  1. If you replaced the thermostat with an A/C Delco one, it's probably the standard temp. I'm curious, what was the outside temperature when driving? Do you have a towing package ? Max towing package ? The transmission temp would bother me, personally. I did the pill flip on mine & transmission runs cool most all the time here in Western N Carolina.
  2. I agree with Brian....sounds like torque converter. Depending on how long you've been driving it, your transmission may be toast now from the debris
  3. The cable you have circles is a POSITIVE cable, not negative. But I still don't know why it burnt a hole in your battery. The only negative one is to the left with the green "X" on it. Everything connected to that center metal plate is "HOT". Maybe a loose connection creating more resistance?
  4. Search YouTube on this, a common issue with bad ground on dash.
  5. I'd start with the easy first. swap your coil & see if it follows. I not, then swap plugs & see i it follows. Direct injectors can be a pain to pull.
  6. Have you looked at cleaning your throttle body. These get Carboned up & the clearance reduces between the flap & housing. Search YouTube for some ideas on what to do & what not to do. It will need to go thru a relearn afterwards. Just a thought at your miles.
  7. Did you watch this video? I know it's not your year BUT....might help.
  8. How many miles on your truck? How frequently do you change your oil? https://youtu.be/2EuXLIskQtY
  9. https://youtu.be/n2FxBMHStHQ
  10. How many miles on it? Which transmission? Has transmission ever been serviced? Fluid level ok? Have you done the pill flip or replace the transmission thermostat?
  11. Alway good to hear about a happy out come.
  12. Yep, 140 ft lb is correct. I bought a 12v impact lug nut remover along with 12v electric jack, just in case AAA can't get to me. I run 35 psi too on my new continentals.
  13. LOL.....I'm right there too! And your shocks look fine to me. Us old guys need to stick together.
  14. Yeah, probably a 'up sell' opportunity. FYI, it's been my experience that you need to use a large channel type plyers to squeeze the ball joints to see if any movement to check foe wear. How many miles on your truck?
  15. This should be a pretty simple job. You may have to remove the caliper in order to remove the line & install new one. I'm not sure what your boss did on the '19 to require that. Maybe some else will chime in here to verify
  16. Check this link out. Here's the specs for the 656, which says it replaces the 654 84207656 - Radiator 2014-2017 GM | Wholesale.Parts
  17. Interesting! That's a good question. I thought all had them. Do you have a picture of what it does look like without it? Maybe cause it's a HD?
  18. I think the dealer may be correct on this. It's a complex system now & you usually needs to be programed if replaced. This video may help you understand the system better. Eric on this video is very sharp guy.
  19. What air pressure are you running
  20. Did you ever clear the codes?
  21. That new fluid for the 8 speed transmission only. 6 speed takes the Dexron 6 fluid. If the rumble is from the converter, I'm pretty sure it's too late for a fluid change to help. How many Miles on transmission
  22. Just from what I've seen on this forum & youtube videos, this is a common issue. They show replacing some of the parts to try to repair but I'm not sure how good that works. If & when mine goes out on my '17 Silverado, I'll probably get an aftermarket unit that is larger & a little more robust.
  23. 111k isn't bad for OE shocks.
