow and icy roads almost every year and some years got a lot. It has been a lot if years since it has happened like it is now so I see it as going towards what it was. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  20. Sure. You can basically tow with any tire you are running. The specifics are what is important, like weight, type of road and etc. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  21. I get information from different sources just none are news or media sources. For instance when in comes to Covid, I look at peer reviewed medical information with substantiated facts, information that is science only based, and talk to actually medical people with boots on the ground. Basically stay away from personal or emotional based information When it comes to politics I don't pay attention to what is said, only what is written and submitted in an actual bill or legislation. I don't need the actual media for any of this. Its all about research and facts, and not the maybe, probably, could, possibly, or the I think or it's my opinion. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  22. I go with, if you don't watch the news you are uninformed, if you do watch the news you are misinformed. This goes for all media. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  23. The hedge funds are actually not able to cover even 50%. Also because of what went on with the market because of GME it affected other hedge funds. Total so far they have lost $27 billion. Hedge funds even had to bailout other hedge funds. The only reason this became such a big media thing and issue is because the hedge funds got caught with their pants down. If many of the online brokers didn't help them out they would have gotten hammered even more. This will not be the last time this happens. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  24. It depends on how quick someone wants to make money and how much want to risk. Index is more slow money unless you put a lot into it. Stocks are fast and high money in comparison. With the whole Gamestop thing One of my sons friends used his entire savings. Spent 50k and walked away 10days later with 1.28mil. Not bad for a person in their 20s. Futures and options are the real meat. It really all comes down to the amount of money and time a person wants to risk. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
  25. You are correct. With this there are 2 types. There is the ones that looked at this and realized a lot of money can be made by buying quickly and selling quickly. Then the ones that bought and continued to buy to drive up price to just screw shorts and in this case hedge funds and prove a point. I like the whole thing and think it shows some serious issues within the market, wall street and the regulators. Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk
