  1. The Bilsteins are noted to be a big improvement, but I would start with finding out exactly what was changed when it was lifted. As noted, I would also look at the exhaust to try and determine what was changed. But it wouldn't surprise me if at least part of the drone is the tires. Even with cars, tires can make a huge impact on ride and noise (I can tell a difference between my "summer" tires and my "winter" tires on the Camaro).
  2. If I was going to talk with anyone, it would be your salesman/dealer. Likely have an item on constraint in your build. I had to drop the running boards (no big loss) from my build and it went right through. And it showed up minus two LPO's (the black out package and the all weather floor mats).
  3. Just picked mine up yesterday. Got here sooner than I expected. Crew Cab RST 6.2 w/ standard bed Satin Steel Ordered Dec. 22 So 9 weeks, but that included the Christmas shutdown.
  4. If you can track down the part numbers, you should be able to get all GM parts.
  5. I'm eyeing the Retrax Pro as well. It locks, so on those occasions that I have stuff in the back, I'd be less worried about it. Plus, if you want racks or other storage hardware, it will still work. But yeah, the price has me second guessing.
  6. $32.28 each from GMPartsDirect
  7. Ive used several now, and I don't know that I've had one yet that was easy to quickly see/read the display. I have the 9500ix in the Camaro, and I can't see it during the day either, and Camaros allow much less light into the interior. I don't recall the manufacturer, but at one point there was a product that would feed the detector data into the data bus using the OBD2 port, and would then display the info on the DIC and/or HUD. That would be nice.
  8. I had this problem when I first got my Camaro. I think I had to turn off shuffle and turn it back on. But that was 8 years ago, so...
  9. So I'm planning on adding a radar detector (Escort 360c) and using a BlendMount. I like the BlendMount and it has worked well in my other vehicles. I'm also considering a dash cam. Escort also has a cam (M1) which uses the same power cord as the radar detector and will also fit on the same mount. Nice and tidy. Having said that, the M1 is average at best, from what I can see from reviews. Anyone else using a dashcam? Any recommendations? Anything that will mount as tidy as the M1?
  10. Part #: 19417164 It states in the description that it is for the Bose systems. The other two are for the non-Bose radios.
  11. I will have my truck in a few weeks, so I haven't gotten to listen to this system yet. But if it is like the Bose system in my 2013 Camaro (and my previous Silverado), adding a sub is all that I needed to be happy. Adding the sub allows you to reduce the bass output to the other speakers and give you more room (ie: volume) before you start getting distortion.
  12. Just spoke with my dealer yesterday. Should have the truck by mid March. Would have had it sooner, but my original order included running boards which are all on constraint. They asked to resubmit the order Feb. 1 without and it went through instantly. Assuming no shipping issues, could have it as early as next week.
  13. Let the waiting begin. Ordered a RST last Tuesday. Guestimated delivery is early March.
  14. Sounds like they are a volume dealer. I've been watching prices around here, and regardless of the incentives, pricing has stayed the same for volume dealers. Regardless, I'm sure they told you they won't guarantee the price on an ordered vehicle. This is the gamble you take to order exactly what you want.
  15. Damn. I've been watching the order thread and most orders appeared to be about 8 weeks. Congrats by the way. I was waiting until Jan to order mine.
  16. The color has been available for quite awhile, just not on the AT4. It's just your basic non metallic bright red. Looks good in my opinion. I was looing at a TB in this color, but I much prefer the AT4.
  17. The trucks are basically identical, minus any specific model details, which you didn't supply. I mean, if you like the wheels on the High Country, they are going to look basically the same on another similar model Silverado/Sierra.
  18. If you are getting a basic or low option truck, you wouldnt be getting a large screen anyway. The large screen would be with the "high end" stereo which includes Nav. I would like the larger screen as it would give you a larger, easier to view screen when using split screen mode (ie: displaying Nav and Radio). As it is now, the Nav map is mostly useless in split screen.
  19. Product wise, they are all similar. You just need to watch the installer reviews. Some shops are much better than others. Pricing is typically similar as well. Paint correction should be minimal on a new truck, but I would have that done as well. As for paint correction in general, do the whole truck and then ceramic coat it.
  20. I'm surprised gen5diy wasn't helpful. Did you contact them directly or just search their site? And their site has come a long way since I was there last. He started with making stuff for the 5th Gen Camaro (hence the website name). He used to hang out at Camaro5 and was always helpful with providing wiring harness info and GM part numbers.
  21. The local volume dealers that I've been watching are still 10-11k off MSRP. Which is the same as it was in April/May when I was ready to pull the trigger but they couldn't find what I wanted.
  22. I used RAAMAT in my Camaro. Also, there are different products for different areas of the vehicle. What most people refer to as "Dynamat" (ie: the foil covered rubbery material) is used on large flat panels to reduce vibrations. You don't need the entire surface covered to see results (ie: the factory pieces). You also see this on the bottom of Stainless Steel sinks.
  23. A volume dealer will likely get you a better price than using the Costco rebate. When we bought the wifes Terrain, if we wanted to use the Costco rebate, the price was going to go up. It had something to do with how they can stack rebates.
  24. Removing the rear levels the truck. A non AT4/TB is 2 inches lower in the front. Plus, unless I'm missing something, the HUD is only available in the AT4/Denali or High Country.
