  1. Was there ever a general consensus on whether this happens to both the solid glass windows and the ones with the slider? Or is it mainly the ones with the slider?
  2. The part that is curious to me is that there are hundreds of thousands of these trucks on the road at this point. If it was a purely software issue, and they all have the same software loaded, then I would think way more people would have issues with this, but there are people with thousands of miles on theirs with no issues.
  3. I’m a taller guy and I find that the Custom trim level seats without the lumbar adjustment don’t provide enough support for longer trips. I bought a lumbar pillow thing and, although it’s better than nothing, it still doesn’t feel that great. I’ve been eyeing the wet okole seat covers with the option for the inflatable lumbar support that you can adjust the firmness and position of. Has anyone else had to add lumbar support to feel comfortable?
  4. For those that have had the brake failure, how does it manifest exactly? Does it give out right when you press the brake pedal? Or does it happen mid way through trying to stop?
  5. You still have the mechanical push through on the brakes. Not power assisted obviously at that point but it’s still there.
  6. I’ve been curious what the percentage of trucks with this happening actually is. I have a feeling it’s either really a lot of them due to a design flaw, or a very small amount whose owners all end up here to talk about it.
  7. Tried this out yesterday and really had a hard time noticing any difference. Trying to figure out the next best step for another notch up In volume while avoiding drone or helicopter noises.
  8. The brake recall seems to say it addresses an issue where you might not get an appropriate warning with a loss of ABS etc, but it doesn’t really say it addresses the actual power brake failures people have been having.
  9. The one time mine went black, it did the same exact thing. Literally same thing, open door and it flicked on for a second then back to black, backup camera worked but no grid lines. I took mine in but they didn’t do anything because it didn’t have issues while they had it. Only thing that has reliably fixed it for me is turning the truck off for more than 2 full minutes. Although it only the did the black screen thing once, the rest of the times were just the touch screen not responding to touch. I’m pretty convinced it can’t be a loose connection because like you said it never happens while driving, once it’s working it continues to work. It’s only on start up that the dice is rolled to see if it works.
  10. I had this happen 5 times in the second week of owning mine. Since then, it hasn’t happened for 2 weeks straight. No idea why though.
  11. Googling that recall number brings up the 2014-2018 Silverado brake recall, nothing to do with 2019/20 trucks. So either your dealer is confused, or I am, or both?
  12. So if this continues to be a problem after multiple repair attempts (as it seems to be for most people), is it likely to qualify for a lemon law buy back or is the screen not a serious enough issue for them to consider that? Also, I know this is for a 2017, but has anyone tried this tip from this video?
  13. This is a bummer to read. 750 miles on mine so far and no brake issues (knock on wood), hopefully stays that way. So far many people seem to have had it at slow speeds, but are there documented cases of it happening at high speeds too? And is the general consensus that it's a strictly electrical issue, or is a mechanical failure suspected too? I had read on another thread of some recall to update the brake booster programming, presumably that isn't fixing the issue for those that have it?
