I replaced all 4 tires at my expense with new cooper xlt and it magically disappeared. Smooth as butter now. Sold the take offs to tire shop for $400. May want to go this route. Also check all 4 corners ground to fender. These trucks are not level in any way side to side.

Does anyone hear static at idle with radio off and air off? Sounds like noise coming from the speaker or behind instrument cluster. Even changes/increases with engine rpm until it stops when rpm is up around 2k. Sounds like speaker static up on the dash. Can hear it at stop light or in driveway.

Correct. Any 1080 camera would work. The cameras gm is using are nothing special. I’ve spoke with a few camera companies that are currently working on addressing an aftermarket option. The issue is gm was on top of the issue and designed a proprietary connector with amohenol and are difficult to get. I’ve contacted a few distributors and am still waiting on a response back. Made to order part. I also refuse to spend $400 on a $25 camera that doesn’t have IR ability. Here’s a picture of connector and link for some more reading

You can use any 433mhz tpms sensors. eBay always has them if you search 433 sensors. the issue right now with the HD cameras that we are unable to locate the end connectors. I’ve had several emails back and fourth and have located the the part number but they are only made to order parts. Here’s info I got for connector ends for a guy that pulled them out. P/N 031-6802

Best advice I can give you is to thoroughly read this TN https://gm-techlink.com/?p=11176 It's very important to confirm you are below the total 30amp overall load. These trucks have a very finite allowance. Typically having all LED lights proves to be the best. Since you are experiencing issues only when turn signal is on or brake applied I am thinking you are over when adding the additional amperage when braking or signaling.

Oh no! Well you will need to get a new connector and install on your wire. Shouldn’t be difficult if you have the right tool. Amazon has a lot of special electrical connector crimpers that work great. Can’t thank you enough for the part number. That will help a lot of us out with making our own cameras.

I was also concerned going in but realized that the 10k extra for diesel along with the additional cost of fuel would only benefit if I were to pull that heavy all the time. I think someone figured it would be 130k mikes to make up the difference. Being a second truck I think those pulls will be a few times a year and just have to suck it up. If you plan on pulling a lot and heavy I would suggest going for the diesel if your pocket can accommodate it.

Went on a 350miles trip this weekend and weighed in at 16000lb with my 28’ toy hauler. Got 7Mpg from St. Louis to Cape Girardeau And 6mpg back up. That was at 65mph. Truck ran with cruise set and basically stayed at 3000rpm the whole way down and back on HWY55. Started with 500miles on the truck. This isn’t what I was hoping for. It’s gonna be an expensive tow anywhere we go now.

2020 Chevy 2500HD at the dealer for none of my trailer lights working. Brake controller works fine. I just tested amp draw from RV trailer at right around 4amps. 13-192 marker lights 1- license plate light 2- 3457 brake stop tail lights seems this should be more than under any programming safety limit. Should know shortly what they come up with. worked fine with three trailers with LED lights so I can’t imagine the new trucks only allow new led lights that draw less amps.

Perfect info. That’s what we needed to know. That should allow us to use any IR HD 1080 camera and patch in wireless converters or send signal allowing the user to select which camera they want to operate. I’m happy to see them upgrading to HD cameras.

This has been a past issue also that the company MVI has worked out in the past to allow the camera to stay on without the timer. This is reprogramming of the control module and will most likely being addressed by them as we speak. it seems the first thing we need to do is get affordable 1080 camera with IR able to be plugged into the rear bumper ports. I think sending the signal wireless isn't an issue if an affordable camera is used there are many wireless ways to send the signal and then pick it back up and send it to the connector at the bumper plug. In your case we will have to wait and see when they are going to take care of the timer issue.

Anyone know anything about this 2.4 wireless Gm camera? Seems half the battle would be finding what module it communicates with and then if it’s able to be fed into the current trucks. I would say it is not 1080 So that would be a whole other issue. I see many 1080 cameras out there with IR and think one could take one, cut the end off and put the triaxial BNC connector on it and plug right in for half the cost. Any objections? EE to EE, bypass the bumper connector and you will see what plugs into the trailer/camera connector and all will make sense.TRIAX connector with BNC ends that carry SDI. unlimited options of ability to convert signal to whatever signal carrying you like. BNC to cat5 or a/d converter the options of customizing are endless.the signal is SDI, The issue I have yet to discover without more testing is these cameras gm has on the trucks. I think they are higher resolution (hd so they call them) but that is being cleaned and filtered at higher resolution at wherever they are plugged into. More time and testing will tell but the GM camera seems nothing special, a $10 camera at best.
