  1. Twice... I had to take a mechanic for a ride the second time.
  2. I also have a 2017 and get the same banging or clunking as you. There are 3 TSB's for this well known issue. First one says to clean and lube the leafs, second one says to tighten the U bolts, third is replacement. I'm currently waiting for both sets of leaf springs to arrive for my truck that has the high mileage of 15k.
  3. If you are connected with a wire and using Android Auto, it automatically chooses Google. It's good to know that I can use the button and not have my phone tethered to the truck! And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  4. You have your phone connected and Android auto running? And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  5. I've been waiting for someone to try! I want to put it on my 17 Silverado lol
  6. There are several threads for the "cargo on with reverse" diode mod. Just put the diode in as shown under the dash, and you are golden! The lights, including bed lights will even come on when you hit the unlock button on your key fob. And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  7. You may want to double check, but I believe as soon as you shift out of park or neutral, your cargos shut off. I tried finding a work around but it was too much work. And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  8. I was taught how to tap into wires by an old mechanic when I worked in a garage as a mechanic. This method is full proof. Use your wire strippers and cut the sheath where you plan to tap in. Do it as if you plan to strip the wire, but you obviously can't strip it. Make 3 or 4 similar cuts all within about a 1/4 inch. Doing this allows you to expose a small section of the wire. Next you use a pointed tool, I use a pick, and make and eye through the middle of the exposed piece of wire. Now take the wire you plan to attach to it, and strip about 3 inches off the end. Feed it all the way through the hole, and wrap it up and around it's self, then wrap the rest around the wire you tapped into. Tape it down in the direction of the wire, and tape a few inches passed in each direction. And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  9. Then put the diode in under the dash and you will control the bed lights with your key fob, and all reverse/cargo lights will come on when in reverse. And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  10. If you are trying to tap into the reverse lights, use the center wire on the trailer light connector next to the license plate. That's where I tapped into my reverse lights for my light bar on the back of my truck. And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  11. I'm going to ask my dealer about this on my next oil change! And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  12. Hey, if you like paying for shit, that's your prerogative! If you don't want to see logical complaints, don't click on the thread! Your opinion is no more accurate then anyone else's! If you don't like it, go pound salt! And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  13. TBH, I'm not sure. But it happened immediately, and the only thing that made sense was the loss of connection. I didn't turn the key on with it disconnected, but I didn't disconnect the battery either. And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  14. Here's the pic I posted in the other thread. And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  15. It caused an error on startup and actually disabled all dive assist systems. I can't remember exactly what it said but I posted a pic of it on another thread. If I can find it, I'll put it in this thread. As far as I know, the only driver assist systems I have are the down hill breaking and the start assist when pulling away from a red light on a hill. If you have lane drift warning or the stopped vehicle assist, the situation would be more noticeable. Also, it's pretty flat where I live... But if I still lived in the land of the hills, aka Pennsylvania, then the hill start assist would have been more noticeable. And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  16. Diodes are most definitely directional. Pay attention to how mine is inserted, and for the love of God, don't unplug the clips to make seating the diode easier! I made that mistake and needed a trip to my dealer to get my BCM reprogrammed. When testing, start the engine, shift into reverse, look at cargo button. It will light up. The engine needs to actually be running, and to test with the key fob, you have to wait for it to get dark, or cover your light sensor on your dash. And as always... Enjoy your ride! 17. The dealer told me it was 1.5 to level and if I wanted it to ride at the 2500 height, it would be 2.5 in the front, 1.5 in the back. And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  18. Sorry for the long response time but I'm on vacation. This is the one you want. The other one will work according to the company, but you will have to cut one of the tabs off with a razor knife. They looked it up and gave me that info in case the one ever ended up on back order. Let me know if you need further clarification! And as always... Enjoy your ride! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  19. I just use Android auto and say "ok Google". No need for any ptt button Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  20. Also, make sure you go with red if you want the bar to match your lights. Its all about preference, but our trucks have red turn signals on the back. I went with red so it matches. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  21. I have the same bar, get the adapter! It makes the install cleaner, easier, and it's cheap! Just make sure you order the adapter with the 4 pins and the bar will plug right it! Tap the reverse wire into the center wire in the tow harness. I tapped into the center wire on the adapter to keep my factory wires in tact. Then buy the LEDs for your reverse and cargo lights. I chose some on Amazon that were 5.00 per bulb. My coworker paid like 25.00 per bulb elsewhere. Guess what? You can't tell the difference! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  22. S8 plus works... Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  23. I'm not sure, there might be either too much space or not enough? If the part with the sticker was smaller, that lip might hold the phone in place? Otherwise, is that space enough to cause the charger to stop working? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  24. I'm going to try to come up with something that can sit in the tray with the phone. Something to keep it in place Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  25. For me, our S8's need to be pushed as far towards the back seat, as the tray will allow. If I drive down a steep hill, or stop quickly, the phone slides forward a little, and stops charging. You have to wait 3 to 5 seconds before putting it back on the charger. Make sure that's not your issue. Whenever I'm stopping, I rest my hand or elbow on the front of the tray so my phone can't move.
