  1. Car values vary by location, mileage, options, and actual condition. Aside from your gut or what you are seeing elsewhere, what does KBB or similar site show as the value?
  2. In my experience, that is not current nor accurate. I will add that even the local dealers cant' keep their own website up to date. I don't know the last time any of you have actually gone to the dealer, but I've been to two in the last few weeks, and there are hardly any cars on the lot. And most of those are used. I was at the dealer last Monday to get the yearly oil change in my Camaro, and they had maybe 50 vehicles on the lot. Only 2 were new, and one of those was sold and awaiting pickup.
  3. OK, so a correction on something that I stated earlier, and then a summary of the whole fiasco. My original order was with Running Board Warehouse (I previously stated that I ordered from Real Truck). So I placed my order on March 3rd. Item was shown as in stock, ships free, and was the lowest advertised price that I could find (without calling anyone). The estimated ship date was given as March 17-22. On March 16, I received an "update" stating the estimated ship date was pushed to March 30 - April 5. Saturday, March 20 I followed the "Contact Us" link from the email providing the update and was taken to Real Truck. Monday morning Real Truck responded stating that they would begin the cancellation process. I immediately went to Amazon and placed my order (still the same price) and was given a estimated delivery date of Thursday. Less than an hour later I received the "your item has shipped" notification. And they actually arrived today. The craziest part of this entire debacle is that my original order (through Running Board Warehouse) and the new order from Amazon were both fulfilled by Real Truck. I don't know if they noticed the 2nd order to the same address and realized they messed up, or if this was just your typical speedy service provided by Amazon. I'm guessing the first as these shipped via FedEx, and I can't remember the last time I received anything ordered through Amazon which arrived via FedEx. In any case, I now have what I wanted. And the price went down $10 today at Amazon, but is now being fulfilled by AutoAnything.
  4. Funnily enough, the price on Amazon is now the same, and ships from Real Truck and noted for delivery Thursday. At least through Amazon I would have a more formal way of lodging a complaint, and one that they would want, and be more likely to fix.
  5. I submitted a request to cancel the order. Waiting for a call back and I will see what they say. If they can't get them to me this week, I will just have to find something else.
  6. Cool. Thank you both for the information.
  7. So I'm looking at LED strip lighting for the rear (between bumper and tailgate). I'm looking at his one: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07K2NRJK8/?coliid=I29ZZSO90PEXT&colid=5JOFUPAEZFQ0&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it It comes with the flat four pin connector, which I assume would plug into the trailer plug on the bumper. But that just seems a tad silly to have exposed wiring. Anyone know if there is another 4 pin connector back there or if I will need to be taping wires. Anyone else installed similar lighting?
  8. I ordered these as well, back on March 2nd. They were supposedly in stock with an estimated ship date of the 17th - 20th, odd, but OK. I received an email Wednesday now showing an "estimated" ship date of the 30th - 2nd. Evidently Real Truck is just flat out lying about them being in stock and are stringing me along. If I can order a BakFlip MX4 and get it with free shipping in 2 days from Amazon (cheaper than every other price listed on line, by far), Real Truck can ship running boards within a week, two tops, IF the product was actually in stock. First and last purchase from Real Truck for me.
  9. Yes, it has OnStar. I also just found a different kit at Gen5DIY ( https://www.gen5diy.com/collections/19-20-silverado-products/products/2019-chevrolet-silverado-radar-detector-harness?variant=23302806241338 ). Works for manual and auto dimming, so it would appear that there is actually power in that connector. Now I just need to figure out which wires to tap.
  10. So from what I'm reading, the manual dimming rearview mirror does not have power. So it looks like I will need to run power from the fuse box (I've found a Gen5DIY kit). Is what I've found so far correct, before I start prying plastic bits off to investigate on my own? Can anyone confirm?
  11. From what I've read, the base radio is awful. And yes, I would plan on an Amp and speakers. I can't see the base radio having the power to drive a good speaker. Having said that, you could upgrade the speakers and then see how you like it.
  12. Pacific Blue was my first choice, and I almost purchased an AT4 last April in Pacific Blue but the salesman rubbed me the wrong way. I'm kicking myself on that one. In any case, I have a '21 RST in Satin Steel. Very nice color in the sun. But again, this was my second choice, I'd rather have the Cherry Red Tintcoat. Having said that, aside from the brown, it looks good in any color.
  13. Does the WT even have the camera system? Just a guess, but when you reverse, the camera view is displayed on the radio (maybe it then doesn't display on the mirror). Also, I think those mirrors have auto dimming, so it could disable dimming. In any case, I'm sure someone can actually help.
  14. I just like the front end styling and lighting better. And I don't have an 8 spd, 6.2 with the 10 spd. EDIT: Also in regards to appearances, the GMC has the plastic fender trim, the Chevy does not. Looks better without in my opinion.
  15. I'm partial to the looks of the GMC myself (yes, I have an RST), and with the added benefit of the 10 spd, I'd be looking at the GMC (all else being equal).
  16. I see your point of view. I was just saying that I've never gotten a car of the dealer lot.
  17. I'm sure all dealers are different, but I've never gotten a loaner. The two times that was necessary, they rented a vehicle from Enterprise.
  18. Earlier in this topic someone else tried using one of these charging pads with USB and it would light up, but not charge. And based on the fact that those that have even directly connected a phone to one of these USB's for charging, have commented that it's a slow charge, it's likely safe to say these are low power (ie: old standard USB2) ports. If you want to test, before further hacking, you could use a new cigarette lighter power adapter that provides fast charging for your phone. Otherwise, several others have provided confirmed parts. As to your direct question, yes, it's been noted that they work better before they are placed under the lid and rubber trim. I'm eyeing the front tray myself as it would make it easier (at least in my opinion) to lay for charging (and be viewable), and to connect to USB for Android Auto.
  19. Based on how you tested, and what someone else already tested, it simply doesnt get enough power from a USB port. 12v lighter to USB or 12v tap seem to be the only way to get enough power.
  20. I've been researching a cam as well. Haven't used one until now, so I've been trying to learn as much as possible. So far, I've narrowed my list down to two so far. A cheaper 1080P model, the Street Guardian SGGCX2PRO+ ( https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07GV4DHYM/?coliid=I3T1CMX1QZSYQ6&colid=5JOFUPAEZFQ0&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it ) or a pricier 4k model, the ThinkWare U1000 ( https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07XD6FLSY/?coliid=IUFS08WW3Z19M&colid=5JOFUPAEZFQ0&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it ). My biggest concern so far, was mountability. I don't like sticking stuff to the glass. I've never had anything stay mounted properly, and reliably, long term, that is just stuck to the glass. I was hoping for something that would mount similar to, or with a radar detector.
  21. Before you decide, check tire options and prices.
  22. I used: AUTOVLOG EVERY time you order something, Google for a coupon code. I ordered from Griots and The Rag Company this morning and found coupon codes for both. I wasn't able to find one for BakFlip MX4 cover, and all of the links that I've seen posted for "better prices" are all showing the factory direct price unless you call, however, Amazon had it for $120 less with Free 2nd day Prime shipping.
  23. Damn, wish those were satin.
  24. I just ordered this the other day as well. Plus there was a 10% off code.
  25. I was just shopping around a bit again this morning, and Escort, Radenso, and Uniden all use OLED. I used to hear good things about the Valentine One as well, but they appear to be missing the mark as of late, at least in the reviews that I was reading. So I guess I'm just more concerned about camera choice at this point. Never had one before, so I'm trying to research and just get input from those that do use them.
