  1. With 4" your are outside the limits of the stock shocks. Upgrade to ANYTHING that is right sized and you'll like the ride much better. Go with a nice set of Bilsteins or Fox and you will love the ride.
  2. "4 kits are a bad idea. No way around it. I've been doing lifts for 25 years. The major issues is the axle angles ... You need to drop the T case to get the angles back to flat/near flat. 2" you can get away with.
  3. I had similar issues with my '17. I had to document services and then contacted GM direct. The dealer was of no help. Took about 2 months dealing with GM but they bought the truck back. (put me in a new '18 for what I owed on the '17.).
  4. This is what the rest of the world sees. (and what every reputable manufacturer tells you to cut the studs)
  5. The studs are not touching the back of the rim on your rig? Are you sure?
  6. Audio is very choppy. The issue is the wifi. It appears to be 2.4 Ghz which is the same Freq. as bluetooth. WAY too much interference. My issue is... it turns down the ringer on my phone when I get in the truck. SUCKS. When I get out of the truck I need to remember to turn the ringer back up.
  7. Careful with the spacers... unless you go over 2" you will beed to cut your studs. Don't forget this step!
  8. The auto stop is causing people issues that role to a stop. The engine/computer feel you are crawling along and do not stop the engine. Try coming to a hard stop and staying on the brake. It should engage the auto stop. (of course this may not be your issue but many have used this and resolved.)
  9. Man... I hav run the Dura's for YEARS.. on 5 vehicles and well over 700K miles... now that Goodyear went to a (2) ply these tires SUCK! Drone like crazy... it is entirely a different tire.
  10. Your answer is flawed when it comes to the Trail Boss and AT4. They are already lifted 2" and have taken up a large amount of the engineered limits. the ball joint is then at an extreme angle. (why BDS and many other well known suspension manufacturers put HUGHE disclaimers out there regarding the UCAs. As for the axels... anything over 2"s is beyond the intended limits. The boots are stressed etc... A non TB/AT4 this does not apply to.
  11. B ut your axel angles will still be out of wack and the upper control arm is not happy (ball joint)
  12. The TB has the axels in the "grey area" already. (if you look they are not level). When you add 1.75-2" they are at the end of the "tolerance". When in auto mode the axel is at an aggressive angle and engaged. This heats up and causes issues. The Boots are brittle and thin as well. Tears have been known to happen. The real issue.. don't level. Either lift and drop T Case or leave it as it is. The OEM has 2" built in for tolerance. The TB (and AK4) are already at the 2".
  13. But, the OEM UCA are junk. The angles with the level are in the "grey" area and your axels are not happy either (in my opinion) The TB angles are already in grey area. (go look at them. Not level). You re adding another 1.75-2" of that angle and the ball joint is not happy either. You will have it apart, just do the UCA at the same time. don't pay for (2) alignments).
  14. DONT use the adjustable Bilsteins with a "spacer" (top or bottom) lift. Bilstein puts this in clear view everywhere. I tried, and the rider is WAY different. Now, if you use the regular replacement (life the 5100s) then you will be fine with the spacer kits. (but why??? Just get the adjustable)
  15. You need a DSP. The OEM radio has setting (can explain if you really want) that basically adjust audio levels for stock speakers. Lower bass at higher volumes etc... You need to "level set" the audio. The DSP will also make the audio come alive! You need a DSP. 16. I am going to do the BDS, what shop gave you this quote? What state are you in? Are you not adding the UCAs?
  17. *** and you will have a longer shock for the level/lift and the correct amount of travel. The shock will not be pushed to its limit.
  18. Yes. Yes they are. I get a new truck every 2 years/ish. 100K miles every 2 years. I've had very suspension GM offers... Ranchos (3) times. Once I left them because I was not aware of the Bilsteins. My last (2) trucks I swapped and LOVED them... About to do it to this this truck as well. Do it... Makes the truck feel more stable... you will still get articulation, but are you really going to off road the truck anyway? They are properly tuned.
  19. After you change over to the Bilsteins you will feel as if you bought a new (BETTER) truck.
  20. Go aftermarket. MANY options and $100-$200 for the full set. Plug and play.
  21. Damn it... Thanks for the reply...
  22. Will the front grill bowtie from a 2018 LT fit a 2021 TB LT? I love the centenial look of the 18 I had and want to bring it onto the blue 21. They look the same but don't want to order and find out they will not fit. Part #s for black do not match up... but that does not mean it is accurate info.
