  1. From someone that works in oil and gas industry, check and see what refineries are close... your shell and chevron may be the same fuel. A lot of refineries sell to other retailers are thier refinery may be to far to truck and purchase base fuel and add their own additives. I usually go to Shell as their fuel is usually the best and I like their points system. Chevron is what I use in my jeep as they have 94 octane on it's own pump so theres no cross contamination from 87, but the closest refinery is 1000miles 1600km away so I'm almost certain its Petro can / sunaco fuel or Shell, also chevron and shell say no ethanol on their top tier fuels. 2. I test drove both and when I pressed the pedal both trucks moved. The 6.2 isnt magical and it's not that much better than the others, its certainly isnt worth the extra, I think the 10 speed is making the 6.2 feel more powerful as the 1st gear is a lot lower in the 10 speed and it's such a smooth transmission, it's the real hero here. Maybe if you live somewhere where 87 and 91 are only cents apart then maybe the 6.2 will be worth it. For me it costs nearly $30 extra to fill and I get almost no gain. I also own a 5.7 hemi and the 6.2 does have a little extra power ( hemi Is also a base model with 6 speed) but it's also costing me $2500 to $3000 per year to operate. My previous tuned Cummins would walk all over my 6.2 and my jeep SRT8 makes the 6.2 feel like a v6, it's a truck and maybe people are forgetting that. I heard all the hype on the 6.2 and then got it and was like ok so when does this thing start performing. The 5.3 is by far my least favorite V8 but I'd chose it over the 6.2 if I were able to re do things and smile at the pumps each time I fill up. Sent from my SM-N975W using Tapatalk
  3. I have a 6.2 and if the 5.3 AT4 became available with the 10 speed and 3.42 gears instead of 3.23 then that would be my choice!! 6.2 costs too much to operate for little gain. Sent from my SM-N975W using Tapatalk
  4. Aww.. I test drove a high country and it had the power closing. Multi pro has turned to be a much better option, I use it more than expected Sent from my SM-N975W using Tapatalk
  5. The AT4 is going to push other manufacturers to focus on this "offroad" ready truck. Ram is gunning for the Raptor with the new Rebel TRX, and now the rumors of Chevy ZRX. We will likely see a few offerings in this category as the Raptor style trucks will be out of reach for many as the Raptor with luxury pkg is $97k in Canada Sent from my SM-N975W using Tapatalk
  6. AT4 for sure!! Looks better and it's a more desirable truck. If I were after a luxury truck the Denali would be the last I'd look at as the Ram and Ford Limited trim is soo far better I have no idea how the denali even sells. AT4 on the other hand with the better suspension and offroad looks as well as a standard size box is what drew me away from the ram rebel and price of the raptor was too much to stomach for a half ton truck. I had a ram limited 2500 and wanted to step down from the big heavy trucks as I barely tow anymore and AT4 was closest to what I needed, with bed view camera (ram bed view is only on HD) std box, and decent tires so I didnt need to spend any money after purchasing. Only option I'm missing on my AT4 vs Denali is the power up on the tailgate, but when you have a tonneau its probably something that wont be used often, the main feature is the auto down, I do like that. 7. Mine works in drive and signal light on and a trailer plugged in.
  8. i checked in my vehicle settings and nothing i can find to activate it, only while towing. it would be a simple feature for GM to add. i wonder if anyone is doing software hacking for GM? theres a few for the uConnect. My Ram thought it was a Dodge Viper, all the systems are the same so thats great. all my SRT racing features worked including g force and track times and all the guages etc..
  9. I noticed one guy that puts a towel across the tailgate to keep it from marking, i got a few deep marks in mine from the ramps.
