  1. I just took mine in for the Brake Module recall. I was notified that the rear window is leaking (it was raining outside during this service call). I was told that the glasswork is under warranty, but a glass shop would come in and do the actual re-sealing of the window. I haven't noticed it leaking, but haven't been look for it either. The truck is washed at an autowash 3-4 times a month. I'm glad it's being replaced, and not quite so surprised due to the activity on this subject. I'm just surprised that the dealership isn't actually doing the work. The Service Advisor did tell me there was a sealant issue at the time the truck was built, so apparently, this is the reason for the leakage.
  2. tlaw91, your instructions were perfect. The unit powers up great!! Thanks again.
  3. tlaw91 THANK YOU for the excellent response! I'm going to use a BlendMount MTX -1015 tap kit. Just out of curiosity, is the big plug on the right a collision camera of some sort? Also, IF I wanted to install a Gen5DIY Plug n Play, is it the middle plug that would be used, and is there a button somewhere to release it from its female counterpart? Thanks again for the information, I do appreciate it. Scott
  4. I need some help. I have a 2020 Canyon Denali, and want to tap the mirror for power to a radar detector that I plan to mount via a BlendMount. I bought the MirrorTap from BlendMount, but am unsure of what plug to tap. I tried unplugging the middle plug in the picture below, but after tugging for a bit, I gave up as I didn't want to damage anything. Is the middle plug the one I would use to tap, even if I sprung for the Gen5DIY harness? Is there a button that needs to be pressed to separate the plug? Is the middle plug the right one to do this? Thanks all for any help you can provide.
  5. I don't have a solution, but a suggestion. Have your friend flip the rear seat backs down, then drive around and see if the squeak is still heard. If not, then the connection points of the seat are the culprit. If it still squeaks try raising the rear seat bottoms and doing the same test. If neither of these changes affect the outcome, then it may be something external.
  6. Thanks guys, this makes sense, and what I'm experiencing. Thanks for the verification and information.
  7. On my 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali I have the heated and cool seat option marked on (green) for Remote Start. However, I've noticed the heated seat does not come on when I remote start the truck. After getting in the running truck, and pushing the start button, the heated seat button has to be pushed to get the seats to warm up. What am I missing or doing wrong with this option? I'd love to have the seat and steering wheel activated when I approach the truck in these cold MN climates. Thanks for anything you can share.
  8. Some good info here. At what mileage should the first service (oil/filters etc.) be at? My mileage minder got messed up, and the reminder sticker the dealer put on my windshield says 5000 miles, yet the manual has something about 7500 for first service. What is the correct mileage that will keep the warranty intact? Scott
  9. I've had that too. I tried unplugging the phone and the plugging it in again. That seemed to fix it. Scott
  10. Sorry, I meant to type 805 when I started the thread, but must've slipped.
  11. Yesterday my 2019 GMC Sierra Denali asked if I wanted to update to version 809. I allowed it and it did the download and update in about 10 minutes. I don't see a difference though. Any idea on what changed, and is there documentation to outline this change? Thanks, Scott
  12. I installed mine a few weeks ago. The truck sits at the airport from time to time for days on end. NO issues when I've returned. I got the unit just after the recall, so I'm assuming I have the updated version. As far as installation is concerned, I had a 1 month old truck at the time (now 2 month old) and started ripping into it. Scary yes, but I've taken apart my Gold Wing motorcycle a few times, so I was aware of how much pressure might be required to get panels to pop. The video was invaluable, and without it, I would not have attempted on an expensive vehicle. It took me about 1 hour start to finish, but that was with me running upstairs to my computer with its large screen to look at the video as I went through the process. Also, I'm VERY careful when it comes to disassembling anything I haven't done before. The installation I experienced was an exact match to the video, except my panels were a little harder to pop since it was brand new. I am very glad I did this installation, as it is so much nicer to not have to hit the damn autostop button every time I get in the truck. Scott 2019 GMC Sierra Denali
  13. This is showing unavailable. Try this product, it works well on my 2019 Denali, at least in the city. https://www.amazon.com/RONIN-FACTORY-Silverado-Anti-Theft-Replacement/dp/B079KXLF57/ref=sr_1_4?crid=279ZJ41WB85OZ&keywords=ronin+antenna+gmc+sierra&qid=1558370409&s=gateway&sprefix=ronin+ant%2Caps%2C168&sr=8-4
  14. Sierra Denali only opens too. I guess GM figures the Multi-Pro gate is enough of a tailgate feature, they didn't need to add Close on it. Scott
