  1. I recommend reaching out to Baja Designs. They have some A-pillar lights for the T1s through GM Accessories. They might be able to help. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  2. Darn near, but not quite. I have one on the way. It can't arrive soon enough! Mine an LT TB with the 6.2. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  3. My dealer told me that if I installed GM Accessories on the very vehicle they are designed for, my warranty is expired. I can give you the dealership name, employee name, their email address, and the dealership phone number of you don't want to believe "some guy" on the internet. Dealerships aren't reliable sources. When i want to discuss the law I'll seek info from an attorney. Oh, wait! I have. Per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, the burden of proof is on the warranter. GM, or one of GM's techs has to prove a modification to a vehicle caused a failure of parts seeking warranty replacement/repair in order to reject/deny a warranty claim. Spraying nitrous oxide into an engine, and frying the piston rings, will void the powertrain warranty. Installing a catch can in line with an air tube to prevent oil from going into the air intake via the throttle bottle is an improvement to the longevity of the vehicle, not a hinderence. GM would have a very difficult time defending a denial of warranty in court on that one. Not only would they be compelled to honor the warranty, but they'd also have to pay for legal expenses to the plaintiff. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  4. All things you lose with towing mirrors. My Trail Boss has the towing mirrors from the factory. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  5. Is $1,000 fair enough of a price? https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/premium-thinkware-f800-dashcam-by-echomaster-associated-accessories-19418275?year=2020&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado 1500&modelId=491&body=Crew Cab Pickup&bodyId=22&wheel=Short Box&wheelId=651&trim=LT Trail Boss&trimId=5101&drive=4WD&driveId=8&engine=6.2L V8 GAS&engineId=5920&bodyNumDoors=5&categoryId=98064 I had this included in my deal when I bought my truck. The cost to install is actually more than the unit itself. Dealership charged about $520 for the install. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  6. It looks like you may need to pull the whole plastic trim surround in order to remove it. I could be wrong. Just going off the pic I found. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  7. I'll let you know when I finally receive my truck. In the meantime I'll ask you this: "Are there enough USB ports to charge 3 cell phones and 4 tablets simultaneously?" That's my haul when I have the entire family in my car. With a 3 row SUV (2017 Chevrolet Traverse), using the power ports in the front dash, back of the center console for the 2nd row, and next to the rear hatch for the 3rd row, and each of them have a dual USB plug, the answer is, "No." If a 3 row SUV can't get the job done, then a pickup truck definitely won't. So, what's the big issue about adding 1 more means to charge electronic devices to make things a bit easier? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  8. You have a solid point that I wasn't considering. The only reply I could think of is how my wife could put her phone down and charge while mine is plugged in. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

  10. My truck didn't come with this package, so I had it added to the deal (along with a few other goodies). I'm going to do the install myself. This definitely raised the excitement level a bit. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  11. I wish I'd known, and knew your location. The dealer 2 miles from my house had a black on black TB LT sitting on their lot for a few days. When I started looking at TrueCar, that dealership sent me a video via email of the truck. It was very well equipped, including the All Star package. I think it was sold this weekend. I'm not seeing it parked out front anymore. I went with a dealer further away because they were more receptive. I didn't want the black truck. I want blue (which is what I bought). The dealership nearest me gave me a "Get in line" kind of response and said it would be 2 months for anything. However, I went in a week later, not letting them know I'd inquired a week before, and they said they had a blue one inbound and it would be here in a month. They tried to sell me right then and there. Seeing they were 2-faced I didn't want to deal with them and walked away. Now my only issue is the dealership I'm dealing with is having difficulty with the taxes and fees. They don't understand my situation, and I don't blame them. It's rather unique. I'm having to prove a tax exempt status without the typical tax exempt paperwork. They called my state of residence and finally got it sorted out today. Now they've messed up the registration and title fees, to which there are exemptions, too. We're getting it worked out. It's just a bit frustrating that I've held their hand, told them what to say, and they still don't get it right. If I could just sit in the same room for a conference call, have them call the state tax commission and DMV, then ask all the questions for them, then they'd get it straight. Managed to clear the big hurdle. Now to jump over the little one. 3 years ago this took 2 and a half weeks to clear up. So far we're only at 2 days. I can probably get that cleared up tomorrow. Edit: spelling and grammar Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  12. I'm on the east coast, too. I picked one that was inbound instead of doing a custom order, so my wait will be much shorter. I can't wait until September. I'm moving to the west coast next month. Fortunately, I own the car I'm trading in. I told the dealership that I get to keep my current car until my truck arrives. Barring something like a wreck happening, I'm in a good spot. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  13. That's good to know. Thanks! I'm buying a Trail Boss with the tow mirrors already installed. Just agreed on terms about an hour ago. Now to wait for the truck to arrive. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  14. It did this on a 2007 Tahoe, so my knowledge may not be up to par. Iirc, you need an appropriate door window switch for the mirrors, and a reflash of the BCM. My truck came from the factory with the tow mirrors, so I'd go the opposite direction if I did this. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks to you guys, I just found out my truck was made in Mexico. I was hoping for Indiana, but whatever. I spoke to my dealer a week ago they said the truck was in Baltimore, but needed to up to Pennsylvania before it could go south to southeastern Virginia. Is DC so toxic that GM won't transport trucks through there, lol? The irony about it being built in Mexico is that it'll practically be a homecoming for the truck when I move to Southern California next month. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  16. That's because ships are like giant faraday cages Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  17. I'm a new guy, and waiting for my truck too. Trail Boss LT with the 6.2. Dealership has 0 TB on the lot. They also didn't have any 6.2 to test drive. I bought my truck only seeing a marketing picture and being told it should arrive in about 2 weeks. I hope this gamble doesn't backfire on me since it is my first truck ever. I have a VIN, and would love to track my truck. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
