About 3-4%. Seems to be the typical annual inflation rate on new vehicles. Only exception I've seen recently is the C8 Corvette. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

My truck arrived at the dealership today. Now waiting for them to get their BS done. That includes the first mod of installing the dash camera system. I also added 1 large box to the stash in my garage. It took up the entire space behind the front row of my wife's Traverse. I'm ready to get started on this project. I ran to the dealership to get the last accessory that I ordered -- sport bar. While loading the box into my (wife's) Traverse I noticed this truck 2 rows away. Once I was loaded up, I walked over and looked at it. It's mine! I got to see and touch it, but haven't been inside it, nor driven it yet. In fact, I haven't driven any Silverado in over 15 to 20 years. I feel like this is a huge gamble. I hope I like it. Seeing the truck did remove any concerns about the towing mirrors. I love them. My sales rep just notified me that my truck arrived at the dealership today. It's currently in line for pre-delivery inspection. It'll then head over to service to have the GM Accessories dash camera system installed. I'm hoping I'll be able to drive it home tomorrow or Wednesday. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

My dealer wasn't willing to match GM's 20% off, so I only had a few items included in my truck purchase. I then went home and jumped on the computer, and bought more stuff. I opted to have my items sent to my dealer for pickup so shipping would be free. The following morning my dealership called and said 1 of the items I ordered online was backordered (black SILVERADO and LT badges). When I asked how long they estimated it would take to receive the item they said about a week. It actually took 2 weeks (12 days to be specific). When everything came in the dealership called me and said everything was ready for pickup. I found that overall communication was great. The 20% coupon was easy to use. I had 0 problems with the online ordering process. When I asked the dealership their role in all of this, they said they're just a distribution point between GM Accessories and the customer. I didn't ask if they get credit for selling the parts, or even a bit of money. I considered it too rude and nosy to ask about. I took 2 trips to the dealership today to grab a much as I could. The biggest item won't fit in my SUV while I have my kids, so I asked the dealership to keep it safe until tomorrow afternoon. Instead, they offered to deliver it to my house for free tomorrow morning. It's almost like Amazon and UPS, lol. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I'm still waiting on my truck to be delivered to the dealership, but all of my GM accessories have arrived. I have a big stack of boxes in my garage right now (pictured). I'm going to leave this 1st post as more of a teaser. I still have 1 more big box coming tomorrow from the dealership. They're holding onto 1 other box until my truck arrives, though. I paid for the install of my first item -- F800 dash camera system. I'm hoping to update this thread soon. I'm under a time crunch to get things done. Packers and movers show up next week for my move across the country (literally coast to coast), but I'll be in my house until mid-August. If I can set aside the tools I'll need I should be ok. There's several boxes behind the ones you see. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Tonneau Cover Advice - HELP!
Transient replied to Bryan Kabe's topic in 2019-2026 Silverado 1500 & Sierra 1500
I went with the Rough Country trifold tonneau cover. I was looking for protection from water while also fitting with the short bar. Once my truck arrives and I can get everything installed, I'll be able to determine if my decision was sound. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk -
This is a topic where 2 things are inappropriately intertwined. If a dealership or manufacturer refuses to honor a warranty, and the customer sues, the customer is the plaintiff and the dealership or manufacturer are the defendants. The only way the customer is a defendant is if the federal government charges the customer with violation of a law, and the customer chooses to provide a defense against the charges in court. Regarding who is responsible for paying the plaintiffs' fees, it's only applicable if the defendant lost the court case. Should a customer/defendant against the federal government be able to compel the court that the modification actually improves/reduces emissions, then the modification is keeping the intent of the federal emissions regulations, and no violation has occurred. Burden of proof is on the customer/defendant. Should the customer/plaintiff against the dealership or manufacturer be able to compel the court that the modification actually improves/reduces emissions, then the modification is keeping the intent of the federal emissions regulations, and no violation has occurred. Burden of proof is on the customer/plaintiff. As for legal fees, etc, they're only applicable if 1) the plaintiff petitions the court for said fees, and the court agrees, and 2) defense lost the court case. For the record, IANAL. I also don't pretend to be one on the internet. Although I attempt to provide factual information, a lawyer should be consulted. I'm not an expert, but I've done a bit of research over the years. For liability purposes, do not take what i say as the final word on the matter. Pick and choose your battles. Remember, the dealership, nor the car manufacturers, represent the federal government. A lawsuit regarding the warranty coverage of your vehicle wouldn't be against the federal government, but don't be surprised if the federal government was brought in by the dealership or manufacturer should you challenge the matter in court. HD Mirrors on a Silverado 1500
Transient replied to pewterliftedz's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
If Chevy offered a LTZ Trail Boss, I would've been all over it with the towing mirrors. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk -
2 weeks is turning into 3 weeks, maybe longer. Every Tuesday in checking in with my sales rep to find out the status of my truck. Last update was that it was "In port and assigned a truck". He thought it would be in by the end of this week. I guess not. Looks like I get to call him Tuesday, again, and ask for another update. In other news, either GM or my dealership has their head up their arse. I placed an order through accessories.chevrolet.com over a week ago. Now the dealership can't find it. When i try to contact people via email or phone, I get the run around or ignored. I have to make a 30 minute drive to stand in front of them to get answers. I'm about ready to walk away from the whole deal. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Silverado 2019 Gas Cap Lock

