  1. It made cool noises when you punched the gas, I don’t think it added power. When the temp dropped below 0 the fuel economy took a dump. My wideband plus HP tuners was the same price, and totally worth it. Intake was way overpriced for what it does
  2. I had the momentum GT. Sold it. Here is a pic. It’s the same size as the 6.2 throttle body bore
  3. Yes, it’s plastic. There is one for the transfer case too
  4. She looks good! I really like the 2014 front end
  5. You don't need control arms just put camber bushings in your stock arms. Belltech makes them I did a quick search and it seems like that may be an out of stock, or unavailable item. McGaughys website has it listed for $0.00 and none of the good stores list that part number. Call or email McGaughys and SuspensionSuperstore.com. Also TDot Performance, and SuperBee Truck Accessories are really good Canadian companies
  6. My 2018 has stamped arms and I used Belltech kit 1017SP. The kit lowers with spindles and struts. It is set at 2/4 now but it can go 4/4 by adjusting the struts. Belltech has a disclaimer saying not to lower a 4x4 by more than 2/4, but I know guys do it all the time. If you go more than 2" you need camber bushings (BEL:#4955) in the control arms to keep the alignment good. Maybe that's why they are trying to sell you control arms.
  7. Yes. It only shows the truck and the semi-circle warning when you are close to something. I get the warning in the DIC about 2m, 6 feet, from the object.
  8. You data log with the wideband. Has to be in open loop so the factory O2 sensors don't adjust fuel. I have a CAI, cat back exhaust and a Soler Perf TB. Those mods made it run lean. I adjusted the MAF Frequency to add fuel. My LTFT's were about +11 now they are around +2. It feels more responsive on the tip in. From a stop I would accelerate and it would lag for a second then start moving. That problem is gone. Fuel economy went up from 15L/100km to 14L/100km and the DIC calculation is more accurate. Going out today to do more logging and tuning
  9. -Used the AEM 30-0300. It came with an exhaust bung that my friend welded into the passenger side of the y-pipe. There is more room for it there. -I got power from the interior drivers side fuse block. There is a big fuse there using 2 of 3 pins. The 3rd exposed pin is what you tap into. I got the idea from this forum. People hard wire dash cams into the same power source. (Key on 12V) -Removed the 110V outlet plug in the console, used a dremel tool to notch the sides a little until the gauge fit nicely -Ran the power wire under the steering wheel to the console/gauge -O2 wiring I routed up the same path as the factory O2 wire, and then up the firewall and over to the passenger fender. Then its routed through the fender. There is a grommet under the top door hinge, I cut an X in that grommet and fed the wire through. It came into the cab near the cabin filter. Then routed over to the console and connected to the gauge. -I also wired up the serial port input so that I can hook it into the computer and Data Log with HP Tuners. Got that info from Goat Rope Garage on YouTube. Everything fits nicely behind the console I didn't take any pictures as I was doing it. If you need pics I can get some.
  10. Installed my wideband O2 sensor last week. Got the MAF curve tuned nicely. Now to jump deeper into the rabbit hole of tuning.
  11. 2014 to 2018 only. GM redesigned the 4.3 in 2014 to have direct injection
  12. Washed and waxed. Got HP Tuners and unlocked the engine. Disabled AFM. Need to tune air/fuel now, my LTFT is 14% rich on average.
  13. @mattarmstr You have full bumper to bumper warranty until 60000 km. I would find a different dealer and see what they say. I just had my tranny fluid done, all I had to say was that it was clunking. No questions asked they just did it
  14. 2018 Sierra 6.2L - Camshaft failure at 55000 km. Cylinder 8 lobe scored. Started ticking like a sewing machine. Dealer replaced all lifters and cam under warranty. Also got tranny fluid changed to the new stuff. They don’t know why it failed, claimed it was poor oil quality or loss of oil pressure. I’ve only ran AC Delco oil and filter. Mods I have are cat back exhaust and lowering kit. After warranty expires I will delete AFM with an aftermarket cam and lifters.
  15. Stock 5.3 = 3” and stock 6.2 = 3.5” so nope, 2.5” is no good. You have to change exhaust from manifold back or y-pipe back for it to work.
  16. Didn’t have a scanner on it. I accelerate onto the highway in L7 and count 7 shifts. It’s revving at 2200 rpm, then as soon as the trans temp hits 20 degrees it “shifts” again and drops to about 2000 rpm. I thought this was the converter locking.
  17. Thanks, lol, learned something today
  18. I have a 2018 with a 6.2 and 8L90. I flipped the transmission thermostat “pill” in the summer. This week has been cold, about -15*C. The tranny won’t lock the converter until the temp reads 20*C. I can drive in L7 or D and the same thing happens. It takes about 5 min of highway driving for it to reach 20, then the converter locks. I haven’t had any problems with it. Pill was flipped to keep it alive longer. I think cold is better than hot for any transmission. Am I running the tranny too cold?
  19. I have Belltech’s flip kit installed. It handles my stock 6.2 better than the factory setup. There is way less wheel hop and a better ride than stock. There are a few guys one here with flip kits putting out good power. One guy has over 600 rwhp and his truck is lowered 4/6 or 5/7
  20. I have the MBRP exhaust you mentioned, except it is 3.5” on a 6.2. It is very loud, cold start shakes the pictures in my house. I like it, but my neighbours hate me. All of them will drone in V4 mode because they delete the flapper valve. Do some YouTube research on the different sounds. That’s probably the easiest way to find out what you like
  21. I have an MBRP cat back. It’s not a straight pipe, there is a little muffler, but it rattles the pictures in my house with the cold start. Super obnoxious cold start, loud on acceleration, fairly quiet on the highway and it does drone in V4 mode. Pretty cheap too, I paid $650 CAD
  22. I have 3.23 in my 2018, 6.2 - 8 speed. You can get 3.42 with the Max Tow package and 6.2. If you have a 5.3 you can get 3.73
  23. Stock is 3.5 inch. Run it 3.5 all the way. If you want “true” duals you’ll have to ditch the y-pipe or cut it into 2 separate pipes.
  24. Belltech spindles and struts. I lowered my 2018 double cab 4x4 with the Belltech 2/4 kit and it rides as good as stock in the front and better than stock in the rear. You won’t be disappointed
  25. I don't know for sure. It might erase and overwrite the hard drive, or it just adds it on top. The Superchip might be causing all of the problems with your tranny. A custom tune could be what you need
