  1. I don't have an integrated brake controller or two-speed transfer case so I doubt that qualifies me for the tow package (not sure what the difference is between tow package and max trailering package.) However I did request a build sheet from General Motors and it is listed that I have "KC4 Engine Oil Cooling System" and "KNP Transmission Oil Cooler." I also have "Z82 Trailering Equipment Package." G80 rear locker with 3.08 gear ratio.
  2. The 158' kit is worthwhile. If you're like me you can sell your original setup for $40-$50 and be into the new thermostat for only around $20 If someone is going to tap and drill the old housing for a plug I'd rather have a spare on hand just in case something cracks or gets damaged in the process rather than being out of a vehicle for god knows how long. That's the value in the old units.
  3. The 2019 isn't much more "electronic" than your 2016 was. Just upgrades. You can also disable the auto start/stop with a variety of methods involving programming OR a custom jumper harness for the switch.
  4. You'll never dry it out if all you do is vacuum it out from the top side. Proof is in my experience!
  5. My 2019 Yukon had what I was told to be a defective urethane seal on the windshield from the factory. Water dripping in on passenger side glass and a-pillar. Retards fixed the issue by removing and re-installing the glass but never took care of the SOAKED carpet and insulation. I had to do that myself.
  6. GM-Trucks' email notifications do not work so if he doesn't view regularly he won't be alerted to replies.
  7. For the future, consider using Pirate Ship. Very easy to print labels at home and get a discount too.
  8. Is VLOM screen cleaning basic maintenance?
  9. In the attorneys defense, while yes, all attorneys would be better off wearing concrete shoes at the bottom of some substantial body of water, wading through the court swamps isn't easy work.
  10. Sounds like some drunk retards performed that job.
  11. They also count the plastic shield as a "skid plate." Skid plate against frogs I suppose.
  12. I prefer to do it myself. Only had the dealer do it to take advantage of the General Motors "we're sorry" voucher. Anyway that $99 I feel was ON SALE actually. I recall seeing a NORMAL price of around $120? This was back in March.
  13. $99 at my local dealer for "Synthetic" 8 quart oil change with filter. The only reason I know this is that I used a $200 service voucher from GM Corporate after all of my issues I experienced with my Yukon in 2020. Better than wasting the entire voucher I suppose.
  14. Check the ground wire beneath the wheel liner, behind the passenger side front wheel. Remove the bolt from the frame and clean the contact area. Secondly, check the HOT wire connection that connects from the battery to the main fuse/relay box under the hood above the driver side front wheel well.
  15. It might be an a n a l thing to worry about, sure, but here's a "Bob is the oil guy" topic dating back to 2009 about the subject. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/prefilling-oil-filters-not-good.114428/ Think about all of the other a n a l-esque topics that get discussed here. If it's not necessary to pre-fill I'm no longer going to worry about it, personally. Once again the 50,000 other users here have mileage that may vary.
  16. Manual calls for 8 quarts, no one ever had an issue with an over-filled condition by doing so.
  17. The 'ol poop in the amazon box porch pirate surprise.
  18. The claim is that a particle that is introduced through the filling of the oil filter can get by and go straight to the crank bearings. If you don't pre-fill the filter, any oil from the pan will have to first circulate through the filter which will not allow any contamination to reach the crank bearings.
  19. No cruise control that means. I'm not sure what you're trying to convey with that last part.
  20. I'd reset it if it was less than 5,000-7,000 miles on synthetic oil, or at least 3,000-4,000 on conventional oil. My practice anyways.
  21. I've pre-filled some filters that hang upside down in the past but have since learned that the practice is a horrible idea for potential contamination.
  22. Put in 1 more quart and see how you fare. More oil never hurt so as long as you are in the correct zone. I assume the V6 oil pan is less deep than the 5.3 pan? Hopefully your dipstick hasn't been replaced with the incorrect part number, either.
  23. I've never used this, however I recently saw a video review of it a few weeks back and I remembered it.
