  1. Haha, yup. If not for highschoolers I would never find technicians. I have gotten a few fresh out of trade school only to find out they wasted some money's. Had one fresh out of school that was unable to change a belt. If the shop does have a knowledgeable tech, you can bet he ain't doing tires.
  2. GM found it a lot more economical to design a 4 cyl engine for fuel mileage. Made a lot more sense than creating a cold air intake. I read what the guy said, they spent hundreds of hours testing this, GM can't afford to be wasting time in engineering. The bean counters said "NO" sarcasm
  3. What is the CFM rating of the Cold air intake? Will it exceed the CFM rating on the Throttle body? If so would a performance throttle body be available to take full advantage of the cold air intake?
  4. May want to also consider Re-Gearing as you are getting bigger tires and will soon start wanting more power on the bottom end.
  5. Received the correct head bolts from Summit today. Made some progress and should have complete tomorrow.
  6. Very nice, good way to really beef it up.
  7. Every 3k miles after warranty. Prior to that dealer did all the oil changes. 160k miles on engine. AFM has been off since 100k due to miss fires caused by sticking lifter. Never received the oil deflector on the oil pan and had no oil consumption issues. Currently at a stand still as I got the wrong head bolts.
  8. Started on my AFM delete.
  9. Rough Country has a wheel liner option that would extend the life on the rear. Not bad for $99 Rough Country
  10. They always look so nice with fresh paint. I need to drop mine an repaint them as the last few years are starting to show.
  11. Test it for power, it may not go to anything. Could have been for another option or something your not equipped with.
  12. 3 Year 36K? Because that is how far they feel the truck can run without issues. Make sure you purchase extended warranty because that is needed on anything new. Also, if you took a photo please post it or else why else bring it up. Photos are the best. I'm am sure they cleaned it up before installing the new parts, sometimes engine work can get messy.
  13. Got to love new parts. Nicely done.
  14. I have a couple, All located in the gallery. I'll attach a link below. Gallery Link
  15. If you loosen the 2 bolts holding the master cylinder to the brake booster dose the issue get better? I have seen the adjustable head on the inside need adjusting. sometimes it will hold pressure on the master Cylinder and hold the brakes on. Not sure what cause them to become out of adjustment, but that little head can be adjusted.
  16. But how can you resist a new panel with savings like this? I guess maybe had they sold more trucks it would have been justifiable to make a permanent fix, but at $45K for a truck they don't leave much room for profit. After all they have to fix the cracking dash and AFM issue as it is priority. O wait! they never resolved that issue. Freaking highway robbery
  17. Installed the condenser on the front. Next will be installing A/C lines and charging. Baby steps on this project.
  18. Changed the oil, greased the front end, cleaned the AEM air filter, washed the truck. Ready for some more windshield time.
  19. Diagnosed my oil pressure gauge that freaked out on me today. Picked up replacement parts and will repair the issue this evening. It was also cold so My tires were a little low on pressure. Resolved that as well.
  20. That is a cool car, I remember the first time I rebuilt a North star engine. I thought it was so advanced and awesome. Still a fun car to drive around and you get a lot of accessories for the price. You have me thinking that that car would be a good track car if gutted. Hmmm
  21. Didn't know this was an option yet! I'll get a bottle and try it out. Spay on is just to easy compared to my normal process of waxing. Thankx for the tip.