  10. doing some comparing of the AT4 to regular 1500 and the strut is actually only 1/2" longer, the rest of the height is achieved by extra spring load. I plan on getting a Readylift SST 1.74" and trying to remove some preload in hopes to gain 1 to 1-1/2" of lift Possibly for the rear to keep it level under load I'll get some airbags
  11. Works fine for me. Sent from my SM-N975W using Tapatalk
  12. Yep, did it all winter long Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  13. I thought it was a neat feature for sure, it's only when a trailer is connected. I think it was be great to have any time Sent from my SM-N975W using Tapatalk
  14. I'd like to see one on an AT4
  15. It's the coilover version so that pretty much doubles the cost Sent from my SM-N975W using Tapatalk

  17. https://www.readylift.com/2-25-front-leveling-kit-w-control-arms-at4-trail-bossgm-1500-truck-2019.html I was thinking of the Readylift 1.75 but i'm not 100% sure i want to trust it. the AT4 is basically a regular seirra with a 2" already added so adding another leveling kit just seems like a way to prematurely wear our the suspension or CV's BDS 2.5" is actually a 4" lift and eventually thats probably what i'll end up doing.
  18. Got to test mine today with 91. I took 3 gas cans and went till i ran out. with the 91 the truck still seems to drive them same but i have not hammered on it yet and only drove like an old lady on the highway to see how low i can get it. Currently at 12.0 L/100km or 19.6 mpg ... thats on highway with the with the economy range thing set to 50km/30 miles driving 65mph / 105kph on dead flat road.
  19. Hows the diesel working out? have heard a few issues on them. i like the fact that its a straight 6, but if i bought one i would miss my cummins. I sold my diesel as its so cold here we can never them warm and the GM's are too hard to delete so i don't want to be stranded from failed DEF
  20. Yep 2020 Jeep SRT8 and 2020 AT4 Snow is my favorite Sent from my SM-T830 using Tapatalk
  21. That pole is on a form we're probably many people know they need 91 as a red thread like this. Most part in Canada 91 is considerably more expensive than 87. My uncle for example has a Denali with a 6.2 and he had no idea anyone even put 91 in pickup trucks he thought that was silly. But he like me always had a diesel I've only ever had one other gas truck and that was my EcoBoost everything else has been Duramax or Cummins. If I would have done a little research prior to buying and knew my truck needed 91 I 100% would not have bought this truck. If our Winters weren't -40 I probably would have looked at the 3L Duramax for the fact that it's a straight 6 but I'm tired of waiting all day for my diesel to warm up Sent from my SM-N975W using Tapatalk
  22. Interesting, I’d be surprised the knock sensor didn’t cause a CEL. or nothing like that would be mentioned by the dealer. I’d guarantee 95% of the 6.2s here are running on 87, probably only the camero or vette using 91. Our dealer is a dud that should of been told, my jeep is a performance vehicle so I suspected it would need 91 anyway but at least the dealer said it needs at least 91. I’m not worried about performance it is a truck after all, I only got it for the 10 speed and it was the only option I had without doing a factory order, all AT4 were 6.2 or diesel. If I wanted power I would of kept my Cummins with compounds and bought a Tacoma for a beater truck
  23. TRX will be way way less efficient but have 200 more hp and possibly raptor equivalent suspension. I probably wouldn't buy one as it would be over $100k in Canada. A raptor is $97k, and my AT4 was 78k. No one looks at compression ratio when buying a truck, my buddy has a high county with a 6.2 and never used anything but 87, hes lifted on 37s so his fuel economy isnt worth looking at. the dealer also filled my truck with 87 and no one ever mentioned anything about 91. First truck I've heard of ever needing 91, a raptor makes 450 and runs perfectly on 87, a 520hp tune needs 91. Truck dont knock, starts and drives fine. It idles near silent its awkwardly quiet. 24. Stupid comment, a big rig gets like 8mpg and sell based of fuel economy as you can go further and run cheaper. No one is expecting to get 40mpg or nothing like that. But if truck A gets 5 mpg more than truck B and does the exact same task then truck B will be more desired. Plus many people say the 6.2 /10 speed is better than the 5.3 and my buddy has a 2017 5.3 and it's a pig for a half ton. There's seriously something wrong with a 3/4 ton gas is better better mpg than a 1/2 ton. This AT4 is going to cost me an extra $2500 per year vs Ford or Ram CC 6.5 box that does the exact same thing. I only bought the AT4 because everyone was like it's such a great truck and I didn't have to buy a level or new tires. My EcoBoost (CC 6.5 box with 3.55 and FX4/ tow pkg) was 20mpg easy with a level and 34x11 tires, I can't get this truck at 20mpg unless I'm driving 50mph. Sent from my SM-N975W using Tapatalk
