In my wife's case the federal government paid for her masters degree. She just had to agree to definite servitude (2 years service for every 1 year of school they paid for). Her debt is paid, but she's opted to remain at the mercy of her masters. Stockholm syndrome?

The only time I've experienced this problem is when my wife calls me in her 2017 Traverse. It's the last model year of the 1st generation, so it's top end tech is miles away from our truck. Even though she's able to connect her phone to the radio, when she calls me on speaker phone I hear the echo and insist she take me off speaker phone. Plus, It's not unusual for me to say things inappropriate that she wouldn't want other passengers to hear (such as our kids or coworkers). I swear a lot and talk dirty. The only thing missing is the alcohol, lol. But this what lead me to my initial reply about your phone's microphone being on. Maybe the government was listening in on you when your call started, lol?

I hope you're in a position to hire people. HR hiring standards often lack common sense due to that department typically being bloated with morons with degrees. They hire their own ilk. Perhaps that's why people with actual sense start their own small business. I'm too bitter to work for others anymore.

I'm out of ideas. Just tried to help. Are you able to check if this is a problem with Android phones?

I've heard of a similar issue happening with Teslas in a specific tunnel at a specific spot in California. There's already been a serious multi-vehicle crash because of it. Fortunately, my truck didn't come with all that fancy stuff. The result of getting towing mirrors on my Trail Boss. I did add front and rear cameras via GM Accessories for recording driving in the event of an accident, however they don't have control of the vehicle. They only sound an alert if it thinks I'm too close to the car in front of me. They also seem to alert me to some (not all) school zones and traffic cameras.

I don't think that's odd. The cup holder could've been causing the echo. Take any cup in your kitchen and talk directly into it with the cup close to your mouth. Listen to the sound it makes. It'll hopefully make sense to you when you hear it. Btw, aside from the wireless charging benefit of sitting the phone on the charging pad, it'll also help keep you phone battery cool. There's a small AC duct that runs from the right side of your radio to under the charging pad where it ends and cool air exits to keep the charging pad and your phone cool. It'll help with the life of your phone's battery.

I'm learning, and it's good to know what's going on in my family isn't unique. My kids range in age from 5-12. All 3 have different personalities and interests. My wife got her Masters Degree from an Ivy League, l and is the dumbest smart person I know. Yes, I say that to her face too. She even graduated with honors. Not a lick of common sense nor street smarts. It's exhausting. Couldn't change a flat tire even if there was a YouTube video to follow.

My dealer does 3 oil changes for $100. They use what GM requires. Courtesy Chevrolet in San Diego, CA if you want to look it up. I know what kind of things dealership techs do. I've had a loose oil filter 2 out of my last 3 oil changes. It doesn't take much to tighten that myself in the driveway. The 2 dealerships in my area make it impossible to watch the techs. Look up the dealership I just listen on Google Maps. The service area isn't indoors. It's covered for the techs, but completely outside. Vehicles awaiting service are parked outdoors in the middle of the service area. Seems to be the norm out here. There's a GMC dealership nearby the same way. The Chevy dealership in Kearny Mesa is the same way. I wouldn't be surprised if all the GM dealerships in San Diego County were this way. I've worked for dealerships, and been a supplier to dealerships. I've seen what goes on with my own 2 eyes. Most things they "suggest" I refuse and take a look at in my driveway. If it's legit I usually do the work myself. They only get the oil changes because they are so cheap. Just the oil itself at AutoZone costs more out here, just like everything else. My cost to refill the gas tank with 91 octane is $115 right now.

Might as well just put a doghouse in the back of the truck, imo. It probably weighs the same as the rooftop tent with the rack it's on top of. With solid wall construction you won't have to worry about wind. Maintain the roof for excellent rain protection too.

The leveling kit may have its own alignment specs. If you dig around on Readylift's website you'll find they have their own alignment specs for their level kits.

No exhaust leak here. Just crossed 44k miles on the odometer. Fwiw, 20 years ago Ford made better vehicles than they do today. They weren't the #1 recalled brand in the country back then. Nonetheless, I'd hate to think GM stooped that low in quality.

Have you checked to see if there's a leveling kit on the truck? Easiest giveaway, imo, would be a bigger block on the rear leaf spring. The other option is to look for a spacer/additional spacer on top of the front strut and/or an aftermarket upper control arm.

That's an expensive oil change, imo. Discount Tire does free rotations if you buy tires from them.

Many dealers sell oil changes as a "loss leader". This is because they "inspect" the vehicle to find more work. Getting you to buy that more work generates their profit.

Do you think that's what's going on with all the "overland" truck builds posers on the roads now? The rooftop tent is the new doghouse?

Your phone's mic is still active, so the echo chamber is being caused by your voice being picked up by the truck's mic and your phone's mic, then sending both to the recipient. I only use Bluetooth in my truck. I hate the carplay/android auto stuff. Perhaps you could avoid the echo chamber by only using carplay and not stack on bluetooth?

If it's cheap enough is take it. Just my opinion. I'm almost at 44k miles on my 2020 and it only has 1400 hours on it. Auto start/stop doesn't engage when the truck is in Park. Whenever you come to stop, the auto start/stop turns off the engine, and you then shift into Park the engine comes back on. Mid to higher trim levels do differentiate between run time and idle time. Iirc, even with 44k miles, my truck only has a few hundred idle hours on it. The truck you're considering was definitely sitting and idling for long periods of time. Was it a border patrol truck where an agent sat in it and let it idle so they could have AC?

Your wife broke it. Blame her. When she complains about how expensive it is to fix, remind her it didn't stay malfunctioning until she used it. No allowance for her for a few weeks, lol.

ReadyLift does say on their website that adding their 2" lift to the Trail Boss/AT4 will cause an issue with the Auto 4WD. They recommend not using Auto 4WD with their kit installed.

Would the same math for figuring correct gearing be applicable here? Going from the stock 275/65-18 to a 285/75-18, for example, would change the gearing from 3.23 to 3.51 (good luck finding that). Using the same variable, would that make the new tire pressure be 37-38 psi (utilizing same example at beginning of post)?

Meh, I'm good. Recommended shock replacement is approximately every 50,000 miles. I'd rather spend $240 every 50k than $2,400.

Washed my truck yesterday .... only to have it rain today. Rain wasn't in the forecast. They only said fog.

Fuel economy sucks for a 4-banger. It's on par with the V8s. Might as well get a V8 based on that alone.