I'll take chocolate syrup over eggs any day. My car has been egged before. The shells chip and scratch the paint. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk -
I wouldn't put it past GM to try to buy their way out of a proper fix. Around 2007 or 2008 many GM cars were sold with heated windshield wash sprayers to help remove ice from windshields on cold mornings. Then somebody discovered these could cause fires. GM issued a recall and replaced the components. Turned out the fix was as bad as the components they replaced, so GM issues another recall. The fix the 2nd time was to remove the components and give each customer cash. The 2008 Saturn Outlook in currently driving until my Silverado arrives at the dealership is one of those cars that were affected. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

2020 Z71 Fender Badge Question
Transient replied to Transient's topic in 2020-2026 Silverado HD & Sierra HD
I appreciate the link, but I'm going to be picky and want to keep the OEM look with the hollowed out Z. After making this thread I did learn the Carhartt Edition was postponed until MY2021. That would explain why I can't find anything about the black badges. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk -
I'm trying to black out all the badges on my 2020 Silverado 1500. I'm aware this isn't the subforum for that truck, but you guys may be able to help. Does anybody have the GM part numbers for the Z71 badges on the front fenders of the 2020 HD trucks? I'm trying to compare with the part numbers of the Z71 badge on the half-ton trucks. If they're the same I'm going to try to track down Z71 badges for the Carhartt Edition 2500HD. Those badges are blacked out from the factory. Picture attached of the Carhartt Badge. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Edit: spelling Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I've been doing some digging on black exhaust cutouts in the rear bumper. I ran into a dead end on GMPartsDirect. Turns out GM does make some. I found them on a Midnight Edition Silverado Trail Boss. I wasn't able to grab its VIN, so I went to Chevy.com and used the build & price tool. When I clicked on the Midnight Edition package I noticed the truck's exhaust cutouts turned black. I then finished the build and clicked on the button that allows you to search available inventory near the default zip code GM's website input. I was able to find a midnight edition Silverado, and wrote down its VIN number. I then took the VIN number to my local dealer to find the part number. They gave me the part numbers, but told me the parts are on backorder. Nobody near to the dealer's search area has them. I then jumped on to GMPartsDirect on my cell phone and searched the part numbers. They are below. The result revealed these are for the Carbon Pro Edition GMC Sierra. I checked the compatibility for the Silverado, but GMPD said they aren't compatible. I get it. Go look for these without a part number and no VIN and all GM sources say these don't exist. IIRC, the price for the black exhaust cutouts are about $10 more each than the chrome ones on GMPD. I want these for my Northsky Blue Trail Boss, so I'll dig a bit further into this to find out how long the backorder is. I'm trying to eliminate all chrome from the exterior of my truck. Hopefully this helps somebody out. Left Side: 84644535 Right Side: 84644536 Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Chevrolet Performance Intake & Exhaust Installed w/video
Transient replied to Zane's topic in Modifications, Wheels & Tires
I've been toying around with this idea, and saw a review on YouTube of a midnight edition Trail Boss. Apparently the midnight edition gets black exhaust shields. Is there anybody with a midnight edition that's willing to share their VIN so I could dig up the part number? I can't find it with GMpartsdirect, and my dealer had nothing either. Even the build and price tool on Chevy's website shows the exhaust shield going black when you click on the midnight edition package. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk -
That 1LE tricked me. Still love the car though. If you're not driving it sideways you're driving it wrong. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
