  1. Anxious to see the grill, didn't know they had one like that, might consider it on mine. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  2. There aren't a whole lot of options. He can either buy an external cd player and plug it in with an aux cable or something or he can transfer to a usb or flash drive or phone, that's really it. Personally, the best option, in my opinion would be to either transfer to a phone or a larger flash drive. When you rip your cds on to a computer most programs will have settings to keep the larger sound files for better quality rather than compressing to a smaller file. If you have a good sized flash drive you can keep the cd quality sound and store a lot of your cds in a much more convenient package. But yeah, cds are basically antiquated these days, haven't seen any new model vehicles with them as even an option anymore. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  3. Mine has push button start and screen will go black even if I dont have a phone connected or playing. It can happen with it on bluetooth or plugged in for android auto and happens pretty randomly. There are lots of little electrical gremlins with this infotainment which is probably why GM has no real idea how to fix it. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  4. There is no magnetic ride suspension anymore, it's just an adaptive suspension now, which still works well. Other differences are mostly cosmetic, but the denali has the retractable running boards. The leather also has a different grain to it. It just depends what you are looking for. The denali handles better and actually corners really well for a truck, the at4 suspension is really good too, but you do lose a little bit of the handling on it. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  5. The vibrating thing drives me nuts. I can feel the edge of it around my back pocket like you said. A lot of people like firm seats, it is subjective, but these are, in my opinion, ridiculously firm. I dont like the bolsters on the cushion either, they are rock hard and I think they are what are causing my feet to start going numb after a while. Now I drive a lot daily, minimum of about 160 miles up to a out 300. If I didnt have to drive that much I could probably tolerate it, but as it is, at the end of the day my butt hurts and my toes are numb by the time I get home. If I try to change my position on the seat to get more comfortable, then I'm dealing with the vibrating mechanism poking at me more or the bolsters digging into my legs more. They really are, to me, the most uncomfortable seats I've had in the dozen or so vehicles I've owned. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  6. Going to guess they probably dont want all the chrome from the Denali, the at4, has most of the same features as options. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  7. I've had tons of problems with my infotainment, unfortunately they are very random and cant get anything done about it I would start looking into lemon law, but not sure what the criteria are for these systems. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  8. Mine had an oil leak, it started about 4900 miles after my first oil change so was about to get a oil change anyway, they said that somehow the filter came loose. Not sure if it was a problem with the filter or the truck, but you might check that first. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  9. Mine does this too, goes away after about 20 seconds, would like to know if anyone figures it out. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  10. I've had all the recalls done and mine still blacks out. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  11. With one issue I had with mine (not the same issue), it fixed itself after I left it overnight, not sure why, but restarting it when the error happened did nothing. If it isn't fixed after a few hours or the next morning, probably need to take it to the dealer. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  12. This is true, but in general, Toyota's have way fewer problems, that's why people buy them. Personally, I would go for a tundra myself, if they weren't just so outdated, they needed to be redesigned years ago and still have another year or two for a new version. 13. I've had tons of problems with the gm one in my sierra, goes black, changes volume, plays multiple sources at the same time and wont let me change anything. There are problems with uconnect for sure, but probably not any worse than the gm/chevy. Honestly I think its just luck if you get one from either company that actually works right. 14. Mine does that with music and I also listen to audio books on audible. When I get a text about half the time it will skip back about ten minutes. It also randomly changes the volume of anything I'm listening to over bluetooth. Buggiest infotainment system I've had in a vehicle, even more so than my ford touch was when I had that back in the day. I've taken it to the dealer for the infotainment issues, but they happen so randomly they haven't been able to do anything about it. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  15. He doesn't have to trade it in at that dealer. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  16. I would check your states lemon laws, good chance you qualify at this point. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  17. My infotainment went out for almost a whole day with a different issue. After I let it sit overnight it was working fine in the morning. These are the worst kind of problems since you cant duplicate it at will. I hope they do some more software updates to fix this, the system seems pretty buggy. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  18. This just started happening to mine this week, adding to the long list of issues I've had with it. It mostly happens soon after I've started the truck, camera will work then screen goes black, sometimes radio will come on, sometimes not. It has fixed itself everytime, but sometimes will take less than a minute other times 10-15 minutes and twice after restarting the truck. Better than when it was playing music from my phone and the radio at the same time and was unable to change anything, but I'd like to go more than 2 weeks without having some sort of problem with this truck.
  19. The noise I'm hearing only occurs while pressing on the gas pedal, even mild acceleration, it doesn't matter road conditions. I know it does it even if it isn't engaging the front wheels, that is why I'm confused about it. If it happened all the time or only when there was wheel slippage, I'd chalk it up to being normal for the mode, but it is only in acceleration, even if extremely mild acceleration on road conditions that wont cause slippage. I drive in 2wd about 99% of the time, just want to make sure the other modes are working properly for the occassions I do actually need them.
  20. So when vehicle is in 4wd auto, whenever accelerating there is a strange kind of mechanical whirring/whistling noise, it disappears a soon as I stop accelerating. It does not make this noise in 2wd. Was told that it was normal for being in 4wd auto and basically I shouldnt be driving in that mode for any extended period of time. I was in it because of bad weather, and it was my understanding it would be more like another vehicles awd system. Has anyone heard this noise in this mode? It definitely doesn't sound normal to me. And what is the point of auto mode if you aren't supposed to use it any differently from 4wd high? I was told manual said not to leave it in auto, but it only says that about 4wd high.
  21. People complaining because their brand new trucks repeatedly have problems that are largely unable to be fixed isn't whining. People are stuck with basically 2 options, live with the constant problems or sell the truck for a huge loss, not good options. Lemon law can come in to play in some circumstances, but not often enough. You say they need to fix it and move on, well that isn't an option for a lot of people dealing with these trucks. Glad your 8 year old vehicle is still working well, the newer ones have a lot of problems. Also, if you are tired of people "whining", then you should probably avoid the troubleshooting forums.
  22. I've had lots of issues with mine. It's at the dealer for a massive oil leak right now, which is my 6th or 7th trip there in the 3 months I've had it. At least I have a good dealership, but with part shortages they said it could be up to 2 weeks to get the problem fixed. Like the truck, just never had so many different issues this soon on a new vehicle.
  23. Mine has a new oil leak on it now, huge puddle on my driveway as of yesterday, so about to make trip 7 (I think) in the 3 months I have owned it. Never had this many different issues on a brand new truck. Ford was still worse so, that left me stranded, hoping this one won't do that.
  24. Mine does this intermittently since the last update on my android except it changes every time I get in the car, sometimes will be normal volumes others turned all the way down. Wont let me adjust the volume settings on my phone sometimes when it foes this also, very annoying.
