  1. Did some yard work last weekend. Borrowed my friend’s trailer just to make it easier on unloading. Havnt had a trailer hooked up to this truck in years!!!!! Also first time towing something with a trailer brake! It’s prettttty nice!
  2. I never got around to adding a line lock but if you’re going to add it, add them closest to the calipers as you can and don’t cheap out on the solenoid and relays. GL
  3. Frankenstein heads, Holley hi ram big Nick William TB LT headers and good flowing exhaust setup and E85.
  4. Washed and took it out to a local car show/meet. And sold the “drag pack”
  5. Running the switch setup from “tuningbyshane”. I hit the switch right before I started to record.
  6. Looks like the highest one they have is a 174. I’m not sure what the threshold is for the ecu to not throw a CEL. My 160 keeps my coolant temp right at 160-165 even on a hot day as long as the truck is somewhat moving. That would definitely throw a CEL if it wasn’t tune for it.
  7. Regular coolant is fine. I would suggest replacing the thermostat while you’re there. Either another factory AcDelco one or one from Katech. Nothing else. If you do get one from Katech, get the warmer opening one or else it might throw a CEL.
  8. All plug and play.
  9. C6Z front calipers. CTSVbrakeswap’s bracket. This setup will require you to run 20” wheels minimum tho.
  10. I’m running a Mishimoto radiator and Katech Tstat. I love it. No more overheating in 110+ day + towing up the hills. It is a lil bit thicker than the factory one just a heads up.
  11. Threw the thicky Mickeys on for a car show. Ride sooooo smooth!!!!
  12. What’s the goal? What’s the main purpose of the truck? Hi ram will move your powerband wayyyyy up. You’ll lose your low end TQ. You’ll need to run a looser stall with the hi ram.
  13. Got around to using the truck to haul my bikes to the track yesterday! Probably the coldest temp my truck have seen! 36 degree ambient temp. Snap couple golden hour pics on the way home.
  14. What was the problem with the Lt4 TB? Idle? Part throttle? WOT?
  15. P/N 84347903. It’s a 215 amp from cars with LT4. It’s slightly bigger but still fit and work. No personal experience with it but I’ve seen other people use them.
  16. Took out my CF hood and put the stock one back on today. It’s been “cold” and sprinkling here in SoCal. No need for all the vents.
  17. You’ll be needing a stronger in tank pump. Something like a single 535 or dual 450. Depends on HP goal.
  18. Did you changed the intake pipe also? If you did and the ID is different, you’ll need a new tune. The TB alone shouldn’t be too much of a difference.
  19. Whatever kit you get make sure you AT LEAST get a caddy lifter if not Johnson. and like Cam said, get new converter. Either something aftermarket or a new one from CTSV (6L90). I woulda also suggest getting an additional trans cooler. Something like a trucool 40K. Add it AFTER the factory trans cooler. Bigger cam and looser stall will create more heat.
  20. Mishimoto radiator. You can also get it tuned and have the fan kick on a lot sooner.
  21. Been like 2 months since I drove it. Forgot it’s got E85 in the tank so filled it up with some premium and just went for a cruise.
  22. Oh it’s not bad at all! As long as you don’t mind stopping at the gas station and tire store a lot more often. I would save a lil more for the PI and just run the stock HPFP pump & injectors. That’ll give you a lot more room to grow down the road. LT4 max out really fast when you’re on E.
  23. I miss those MPG!!!!!!! Goner the days!
  24. Why did you ditch the factory fans? I would put those back. If the aftermarket radiator (some legit upgrades like Mishimoto) is not enough to keep the truck cool, something is wrong. what kind of radiator did you get?
  25. The trans fluid is not getting “cooled” by engine’s coolant. It looks like it but nope. If you look carefully, the radiator and the trans cooler is together in one piece but there is a separation between the two. So the trans fluid is being air cooled. Yes some heat will transfer between the two since it’s somewhat connected. So by having a lower temp thermostat or being bypass, that will dictate where you trans temp will usually be.
